That is indeed the BigWigs proximity display. If the circle is red, people are too close to you, if it's green you are safe.

To turn it off and go back to the old name-based display, open the BW options and click the "Configure ..." button, then the Proximity tab and uncheck the "Graphical display" option at the top.

Thanks for replying :) I was using r8120 and didn't have it yet. I saw the new proximity in a boss video on youtube from 4-5 days ago and didn't think to check the alphas since I had updated just the day before, pretty dumb in hindsight.

Anyway it looks really nice, good work!

Can anyone help me identify this, please?

It looks like the BigWigs proximity window but shows the data from the minimap and the circle turns red/green when people are in/out of range. I've looked around and it doesn't seem to be an option so I'm guessing it must be a plugin or another addon.

I think that the best default setup is one that requires minimal changes to be playable right out of the box. Ideally the average user would just install the addon, check out what each indicator means, add/remove maybe 1 or 2 and be done. The more layers of configuration you add to that and the harder you make it for him.

Also there is something important about what makes Grid so good that I feel you are missing. What is really great about it is not the amount of information and indicators that you can display, but how many you can take out and the level of filtering that you can do. 90% of buffs/debuffs are something that you don't need to see in combat, but the 10% that you do need to see stand out a lot more and are immediately obvious if everything else is filtered out.

Here's an example configuration I would use with my priest:

1 corner: weakened soul + power word shield (with higher priority)
    2 corner: MY renew
3 corner: healing reduced (mortal strike, wound poison, aimed shot, etc)
4 corner: missing buffs that I can cast (only shown out of combat)
center icon: magic debuff + disease (with icon border indicating the type)
    text 1: name
text 2: missing health + incoming heals
border: important raid debuffs that need immediate attention (like KT frost blast)

With my warlock I would use:
    1 corner: soulstone
center icon: magic debuffs (that I can dispel with my felhunter)
    text 1: name
    border: important raid debuffs

For the center icon I usually make specific statuses for important magic effects and give them higher priority so that they are always shown first. Unstable Affliction, Mark of Blood, any crowd control spells.

Small bug for the wotlk branch: with aura filtering enabled I'm getting the wrong tooltips on buffs, the 1st filtered buff has the tooltip of the first unfiltered buff and so on.

Also small request, I'd like to be able to configure the offset that party pets have with the party window so that I can move them closer.

Updated to r73999 and it's not coloring my own name any more. I think it was working in r73888. I do have the option checked.

It's not just the color, I also have brackets around my own name when I've disabled them for everything else.

I still get the line 157 error, now line 158. Using the EnGB client.

I have found a way to reproduce it simply by using inner focus and then prayer of healing.

Basically any time the mana cost is 0, either with inner focus or arena preparation buff, the tooltip scanning fails. Keep in mind that when mana cost is 0 the tooltip is one line shorter. The bug doesn't seem to affect flash heal or greater heal.

    * Another scrolling suggestion: Add a scroll lock like feature. In other words, a setting that can be toggled quickly where new information is still added to the log, but the log isn't scrolled down to follow, regardless of whether the log was scrolled up to begin with. Could be done with a simple button like the one used to call up the highest hits/crits/... window right now.

The way I would like this to work is for the scrolling to be automatically locked when I'm using my mousewheel to scroll up/down, so that I can quickly check something while in combat and copy/paste if I want to. Then it should automatically unlock and go to the last line after 20/30 seconds I've been idle. Just like minimap zoom addons, where I can zoom in the minimap to check for something and then it automatically zooms out after a short while.

Hi, not sure where to report bugs so here it is:

Interface\AddOns\LibHealComm-3.0\LibHealComm-3.0.lua:157:attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'HealMin' (a nil value)

This usually happens the first time I cast prayer of healing during warmup when waiting for the arena to start.

Apparently people want to distinguish their HoTs from other people's HoTs, see the durations of HoTs, and see the stack counts of HoTs. Personally I think those wanting all of this HoT-specific information should use a specialized HoT tracker/timer to supplement Grid. There's simply not enough space on Grid to show all of that information without it becoming massively cluttered.

As a priest, all I want is just a corner showing if someone has my renew on them, so that I don't overwrite my own hot by mistake. If I want to know the duration I simply target them, but renews are usually just fire and forget unless it's a tank.

is there any way to set the % of the frame alpha? I find it a bit tricky to tell the difference between someone who's in range and someone who's not in range.

    Status->Out of Range->Color

If you have any other status modifiers active for frame alpha, you'll have to tweak those too.

I have the same problem but exactly the opposite :D I would like the 5 man raid layout to behave just like a 5 man party does, with all group members and pets in a single row. Is this possible?

I'm trying out grid with pets for the first time but I can't get it to work like I want. I have "Show Pets for Party" selected and it works fine when I'm solo or in a 5 man party, but pets don't show up when I'm in a raid unless I toggle "Show Party in Raid" but I don't really want to do that.

I know there is a 25 layout w/ pets but I don't really want all the pets clumped up at the end, I want to see just the pets grouped with my party whether I'm in a raid or not. I don't care about pets that are in other groups.

A small update on my WIP, cleaned it up a bit: http://i16.tinypic.com/6ldevk4.jpg

I'm not completely happy with the debuff bars though, I don't know where else I could place them (I don't want to look for them in a corner). Also any suggestions on how to make them look better are welcome.
