You can also just combine all the bags into one. Basically just make a new bag and copy all the sections of the other bags into it. If it looks good, delete the other bags, or just set them to not show automatically. Good chance to make your own categories and sections, too. A single section for each of your tradeskills for example, divide the armor pieces you can use from those you can't use and such. If you like the work. If you are lazy, or afraid of baggins' config menu, then it's probably best to use another bag-addon or go back to onebag. :)

Edit: If you do the above, and edit your categories as well, make sure you do not create two categories that get all the stuff that fits in no category. Dunno if that still is a problem, but I vaguely remember that it was in the past, and that it gave quite a headache. :)

Well, that worked like a charm and am still knocking my head against the wall that I didn't think of it myself. Too obvious I guess :D Have one nice bag now, instead of chaos all over the screen.

Only one problem, I used to have a section for BoE greens and blues I found so that I would immediately see which items I could safely sell. And now, no matter what I do, I can't get that back. It's somewhere in my old WTF and yes, I have kept that somewhere, so I can look it up I'm sure.

@ Avazza: I tried Arkinventory before I went to Baggins. I can't remember what it was anymore, but I switched to another addon for a reason.

@Pusikas: Ah, thanks, I should've thought about that myself. I don't mind fiddling about with addons for a while (lost track of all the hours spent tweaking :D ) It's just that I have so many active characters that I like to make one setup I can use for all of them. Nothing wrong with 5 hours of fiddling on an UI, but 5 hours * 10 chars is a bit much ;) Was planning on doing a bit of UI tweaking tonight, so may as well add this to the list.

First of all, sorry if this is a stupid question and/or asked 17 million times before, my searching didn't find anything on the subject. (And am at work, so can't spend ages on a forum :( )

I love Baggins, it works lovely, but I really like the concept of the onebag view. Is it possible to have Baggins show as one bag with all the categories in it? I ask this mainly because I am lazy ;) I have 10 chars I play more or less regularly. I wanted one bag setup for them all, but what looks nice and pretty on one char is a complete mess on another.

So, can I make a onebag view or am I doomed to create bag profiles for all my chars separately? :D

Browsed to last 5 pages quickly and at frist glance didn't see anyone mentioning this.

Past week or so it seems like loaded profiles aren't remembered after I log out and in again. It is no disaster since I can simply go to "Copy Profile from ... " and get it back, but it is a bit annoying to have to do that whenever I log in. I basically have two main profiles (one for non stanced classes and one for stanced ones), so I just copy from "stanced main" and "not stanced main" profiles for all my characters. Until last week the chosen profile would stay put through logging out and leaving the game.

I have no other addons than before and also no error messages that could be of any use. Just a profile that goes off and hide in the twilight zone as soon as I log off.

Anywayz, just mentioning this to see if anyone else has it too. Like I said, it's not too big a drama because all does work fine, just a bit of a nuissance.

For me it was buggs all over the place when i ran my default update (without externals) so i deleted both folders and restored the backups i made of addons and WTF then tried with exetrnals as i had read in several posts and it worked perfect, not a single error.

Ha, well I cleared out old folders and did the download WITH externals and my bugsack nearly exploded, so it's a bit strange that some people have to do it with and others without to make it error free. Biggest explosion of errors is when I try to run Cartographer and Pitbull together. Disabling Cartographer (entirely, not just Battlegrounds) reduces errors when I login. But when I try to pick a profile for Pitbull I get slapped in the face with errors again.

Anyhow, will try manual approach now :) I'm sure it will all be fine in the end, so you won't hear me whining and complaining. I'll stick with it and see where I end up tomorrow.

For those having massive errors after upgrading, I may have found an explanation. I always update using WUA WITH externals. After multiple attempts installing, uninstalling, deleting, reinstalling Pitbull, Cowtip, Cartographer and FuBar with no success, I decided to download the files from the WowAce file list and install manually.

What I discovered is that when using WUA, the installations were creating individual directories for each embedded module. For instance, after installing with WUA I had folders in my Interface/Addons directory for Pitbull, Pitbull_Aura, Pitbull_Banzai, Pitbull_BarFader.... etc, etc. However when I download the Pitbull file manually and expanded it to my Addons folder, only a single Pitbull folder existed. The same was the case for Cartographer.

After manually installing the files, I logged in and other than a couple minor Cartographer errors, I have regained access to all 4 addons.

Not sure if I have settings wrong in WUA or if there's a problem elsewhere, but try deleting ALL Pitbull and Cartographer folders from your Addons directory, and install manually to see if it solves your issues.

Aha, this sounds like a good plan. Had errors galore yesterday (did post some on the jira) even after emptying WTF and addon folder completely and redownloading. About 2 or 3 times :D

It's a bit funny that you hear conflicting solutions "update WITH externals and you're fine" vs "update WITHOUT and you're fine".

I'm definitely going to try the manual download and if that doesn't work, jump out of a window or something :) I really don't get why it doesn't work for me, but I am not giving up.

Just mentioning another problem I encountered. I am at work atm, so all I can do is put it here and see if maybe someone else has the same problems. If not, I can make a proper bug report when I get home again.

I am unable to save and load profiles on characters. I can pick a profile and setup the unitframes (and then only if I remembered to choose a profile first instead of fiddling with the default first), but when I move to another character and I want to load the profile I just saved I get errors.

The general setup seems to get copied (size, position, ...), but I lose my custom colors. The health bars are the default green, even though in the menu custom color AND the actual color I made are enabled.

Other problem I encountered is that whenever I try to activate a module (like portrait) I get error messages as well.

Like I said, this is not very helpful I'm sure, but I will post some error messages to the jira later on if I can't find the ones I have on there already. If anyone else has these problems, feel free to post the error reports before I do, I am new to this entire buggrabbing adventure ;)

Not sure if this is the right place, or helpful, but I got the following error when I logged in while having Pitbull and Cartographer enabled:

[2007/09/18 20:10:08-1-x1]: LibRockComm-1.0-50875 (PitBull):1421: Cannot embed library "table: 169995B8" into the same object "table: 16997BF0" more than once.

    LibRock-1.0-50900 (PitBull):1753: in function `Embed'
    LibRockComm-1.0-50875 (PitBull):1421: in main chun

I deleted both Pitbull and Cartographer in my addon folder and downloaded them anew. I also disabled Cartographer_Battlegrounds.

As soon as I disable Cartographer I get no error messages whatsoever. I can live without Cartographer for a while, so I guess I'll just go and redo my UI as I was planning to :)

Would be even greater if I got Baggins_ClosetGnome to work, but I'm sure I'll figure that out soon.

You can find a set of instructions for Baggins_ClosetGnome in the pluggin's thread. Though Baggins interface to Category and Bag creation has changed a bit since those were written so the exact clicks might be a little different. Let me know if you still have questions about it.

Ah, thanks, that worked like a charm. And it at least partially solves the soulbound thing :)

First of all, I really like Baggins :) Would be even greater if I got Baggins_ClosetGnome to work, but I'm sure I'll figure that out soon.

I have a question though, browsed through this thread and used search but couldn't find anything at first glance, so please don't shoot me if this has been asked before.

I would like to make a bag for non-soulbound equipment, so that the green and blue BoE stuff I find doesn't get mixed up with my normal equipment. Is there a way to do this? If there is it's probably very simple, but I'm not an expert at coding and rules (just happy if I manage to create a somewhat decent looking UI all by myself :) )

    Thanks in advance :)

Same problem here... either I get the version check error or else the entire thing just crashes within seconds.

Changing the mirror didn't help. Nor did the netsh winsock reset thing. All that did was giving me a heart attack because my Windows wouldn't start anymore. It did after a while, but well, no fun there. Deleted the entire updater and will try to reinstall later.

In meanwhile I'll manually update my addons like I did before I conquered my "aaargh, automatic updaters are scary" thought *sigh*
