I know Obble said he'd cry but...

    Raid shot:

    DK shot:

Also, I didn't bother editing out my name from the screenshots, which apparently means do come log onto my realm and whisper me, get ignored and make a new character begging me not to ignore you again -- but that's not what I mean to imply. Honestly.

    It's the simplesquare apocalypse!

    Love it, Sojik, Greatwork.

I still find it amazing that people will go on to realms and PM people about their UI's but, then again, maybe I'm not amazed by it :P

Which tooltip mod did you modify? Neals?

I didn't say it's all about knowledge. But I get alot of ideas that I dont know how to put into effect. For example this border thingy. Prehaps I always wanted a border like that, but without the knowledge I would never be able to have it. I would have to wait until someone with more knowledge would share it.

And I think your definition of "rubbish at lua" differs from mine.

I'm kind of in the same boat. If he's "rubbish", I'd hate to see where that put me :P

I've learned quite a bit from poking around Neals, Lyn's, and a bunch of others addons and packs. I've been able to figure out how to move things around (oUF and the like) to where I want them and even how to mess around with some buff borders.

I'd love to be able to do what Sojik did to his UI a page or so back and I've been looking at what Maneut did to learn some more but sometimes I just don't get it.

Would I like them to do releases? Sure. But I've never come on here and PM'd Neal or Sojik or asked publicly because I simply think it's not cool to do so.
It also possibly helps me to try and figure it all out for myself, as frustrating as it is sometimes.

Thank goodness for these forums though. I'm not a frequent poster but I must check in a hundred times a day.

    Addon List:

Now if I could change the border for Auracle...

That's a pretty heavily modified oUFzlim, yes? Or is it just oUFzlim without the portrait?
It's nice in any case. I used Sojik UI for quite a while until much of it sent out of date. Good work as always.

Multisampling turned off, UI scale and using the right textures all boost the crisp look of a UI.

The only issue I have with turning multisampling off is that while it does make elements of the UI look crisper, it makes the game rendering look "jaggie" (to me anyway).

Edges of stairs and building aren't crisp anymore.

I usually turn it up again. I'd rather have the game look better than the UI I guess.

The round texture was made on request for me by Roth, i think it's probably uploaded on wowI still. I placed it within nBuff, as Neal had already sorted a function which allowed SetPoint of each buffline (Easier than writing one into rBuff)

The buttontexture on my actionbars is SimpleSquare coloured by class.

I'll look around for that texture a bit more. I was looking around quite a bit but couldn't find it.
There's a mod called Buffskin that has a few texture packs but unfortunately, not that one.
Luckily, I still have nBuff so I'll play around with it a bit.

Too bad Buttonfacade doesn't have a Blizz (gold) texture. I could use it.
Whether or not it would be a bit too much "gold" in the UI, is up to question.

Edit: Got a texture and got it working. The buff itself is still square though and the corners stick out of the texture (so it's not as clean). Guess I have more work to do. I'm not sure if it's the same texture as yours so maybe that's the issue. I fact. after looking at the one you did, it's definately not the same but at least I'm on the right track.
How'd you get the buffs themselves to fit the round texture clean?

    Thanks for your time.

Just some experimentation really, i've since replaced the buff textures.

UF's are just placeholders, i'm working on something shiny with a friend.

The mainbar texture fades in and out between the state seen in the screeny to the gryphons shown (for no other reason than i love messing about with SetGradiantAlpha :P)

While I'm still on the fence over the fonts a few of you have trended towards, I really like those buff borders.

Which buff mod did you give those round borders to?

Well, I really liked Sojik's UI and was using it before the big patch broke much of it.
He unfortunately decided not to update it himself and went with (like many of us) Neal's.

I've also used much of Lyn's great work in the past and also wanted those elements in what I use daily.

So here is my Frankenstein mash-up of Sojik's main layout with oUF-Lyn and a few pieces of Neal's great work.

Just got into the beta today, so I'll find out tomorrow how good it's going to be.

The CE beta servers wont be open until later this week (or so I heard).

I downloaded my beta, tried to get it going but found out why I wasn't getting auth'd. No servers for us. Yet.

Nice work on that, St0nedpenguin. I like the consistency of the borders and I see a few places where info can be dropped in ;)

Look forward to messing around with it once you UL.

no he doesn't have one and as far as I know he'll never have one.

    Don't be so quick.

I read the WoW EU forums as well. ;)

Hopefully we'll get very lucky and one will get uploaded someplace.

    In progress...
(I dont like the font :X)

    9/10

At least it's a fresh idea. Not sure I'd use it myself but I give you lots of credit for coming up with something that raised my eyebrows.

Been a while since I saw a UI that did that. Very nice job.

You have any performance issues with using coolDown?

How do you move them by the way? Tried them a couple of times and haven't seen a way to move the bars around.

    Thanks for your time.

Ever tried to klick on that "BIG BLUE" Button on your Minimap ?^^

If not,....than its the anser ;)

Ever notice that when you use simpleminimap, that you don't ever SEE the big blue button that you speak of?

Thanks for the reply, even though the ever apparent dose of douchebaggery you threw my way wasn't necessary.

I disabled simpleminimap and NOW I see that button, thanks for your time anyway.

Christ, the way people treat each other nowadays is unbelievable.

From looking at the post, i do not think the poster was trying to treat you badly. I think just a bit of teasing (ie: the wink)

Interestingly enough... I've been using cooldown and simpleminimap for many months now and the blue button is and has always been there.

Well, I can't attest for what you've seen on your screen but on mine, there hasn't been a blue button until I disabled simpleminimap.

And if his original reply wasn't as laden with sarcasm as it appeared to me, I apologize for striking back so hard.
