Found a small bug, dunno if its been reported. When accidentally bumping the plugins button without any plugings (I only know of ALR, are there others?), the following occurs.

    ID: 51
    Error occured in: Global

    Message: ..\AddOns\Skillet\UI\MainFrame.lua line 587:

    Still working well otherwise :)

Bug report: Unless disabled is checked first under loot quality, ace3 will error out when you try and check off green, blue, etc.

Comment: Why have a disabled? If none are checked, isn't the effect the same?

    Just had a "whoops" moment.

I was out gathering herbs just now, and had my skillet window open to look up a recipe.

Long story short, I didn't see the mob until I got attacked. That isn't the problem. I couldn't close skillet so I could worry about the mob, though.

I saw something a few pages ago about secure frames and such, I know they get picky about actions in combat.

It was just a small thing that I thought I should mention. If a way to drop skillets window, or fade the alpha, or something, on combat start.. that could be a help :)

PS: no bugs though, functionality is working *great* :D

Thanks for the info. I'm still a bit confused about the "+1% Crit" and "+1% Hit" lines, though. Reposting my tooltip:

    +100 AP: 14.06
    +1% Crit (22.08): +1.23
    +1% Hit (15.77): 1.23
    +1% Total (Cr/Ht/AP): 23 / 16.4/9.1

On the crit line, what is the 22.08? Is it how much damage would be added to the ability's average damage if I gained 1% crit? (I think so.) And then what is the +1.23, and why is this number the same on both the crit and hit lines?

I'm not sure, but I thought those were the ratings required at your level to cause an 1% increase in crit/hit. I could be mistaken, though(?)

If so, a one percent chance either to crit or to hit would decrease your miss rating by the same amount, if I understand how WoW handles attack rolls. So the 1.23 would be the average increase in damage, then? It would make sense that it's the same for both, if you think of it as decreasing the chance to miss by the same amount.

The addon "Mendeleev" will handle the whole what is used for what recipe reverse lookup.

It has some bugs these days though, but it works for the most part.

Hey hey hey :D glad to know it's working good :)

Yup, thanks a lot for that debug :), I just had it happen tonight on my raid to BT, and I was like "WTF??" ... it must be fixed now, damn those nil values! :P

I also added an option to toggle showing verbose messages, it should make you happier now ^_^.

About the variables... well, I had in mind to make it per-character because you might want to loot some specific items for a character with some professions but wouldn't want to have another character with different professions loot items that weren't useful to that one but would be useful for the other character, so I decided to make it per-character so you don't end up looting everything "globally" (if you have more than one character with 2 professions on each one, it will be a mess!)

About that; I was pondering that while I was out herbing tonight. I had thought of this for an idea... Is it possible to have a lookup to match what is in the loot window to what is in my bags currently?

That is... If i am after fadeleaf, once I loot it once, i'll have fadeleaf in my inventory. If magnet could look and say, 'oh, we have some already. I bet he wants to pick up more.', that would be perfect.

It would also eliminate a lot of complex rules. Say you only want medium leather when skinning, and not light, or hides, or anything. Just make sure to only loot medium, and you won't pick up what you aren't gathering.

It was just an idea, you know ;p

And thanks again for the useful addon!

EDIT: and will try out the updated rev in the morning. Well. Tomorrow. Its already 4 am now. ><

new version working good here, just a couple little things.

Have to set settings for each character. Not the end of the world, but I guess i'm used to global profiles.

On startup, it throws an error, but still works ok. Error being,

Also, an option to suppress chat output would be nice, or at least be able to direct where it outputs to.

    Looking good so far ^_^

Ahhh, that sounds like it would be the issue.

I would modify the conditions though. I bet it only shows up when the crafting requires more then a single reagent. IE, heavy netherweave bandages take two cloth, bracers take 2+ bronze bars, etc. Could the issue be when it has to split a stack of mats? I didn't have a problem crafting anything that took single reagents, smelting mithril for example. Even a stack of one ore would still work, but if it were something that needed two ore like bronze or fel iron, I wonder if it hangs up if it has a stack of 20, and a stack of 1.

I will see if I can game it into reproducing the bug like that.

On an unrelated note, I ran into a gotcha the other night. I couldn't find a way to shift-click a recipe to link it into chat. Bypassing skillet and loading the bliz window worked correctly. It was just awkward :)

what are you trying to do, break things? :P

I thought that was what we were here for? :P

Seriously though, I will look into those lines you mentioned. I haven't tried the cross profession crafting either, interesting thought though. Doesn't it figure though, that it made it though smelting a gross of ore last night without a hitch? I can see where you get frustrated at it ><

Thanks for all the hard work!

While I haven't done extensive testing through all of my trade skills, *knock on wood* it's only happened with mining, so far.

This one bit me today. Was doing first aid, got me on a stack of regular mageweave bandages. :(

Its one of those things that I'm sure there is a pattern to, but I haven't figured out what it is yet. Will try and find a easy to reproduce case.

Alright. I didn't know whether Thundering Strikes is applied to char screen crit or not. I'll remove the custom code for it in the latest version, preventing double stacking.

Attack tooltip should still have windfury visible, but it has undergone code changes as I removed SpecialEvents-Aura. I'll try to see if there's something wrong.

    EDIT:

Windfury should also be fixed in latest.

    Works perfectly, thanks :)

Startup on the latest version is much cleaner; no more odd amounts needing a few rescans to clear. Will edit back when I get some mats to test the skillups and difficulty changes.

EDIT1: Learning new recipes worked perfectly! :D Will check out the updating for skill changes next.

Had a small bug with rep gains/losses.

In the notification area, when loosing rep with a group (syndicate in hillsbrad is good for testing this), there is a repeated negation symbol. That is, it reads out "--100 rep, (syndicate)".

Upon poking at it, I found the error... on line 2800 of data\combatevents.lua, the line is currently
    	defaultTag = "-[Amount] " .. REPUTATION .. " ([Faction])",
    and should be
    	defaultTag = "[Amount] " .. REPUTATION .. " ([Faction])",

New combat log probably gives the negative sign already?

Hope that helps! (and doesn't introduce new bugs ><)
