Would it be possible for you to add the ability to still see less detailed info if the party member didn't have JasonQuest but did have Quixotelib? As I recall it provides some but not all of the quest info.
Either way, thanks for writing this, it's been something I've wanted for a while and never had the time to work on, myself.

Forgive me if this is very stupied,
But how did you get a quest database from Wowhead in the first place?
May 5, 2007I'm just curious why there's a character limit (around about 3,000 or so I'm guessing) - neither a complaint nor a feature request, I just had various bits of info I wanted to copy over from guild forum posts into notes and find that I must split them, which isn't much problem.Posted in: General AddOns
Also wondering if there's any plans to implement a way of requesting pages from other users, some sort of system like enchantlist's !enchant would work well. One could whisper their friend "!omni folios" or such to see a list of folios marked public (one might have private folios..,) then "!omni list <folioname/number>" to see the pages in it, and finially "!omni get <folioname/number> <pagename/number>" something like that. I try to keep a good deal of useful information around for guild members to nab off me, a system like that would make it easier than me having to stop and send notes a bit.

is there a way to show the amount of the items in the mailbox, like 5 super healing potions ? I got an old ace Addon which do this for my its calling mailtip.
You might try Sanity, it will record all iems in your characters' mailboxes.

Current version of decursive has the option to play a sound when someone gets a debuff you can cure :)
Yes, but do I have to display it's muf/list stuff to get the sound? And is it range sensitive so I'm not spammed with dings while in av? Those are my main concerns.
Apr 21, 2007First off, wow, you guys have done awesome work. I've been tinkering with PitBull off and on since a couple days after this thread appeared, and am impressed with the progress. Thus far I've replaced agUF, but only used either for a few odd frames here and there (focus/tot, etc.) and used Grid for my self/party/raid frames. Last night decided to try using it fulltime for self and party, relegating grid off to handling raids. Don't get me wrong, I still love Grid, but variety is the spice of life after all, and he whol controls the spice controls the universe, or something like that.Posted in: Unit Frames
I do have a quick question though. I've been using GridAlert to ding whenever someone's has a debuff I can cure. I'm not asking for PitBull to do this, it's very likely beyond it's scope. I'm just curious if someone knows of a mod which would do this for me so I can finish switching to PitBull for party frames. I considered Detox, but when I used to use it, it required the active list to be shown for dinging. I'd rather not have anything extra shown, just sound to draw my attention to the frames.
Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Mar 24, 2007Here's mine, Alliance, mostly netherstorm/shadowmoon with a small smattering of lower quests.Posted in: Map/Minimap AddOns

thanks for the reply.. and darn.. then my ui will look like crap when i'm not in a raid :(
If it's just mostly UI padding and filler you need for when you're not in a raid, you could probably set grid's border transparent and make a fake background in eePanels to fill the spot nicely.

... (like location of quest giver, chained info, mobs that dropped quest items, etc.)
If you're storing location of quest giver, can this then replace cartographer quests as well, with the new version? Also, how about storing location of quest turn in, if it's more than a few map ticks away from the quest giver?
I'm looking forward to the importer, thanks for all the hard work :)

Someone should write a importer...
I'd recommend against copy/pasting. The data structure is setup in such a way that it would be very difficult to do it this way. I've got a idea for a pretty simple import script that should be able to compile a database with no duplicates. It doesn't matter if you have Alliance and Horde on the same save file, the importer I will write will sort them out and I'll post a Horde file and an Alliance file.
The way I see it, it shouldn't take long to compile a fairly complete list if we get enough contributors. So...Let's keep the save files coming! :)
This would be really nice, I've only been using the mod for a few days and already love it, but see the need for a lot of shared data. What I'm wondering is, if you write a merging script, do you have any plans for dealing with mobs as quest objectives? I just did the mastery chains in Nagrand and now have little icons everywhere from killing the quest mobs. I don't mind this personally, it still will always give me a general idea of where they are and where I found a lot of them (whatever "them" may be for any given quest.) But merge 20 people's variables who have done this quest and you'll start to get a pretty dense field of notes.
This may be no problem as you can always use the options to show only notes for quests you're on. In the event you were on that quest though, it could result in a very hard to see minimap.
Just curious, either way anxious to see the merged db thing.
Feb 25, 2007A special color for enchants across the board would be nice, to quickly differentiate "Oh, that was added to that item" type thing at a glance.Posted in: General AddOns

Maybe a suggestion, don't know if its worthwhile or not (or even if its possible?) but maybe a 'predefined' setup which changes according to the class that has the mod installed.
If you implement this, I hope you might leave the option not to enable it. I think it's a good idea, and I might eventually use profiles for custom coloring a bit on separate classes, however in general I'd prefer a consistant color scheme for quicker reading, once I'm used to it (much like when I see a brown class in raid frames, I know it's a warrior.)
Either way, great mod, really makes it quick to evaluate an item at a glance.

Also did right click to do travel forms for Shammies & Druids, & summoned mounts for warlocks & palies.
I don't play my lock much, so havn't had a lot of time to test this, and realize the post was a while ago. I just wanted to ask though, is this feature still in? I've tried resetting the bars to default, the mount button still doesn't show up when showing category items, it would be nice to have a way to get my felsteed in the bar in the same place my other chars mounts are. I checked the forum thread and can't find any more info. I've hesitated to ask before since the wiki and wowi pages both clearly state that there's no support for pally/lock mounts, but was simply curious if this feature is still in or not.
Feb 24, 2007There's a feature request for it here, http://code.google.com/p/agunitframes/issues/detail?id=81&can=2&q= -- I'm not aware of any addons for agUF that allow this yet.Posted in: Unit Frames
