Thanks for posting guys, I sent you both followup PMs with more questions. Check your inboxes and get back to me when you get a chance.

Does anyone else have any great stories to tell about the demanding life of the WoW addon coder? I guess I should try to contact Rowne, as he has been out fo the game for a while (i've been a lurker on here for some time.)

    Hi Mod Authors,

I'm a writer and I'm interested in developing a story about the pressures involved in coding ui mods for the WOW community. Modding takes time and effort. Even small mods take hours and I know the big mod projects have consumed weeks or months of man-hours to implement. To make it worse, some of you receive no compensation other than a rude comment about bugs or some random feature request.

I'm looking for people willing to be interviewed for the article. If you have any great stories about how you cope with the demands of the community on your coding skills and time, please send me a PM. If you ever thought about quitting, have actually quit modding to just play WOW more, or wonder why you ever started coding in the first place, send me a PM. If you have ever wanted to say "WTF people! I just need some time to sleep! Stop commenting/emailing/PMing me!" Now's your chance.

Send me a PM and I'll collect everything and write an article which will highlight the efforts you put into each of your mods. And of course, if you'd rather stay anonymous, that's cool too, but your story can still be told.

no idea whats going on in your two systems... but its working fine here.

Based on Lew's insistence that nothing was wrong, I played around a little. I deleted the saved variables for eavesdrop. After that, it works fine. Hope that helps.

    Quote from Nakawe »

I must be slow, I just realized that postman and postal are different mod from different authors. Grennon gmail new mod is postal. Tale writing another mail mod is postman. Do I have this correct now? I used gmail for ages and found postal on svn. I will be checking it out.

    lol.

Apparently you didn't read through this thread...

Right now, I wish there was just one mail mod out there I could use. I love the mailto funtions built into this mod, but I can't live without the CTmod-like mass mail functionality that Gmail offered. I also never knew why noone could implement the mailto dropdown list on a mass mail tab/frame. If Postman can do that, I am sold. If not, i will probably use Postal whenever Grennon deigns to commit it to trunk.

    Hi Antiarc,

This is still my number one choice for inv. mods in 2.0. Thanks for all the work.

I still sometimes get my backpack (not my other bags) opening when I talk to a merchant/mailbox/etc. Sometimes when I close the merchant window, my bag will appear, which leads me to believe a bag toggle is still in effect. It's possible another mod is causing this, which I will test when I get home. One easy way to handle this was implemented in Discord Mini Inventory. A slash command was given to replace all of the default bag hooks with the opening inventory addon hooks. I'm not a coder, so I don't know how it was done but maybe you could take a look here (http://www.discordmods.com/DiscordMiniPanels/Downloads/DiscordMiniPanels1_1.zip.)

Now that I see your posting here, I want to reiterate another request. When accessing my bank, is there a way for another sanity window to open so that I can clearly see which items are in which location and quickly transfer them?

Also, how is sanity handling profession specific bags. Are herbs only going into herb bags by default? One easy way to get around this is to have bag location categories. Clicking on say, bag 2, will show items in that bag regardless of other categories. That's probably a bigger deal to implement than it seems but it's just an idea.

It's an inventory replacement mod. I'm not sure where the author is but it's the best replacement I've found yet.

Now if only he could clear up some of these issues. Does anyone know what code can be used to suppress all of your bags from opening? I want sanity to replace my bags entirely but for some reason my backpack still opens when toggling at merchants, bank and mailbox.

Also, if there could be a separate window for the bank when you are actually at the bank, that would be convenient for easy transferring.

This may be working now, but I wont have a mage till tbc, and I have no warlock at all to test on. Right click on the category should do the cast.

Also did right click to do travel forms for Shammies & Druids, & summoned mounts for warlocks & palies.

Tried this on my mage. Summoning food and water works great. But mana stones haven't been implemented yet. (drank a few potions by accident, :( )

One thing with the food/water though. Right now, no autobar button appears when there is no food/water in my inventory. So I can't right click to summon more. Is there any way a darkened icon can appear for mages so when they log in they can immediately summon more water/food?

Great work, though, thanks for implementing this feature!

I've yet to test on my warlock's healthstones. Will report back when I do.

I don't think the crafting is necessary. There are plenty of mods for that. I think that conjuring class created consummables would be a big plus though. And perhaps you could configure different mouse-click bindings so the user could choose if right click or alt click or whatever was better suited to their play style.

Thanks for looking into it. I look forward to seeing the feature in future revisions. Keep up the awesome work.
