I don't know why the article came out as nasty as it did,
Oh really? The article feels nasty? That wasn't my intention. I agree that the article was biased towards protecting copyright but I felt strongly that the issue was being ignored.
I didn't mean to even attack Kaelten, but he said the things I quoted him as saying. I couldn't ignore his refusal to account for Benumbed's actions.
I personally find it a complement when someone takes my code... it means I did well and they liked it, I just didn't hit their need exactly.
That is your prerogative, Tekkub. You are able to freely license your work as you see fit. For whatever reason, Mazzlefizz chooses not to. What right does Kaelten have to deny him the ability to protect his work?

Besides, who wants stupid 3D frames anyway? That's just fluff that wastes resources!
In english I suppose it is called "patent abuse".
Patent something really obvious that every sane being would do this exact same way and profit.
You are wrong, sir. That is not the case with this add-on.
Mazzlefizz wrote, i believe, code which handled the 3-D models in a completely unique way. In addition to the time and energy needed to code the add-on, the process took many hours of research to get data points for each mob in the game. Benumbed took all of this work, and reposted it as his own, without bothering get permission.
Seems to me the author has some kind of personal problem with Kaelten.
Not true. I actually had a long conversation with Kaelten on the matter and I think he and I have a lot in common. I just think he's in the wrong on this issue.
Copyright aside, an addon site is built on the backs of free labor from the authors who post there. I think it's bad idea to encourage bad behavior between authors by not addressing Benumbed's theft.
This may be a stupid newbie question but I can't find any guide on how to download an earlier version of an addon. Is there a link that someone could give to version 67493.2?
I have a lot of alts which help each other with profession grinding. I've been using both of these addons for a while to have item tooltips to display how much of an item my alts might have. Handy when I need to know where my Hearts of Fire are being stored.
But now I seem to be getting double the amount of information stored by Character Info Storage in my tooltip. Annoying for uncommon items, but it's worse for the hearthstone as you can see in attached image.
I can't seem to nail down why this is happening. Anyone have an idea? I am using a combo of informant and mendeleev, but it doesn't seem to make a difference when I disable informant.
I really like this HUD, I think it looks better than most of them out there.
I'm having strange issues with the alpha settings however. It seems the only setting that "saves" is the last one adjusted. So if I set it to 80% alpha out of combat, the HUD is at 80% alpha. But if I enter combat, the HUD stays at 80%.
Also, profiles do not seem to save correctly. When I save a profile for one of my characters, switch to default, then back to the profile I had saved, nothing happens. That is, all of my saved settings do not seem to save.

I agree with Tekkub, there appears to be only one person throwing mud in this thread.

Damn right!

I didn't see any options in CharacterInfoStorage to display alt possession but maybe the problem lies there.

This thread speaks about a possible bug in combuctor. No error is thrown but there are multiple parts of a tooltip shown when using mendeleev.

I'm almost positive it's a conflict with two addons calling for the same info but I don't have the chops to nail down which addon is the problem.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I like that I can add my own frames. Anyone know what the official frame names for Tuller's Comductor mod?
Another question: Will using ndragit even work with Comductor's Bank and Inv. frames given their contents?

Anyway, thank you for this addon, it's great.
