Ok, I took some time before replying, as I wanted to let a few cooldowns expire before confirming that my fix is now ok. I changed the way cooldowns are saved, since I used to save the item id of the crafted item, but this does not work with inscription as minor & major share the same id. It's now ok.

Also, the profession scanning function has been fixed, my previous fixes on the beta had fixed everything except this side effect on cooldown tracking. Should be 100% fine now, I've noticed no issues on my version in about a week.

Cool! Now, I've checked curse, wowinterface (both version 3.0.003), and it seems wowace doesnt have an altoholic project... so where do I get the update? I'm eager to go and test it.

I'll try and think of PMing you about the broker addon sometime soon.

    Ah, ok.
If I may make one request: Choose to display "over time" cooldowns as ready instead of not displaying them? If you got a good reset code on scanning the profession...
Would mean removing the if and changing the displaytimer function to ready whenever it is minus.

What I'd need... how to query your db?
And in order to understand why some cooldowns aren't tracked, I've been browsing your code. I found a scanning code in Skills.lua, is there anywhere else that you update cooldowns?

As for some testing I just did. It seems (if I understand the code) that once a tradeskill is opened and a formerly cooldown is gone, that entry is to be removed from the DB? If not that might be an idea. It looks like altoholic didnt catch me doing primal mooncloth every 4 days for the last 37 days or so, and it had some trouble catching the newly done inscription research.

           ["Inscription-44680"] = "71816.529411102|1227694749",

This is guaranteed to be the code for Northrend Inscription Research according to altoholic.

    ["Inscription-44680"] = "71901.873415156|1227694987",

And considering that I did the Minor Research a bit later and it displayed a longer cooldown now, this is probably the code for Minor Inscription Research. I will make sure to get a 100% certain code tomorrow.

I've seen other cooldown trackings being done through "spell succesfully cast" and at end of it, if tradeskill is open, find out if it had a cooldown.

I hope this is some help to you,
    Kha

I could try to help make the LDB display part? Havent really coded much Lua yet but have some general programming experience.

Today, it is tracking the Assorted Writings (Ooooh, minor and major research both have the castname assorted writings! but they have separate cooldowns. Curse bliz?) and the transmute from the alchemy.
Also on another alchemy alt is has gotten the transmute but on the third alchemist (yes I overdo things) it hasnt.
It has also missed the TBC primal mooncloth.
Depending on how you track it, might it be necessary to have the tradewindow open as the spell has finished casting (the one with cooldown)? In that case you probably dont have a scan tradeskill window for cooldowns.

I'll be able to test it for you with alchemists, inscription and primal mooncloth (those I keep doing).

About the LDB display - I do not know what else might be useful to display. It's also perhaps an option to make the LDB display as a separate module/addon, however it's still useful if that display can pull the data from your database, dunno if that is possible?

    Hey, that's very cool.
I also noticed that you got an LDB feed - but it's just for a launcher.

Is it possible to (as option perhaps) make the text of the LDB display the shortest cooldown on tradeskills across all alts? Probably necessary to allow a manual reset of tracked cooldowns in case you arent interesting in using it.

Also, as short note, I got an inscriptor/alchemist, he has three cooldowns atm but altoholic only tracks one - the non-northrend -> minor inscription research. Major inscription Research and the transmute titanium (general transmute cooldown actually) don't seem to get tracked.

Sorry to sound a bit like "it has to be exactly as I want it" but it's the last detail of my UI that I'd like to work.

Any comment on the addition of tradeskill cooldown timer info for alts? I too am looking for this feature...

I've not yet coded Lua but I could try to reuse some code from TradeskillCooldownsFu and Broker_TradeCooldowns to try and add a module to altoholic with your permission? Not sure how long it'll take me ofcourse and whether it's ok to reuse code?

I've got a request to make. Several, actually.
I love how Altoholic basically replaces multiple addons that keep track of stuff on my alts. It just misses one thing to keep track of: trade cooldowns.
I've tried to find a single addon that does that, but CraftTimersFu seems broken, Broker_TradeCooldowns doesnt entirely do what I'd prefer. Lots of other mods might do what I want but they'd duplicate some of Altoholic's functions.

I'd want ONLY those cooldowns tracked that I am actively using - probably by monitoring casts. I'd want the option to remove a cooldown from the track. And I'd like an LDB feed that shows the skill with the lowest cooldown, eg Ulath - Transmute - Ready.

Please, could you add this to your ToDo list?
    Mucho thanks,

posted a message on Coconuts: Mount handling !Official Thread
Just started using Coconuts, got my version from Curse.
What I'm noticing, on my hunter, is that normal click = 100% speed ground mount.
Shift-click out of combat = aspect.
But I do have several 60% mounts learned, it seems it's skipping over that. I find that a pity.

(Can anyone notice that I got an account recently? :P)

I've been reconfiguring spellreminder - partially because of that updating thingie.

Two minor things to report atm.
    - Using Rock? (that screw icon thingie that gathers the config windows for a lot of addons), the profile part of the menu often does not show. Instead I have to use the slash command (which works).
    - With anchors visible, the stack of bars starts at a slightly higher level than with them off. This is probably partially due to them growing upwards.

About your idea of grouping the spells: The big advantage I see is that it is immediately clear what is which category for the filters, so I'd go for your way.

    Keep it up! ;)

    Two points to make today.

For anyone who froze spellreminder when it went all buggy for a while - since unfreezing I have a problem with my bars showing and I just found the fix. SR needs to re-detect those spells, at the least enabling detection suddenly made bars show if I casted the right spells while before they wouldnt.

This might be a bug: At the moment I am unable to make new bar groups. I can do the stuff in the config but the anchor does not appear, nor do spells go to that group (or nowhere) when filtered to it - they go to the old group. (and this is running the very latest updated version)

I asked before and I would really like to have this small part of the functionality restored...
    Can Shift-Ctrl-Alt-Mouseclick be made possible?

Cheers! And yes, that is what I meant about Cold Snap.

About extra options: I dunno if it is relatively easy to make an extra tab and whether you can put "options" in a tab that's decided by variables.
In the perfect world you could put all the "unnecessary" per spell options in a separate tab, decided perhaps by whether someone actually changed the global option (changed - separate tab, not changed - main tab). But that's how I'd envision it.

    Looking forward to the future,

    Something else entirely.
I'm using SR for all my alts (every class) and last night I was on my frosty mage enjoying the pounding of several elites. On one of these fights, I popped Water Elemental and Icy Veins fairly soon to increase dps - and the right cooldown bars were created.
After the WE disappeared, I popped Cold Snap, WE and IV again.
    Result, five bars.

I do not know if it's possible without hardcoding what to look for, but it might be an idea to do a doublecheck whenever Cold Snap and similar stuff is activated and remove all non-applicable bars.

On a slightly related note, I'd like to see more configuration options at the detail level, without removing the global options.
Eg., you can set bar scale for each group. But if you could also choose to set it per spell, where it overrides the group setting... that'd be very useful.
I do not know if it's even possible for bar scale (etc) but anything of this type you can add would be wonderful. Thinking of essentially all display options, whether a spell should throw a sound warning, throw a text warning (and when), whether a spell should emphasize, whether this spell's cooldown should be tracked and so on and so forth. And I know this is a lot to ask.

The most important of these (for me) is to set both warning types per spell - I currently have them all off because I'm not interested in most spells but I do miss my buffs running out etc.

    Terrific work, keep it up,

    posted a message on Recount
I have the strangest of problems... I play WoW at two different physical locations (and computers) and at one, it works perfectly.
At the other, it spams me with errors (in the nature of blabla.width being null).
I've also heard several of my guildies complain that it broke down completely for them.

I don't have the exact errors around, but the behaviour from a fresh install is as follows: The config window (the gear) does not open, you cannot drag the window with test bars. The Ace3 configuration part does work, as does removing the window by clicking on Recount_Fu. When on at a certain point of time I get that nice message "an addon is causing loads of LUA errors".

I'd have to wait till Friday to get my hands on some true errors if that's needed?

I don't really mind where the configuration screen can be found...

But I miss the option to use three different modifiers for a mouse click. I used that before.
    Can it be added?

    Thanks,
