A northrend rare was encountered finally. Silverdragon took this event in stride. It fired a warning and created a mapnote with cartographer as intended.
I had been worried that the new zones would confuse/freak it out/cause the universe to divide by zero, but it appears that all is well on that front at least.

Dec 4, 2008Everything in wow has a spellID it seems... I don't know of a LIST per se, but what I do in such cases that has worked so far is pull it off wowhead (or similar).Posted in: AddOn HELP!
For example! I see that eradication is a lock talent. I pull up the talent on wowhead (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=47197 ) and take a look. I see that it applies an effect. This is the actual buff you gain when the talent goes off. Pulling THAT up, I see that it is in fact the buff gained. I look at the URL of the page. The end of the URL for the buff is in fact the spellid in the game as well, so you would imput into parrot 47274 under icon, and all should work.
That said, this should probably be in the addon help fourm? *shrug*
Hope that helps!
Nov 26, 2008Well, I finally came across a rarespawn mob, and with the nameplate code modifications, Silverdragon worked as intended. Fired a Parrot note and everything.Posted in: General AddOns
Granted, It lost a little bit of functionality since it can't scan nameplates, but at least it's working again.
(I never even knew that it would scan for nameplates. When I would be looking for rares, I normally have the Nameplates off anyway.)
Nov 26, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from PhanxWoW 3.0 replaced the ShowNameplates and HideNameplates functions with console variables; depending on what SilverDragon used those functions for, it needs to be updated to either change the cvars, or watch for the event that's fired when a cvar is changed.
If my interpretation of the code is correct, it was checking if nameplates were displayed, and if so to enable some additional parsing. With the Nameplates functions disabled, it should fall back on only parsing target and mouseovers.
But I could be mistaken, heh.
Nov 25, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from essmeneas of 3.02 the addon is broken:
[2008/11/24 11:21:44-48-x1]: SilverDragon-2.0.65654\Core.lua:137: AceHook-2.1: Attempt to hook a non-existant function "ShowNameplates"

AceEvent-2.0-91091 (AtlasLootFu):910: in function <...ddOns\AtlasLootFu\Libs\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua:903>
Does somebody know how to fix it - or a possible replacement ?
In core.lua, comment lines 137-139 and 264-266. The mod will load cleanly, including hooking into cartographer2. However, I haven't yet seen a rare mob since modifying the addon, so I cannot verify if it actually works beyond loading.
Can someone who has a free minute scan the code and check to see if something else needs to be adjusted? Total coder newb here ;P
Oct 15, 2008_ForgeUser1195547 posted a message on WoW UI Updater (Win/OSX/Linux, supports multiple sites), 1.6 threadPosted in: UpdatersQuote from lejordet2On 10.4, you might have to install http://wuu.vagabonds.info/files/rel-1.6/WUU-1.6.446.dmg (the last one I built on Tiger), and then letting WUU auto-update to the latest version.
That worked very well, thank you.
Imagine, programs running when properly linked, madness I say :p
Oct 15, 2008_ForgeUser1195547 posted a message on WoW UI Updater (Win/OSX/Linux, supports multiple sites), 1.6 threadIs anyone able to successfully run the WUU on OS X 10.4? I'm having python difficulties. Some posts seemed to indicate that this is expected, but they were not specific.Posted in: Updaters
Just wondering if anyone had has success with this combination.
Oct 15, 2008Posted in: UpdatersQuote from ziyRequires Java 6.
So Mac users who still haven't gotten round to updating to OS 10.5 are out of luck, correct?
I'll be looking later, surely some enterprising programmer has backported Java6 to Tiger, wouldn't you think?
Oct 15, 2008Posted in: UpdatersQuote from MoonWitchPerhaps both of you could post it as ticket for the beta client, where it has a much better chance at being seen by the CC devs :) While the "delete before updating" is merely a feature request, the OSX version is rather big. (If nothing else, this post bumps it more for kolie and other devs to see it.)
As soon as I figure out how to do that... >< On it.
Oct 15, 2008The OS X updater; if its not meant to work on anything less then 10.5, please note this somewhere.Posted in: Updaters
Right now, i'm really scratching my head wondering what to do. JWU just went to java6, and curse apparently requires leopard. What are 10.4 people meant to do?
Sep 26, 2008Addon working well here! Just found some corrections for cooking.Posted in: General AddOns
Blackened Basilisk requires 315, not 310.
Stewed Trout requires 320, not 310. Also, the location is a bit vague. "Trainer: Kylene". Perhaps a note that she is in Shatrath City/World's End Tavern? I don't know if it would fit.
If I come across any more, i'll give a shout.
Sep 7, 2008Hey there.Posted in: General AddOns
Is there a button i'm missing to force an update of what a character knows as far as recipes goes?
I have an enchanting pattern that in the characters enchanting section in altaholic shows up quite plainly, but the tooltip on the unlearned pattern item insists that it hasn't been learned.
Its the Enchant Weapon - Unholy pattern, if it makes a difference.
Sep 5, 2008Odd bug, can't recall if I have reported it or not...Posted in: General AddOns
Anytime an orange difficulty recipe is clicked on in the list, the page of craftables jumps up. Seems like a pgup , or equivalent is being fired somehow. Right clicking brings up a context menu like it should, but left clicking causes the page jump.
The problem is minor, as the correct recipe is still selected, but I thought I should send a report all the same. It certainly isn't anything addon-breaking :)
Keep up the good work!

I just pushed a new build, 81827 which may fix that bug. It adds debugging code in as well which I'll remove tonight once I've got it fixed.
Will check it out when it hits.
Just did the testing, reverting to 81225 solves the issue. Something between there and current, I suppose. Stared at the code... but if I knew where the problem lay, i'd submit patches ><
