    Bug report (Sprocket 0.8.2, Sprocket-r11482.zip via /files/):

After opening a sprocket menu with a SHIFT+Key Keybinding, closing it and then hovering over the Floating Button the mouse becomes locked. Typing /sprocket config I see the world frame marked with a green border.

I can still reproduce this when using latest /files/ version. It also affects the other modifier-keys alt and ctrl.

    Fixed now.

    Sprocket 0.8.4
    * restored compatibility with OmniCC
    * re-parented some frames to fix compatibility issue with oCD/OmniCC
    * fixed a bug caused by using a shift, alt or control key menu and then clicking a mouse overlay

    Thanks a lot!

Hmmm, maybe you should try with a bar switching mod... sprocket is for mouse navigation. ;)

What is sprocket but a really nifty bar mod though? I don't see any reason to leave this kind of binding functionality out if it's not extremely difficult to do so. It would be great for minimalist UI users like myself who could go without showing any bars on their screen and just pressing a few buttons to see and switch between bars.

Hmmm, the key feature of Sprocket is very fast mouse navigation: Opening under cursor position, moving in directions instead of klicking on buttons etc.
The only thing that your idea shares with sprocket is the graphical layout. Your idea could be integrated into sprocket with a bit of coding, but I don't think that it wold make much sense.

Hmmm, mikma... the first thing I did was setting profiles right etc.
I *know* how those F***** profiles work and they work in most Ace2 Addons without any problems. ;)

But bartender2 keeps fragging all profiles when logging in with another char, setting a char profile and then relogging to char 1. Everything is lost.

As Workaround I'm using DEFAULT profile on all Chars right now.
Maybe a conflict with another addon or something like this... I'll try deleting saved variables tomorrow.

I've been looking for something like this before.
Is it able to follow the mouse?
    Are the spells scrollable?
And am i able to use mouse click for useing ability and change page?

What i mean is and would be very nice is that if you for example hold mouse4 the spocket pops up and follow mouse, by using the scroll wheel i can choose different spells and abilities.
The top or center spell/ability would be the useable one which i can use when i left click with my mouse. Rightclicking would let me change bar/page between page 1-3.
Would also be nice to lock sertain bars in combat so i wouldn't be able to change page to my food and drinks and such while fighting.

Haven't been able to try it out yet but will as soon i get home, these are just some things i personally would like but i understand if you might not like them.

I'll have to try this addon out when i get home, it seems awesome.

    /Jinkin

Hmmm, sprocket is a different approach. The menus are only visible als long as you click hold a button. Then you select your action, let the button go and *plong* the action is performed.
You don't need different pages, you can create dozens of different menu rings and connect them or assign mousebuttons and hotkeys to them.

Sprocket ist NOT a round looking actionbars mod.

Crazy key binding idea. I really don't know if this is possible with the current setup or possible at out but thought it could be pretty neat.

Right now there are 8 key binding each can bring up a sepreate sprocket wheel. What if say I bind the keys 1-8 to the 8 sprocket keybinding. Now add a sticky option that I don't have to hold the key down that pops the menu up. So now I tap 1 and my sprocket tied to key 1 pops up. At this point keys 1-8 change to be bound to the 8 items on that menu so key 1 is bound to button 1(say top), key 2 next to it moving around clockwise all the way around to the top left postion at key 8. So now navigating though the sprocket menus is simply a matter or taping the keys 1-8 and no mouse movement at all. One addtional key binding would be needed to cancel the current sprocket menu just like esc closes windows.

Hmmm, maybe you should try with a bar switching mod... sprocket is for mouse navigation. ;)

Concerning about oSkin file size is getting bigger to support more other mods frames. It's there anything to let people add new file just they have a mod need to be skinned? So the default oSkin only skin the default WoWUI. Otherwise this oSkin file is getting bigger bigger to support thousands of addons on the net available....

Hmmm, I tought of posting exact the same words.

Also Castingbars, Minimaps, Actionbars, Unitframes are all covered by a lot of other addons... no need for oSkin do do the same imo.

Is anyone else having an issue of all your settings being wiped?

I logged in today with two characters who are all set up and adjusted as I like them. Profiles are set to Character in both cases. No problems.

I logged into a third character who had never used the mod before and decided to just copy/paste the setting from another character for this one so logged out.

Navigated to my saved variables folder and opened the mods file. File was empty.

Logged into one of the characters that was set up previously and all setting are gone.

I've had issues before of loosing setting for one or another character with this mod but never had my entire saved variables file for this mod cleaned out.

Luckly it only take s bit to set it all up, but still its pretty annoying and not something I want to have to do regularly.

Using latest mod version (2.0.11475) but have had this happen with previous versions as well.

This is the only ace2 mod I've had this issue with.

I have exactly the same problem here...
It warkse fine as long as you use just one char. When logging in with a second or third character every BT2 saves are lost completely.

    Another small problem.
Sprocket menus are opening behind my new and shiny bartender2 dreamlayout bars. Maybe a bartender2 issure...

My unit frame problem is an oUF problem... I get an error from sprocket when entering oUF_Target as custom frame.

I tried the fadeout as you suggested, but it doesn't read very well. What I have done instead (for now anyway) is to leave a trail of the selection lines as you navigate sub-menus. It makes it a bit more clear where you can from.

Mouse triggers on unit frames do indeed work. However, when covering a frame sprocket uses the hit rect insets to create the overlay. This means that on, for example, the default Blizzard unit frames, you'll need to click the portrait itself, not the health/mana bars. I may add an option to ignore the insets at some point.

It is possible to open menus on those items. In the next version I've added a feature which will print the name of the frame your cursor is over. This should make it easier to find custom frames to link sprockets to. (fyi, you're looking for CharacterMainHandSlot and CharacterSecondaryHandSlot)

New version should be up soon.

Sounds great. Thanks for your replies... I'll try the new version tonight.

OmniCC is still viable for BT2, just because it's not Ace'd doesn't mean it's "bad" or bloated. That's a Myth. Tuller makes great addons and OmniC is very small and lightwieght. No reason not to use it just because it it's not an Ace addon.

But to answer your question - No there isn't an on button cooldown.

Tuller's addons are great... but Omnicc has too much features for me so I looked for a smaller or more modular alternative. And just i found a basic.lua file in the OmniCC folder, a OmniCC just withe the basic features. ;) Now I'm a happy mage.
Only one problem: The cooldown model on bar1 hides the cooldown text. It's just on bar1, it looks fine on all other bars.

I just switched from Bongos to Bartender2... it's amazing.
Dreamlayout is delicious. Everything works perfect. Thank you!

    Two small questions.
    - is there an Ace2 way for On-button cooldowns? OmniCC is nice, but I don't need any more than simple cooldowns on my buttons.
    - is there a way to hide macro-text on bartender2 bars? maybe by adding 2 lines of code or something?

    Hello again.
I've played a lot with sprocket, and I'd like to ask a few things and make a suggestion. Suggestion first:

When opening a submenu I miss a form of animation. The menu just disappears instant and the submenu pops up. First time i was a litte bit lost in my navigation... maybe adding a 0.25s fadeout to the parent menu when opening a submenu? Or let the whole menu fly away like the single buttons already do? So the user could better follow his navigations.
(I would try to do this myself, but my programming skills ended 10 years ago with Qbasic textadventures. ;) ... so I have to make the best out of it and post suggestions and bugreports)

    And here two questions:
    - mouse triggers on unit frames doesn't work (/files/ version, tried it with blizz and oUF), I can assign a frame, but nothing happens on click. Am I doin' something wrong?
    - is it possible to open sprockets for main and offhand weapons in the character tab? (read: "have the weapon slots frame names?")

imYemeth: I have planned to add the buttons as your describe for sometime. It's mostly a matter of the time it takes to create the UI to show/hide/configure them. I'll see what I can do.
