    I'm still using TinyTip for it's ' targeted by x players' feature, very handy when assisting on multi-pulls.
    Is there an existing tag/hack to provide this feature for CowTip?

    This feature was added in the update I downloaded yesterday. Not sure of the build number though or what the actual tag name is. The changelog shows it though.

    NumTargetting

    I'm using it in the following tag:
    [IsEnemy?NumTargetting:HideZero:Red:Bracket:White]

    I've modified the healthbar module to have a dogtag field
    I've pastey'd it if you want to take a look and give me some comments.
    It's probably a little rough around the edges still.

    I hadn't looked at the new UnitDebuff api, that makes it significantly easier. I noticed pitbull started showing timers, but wasn't sure on the implementation. I wouldn't bother with DrDamage, I don't think it's necessary. I'll try to outline what I'm thinking:

    UnitDebuff will give you the time left on your debuff, but only your debuff, not other people's.

    I would create an AceLibrary for querying dots that looks something like this:

    self.lastTicks = {}
    self.defaultTicks = {}
    self.tickIntervals={"Corruption" = 3, "Shadow Word Pain" = 3,...}

    function Lib:CHAT_MSG_SPELL_PERIODIC_CREATURE_DAMAGE(event)
     --Example:
     -- Highland Strider suffers 8 Fire damage from your Fireball.
     local mobname, tick, spell = deformat(event,GLOBALSTRING)
     if mobname == nil then return end --someone elses dot
     self.lastTicks[spell][mobname] = tick
     self.defaultTicks[spell] = tick
    end

    function Lib:GetEstimatedDamage(mobname,spell,timeLeft)
    local lastTick = self.lastTicks[spell][mobname]
    if lastTick then
      return lastTick*(timeLeft/self.tickIntervals[spell])
    else
      return defaultTicks[spell]*(timeLeft/self.tickIntervals[spell]
    end

    That's the basics.

    Things to think about:
    What if the spell is purged?
    You can probably detect this with an event.
    Should the Lib deal with this, or should the gui client be responsible?

    One idea is to use AceOO.

    You could grab a DebuffTicker object that would fire off callbacks when it ticks or is removed and provides methods like GetDamageLeft(), GetTimeLeft()

    Then a gui client could just attach these objects to graphical objects they're creating.

    I might have time to actually implement these ideas this weekend.

    1. Waiting for a tick is pointless. The capability is already there to esimate the damage (inlcuding buffs/debuffs, gear, etc), so why wait for a tick to show an estimate?

    3. Why a library, and not a unit frame module?

    Just a thought, but DrDamage can provide good estimates for the damage of each spell, and takes into account current buffs/debuffs. Using that data might make this project a whole lot easier.

    Yurp.

    A good intermediate step would be to add HoT capablity to PitBull_EstimatedHeals, then from there you can turn around and make aPitBull_EstimatedDamage mod with both DD and DoT capability.

    A function might have to be added to DrDamage to be retrieve the damage remaining on a DoT/Hot given its remaining duration.

    DrDamage returns full duration damage, damage per tick etc for current target debuff status from which any addon can easily calculate damage remaining by just multiplying with the ticks left (damage per tick amounts) or just dividing the time left with the full duration and multiplying it with full duration damage.

    This really wouldn't be too hard if you look at it from a unit frame stand point.

    From the unitID, you can retrive all debuffs you have applied and their remaining duration... (http://www.wowwiki.com/API_UnitDebuff)

    From there, you can take the remaining duration, figure the number of remaining ticks, calculate the damage each tick will do, tally it up, and display it in a fashion similar to how Pitbull's Estimated Heals module does it.

    Trinketmenu is not working at all with the latest patch.
    Tried to look for itemrack and it is not updated since 12/2006, as for itemrack2 it is beta and latest update 01/2007.
    What trinket addons do you guys use ? It is way to odd to open the character sheet every time you want to use a trinket ;)

    I use Trinketmenu, seems to work just great, I'm guessing one of your other addons causes Trinketmenu to break. Maybe you should test each of your addons with it and find out which one is breaking it.

    Or check that oh-so elusive box in the addon management screen.

    ItemRack works.

    Rather then looking at an addon's date and dismissing it, why not try it?

    InFlight does what you want it to do. I remember it doing so, and by reading the code, I can tell it does. Upon further inspection, it has had this capability since the initial commit.

    Honestly I'd rather see a mod using phLayout (might not be the exact name) to be able to extrude the edge of a frame into a line, allowing me to place a frame on that line and slide it out to the desired point and know that the two frames are aligned.

    Please allow the shaman class color to be pulled from babble. Babble, and most other mods, pull thier class color infomormation from the global RAID_CLASS_COLORS array as defined by blizzard. If a user wants to change a class color, they can easily edit this array before any addons load by preceding it with a few bangs (!), I made my own one-liner addon to keep shamans teal after the 2.1 patch.

    in pvp mostly id want this. In simple it would be an addon that not only tracks duration of events but the CD, and stale Effects. but would xmit them over the addon chl.

    For example: in EotS the other day with my hunter friend, i have him drop a FreezTrap and i stand on it. btch bout it is that i don't know the exact CD on his traps let alone how much longer the trap will be there, or till it's ready, or how much longer it has left once it's been step'ed in.

    I know that Ant / NECB will show the duration of the frost trap once it's been step'ed in. But as you might know - there is NO COMBAT LOG Event for when a trap is put down.

    Another example would be odd CD of vaious classes, like DeathCoil, or Fear, or Mage's AoE frost, certian warrior abilitys like bloodrage, intercept, Hunter-Misdirection. im sure other things will come up.

    Ive been thinking of this for a while now, and how useful it'd be for pvp.

    Sounds like you'd be filling your screen with too much crap that you wouldn't be able to intuitively interperate and use all of it.
