Aug 14, 2006The thing that makes Sairen's style so different is primarily the colors. It's easy to make changes to the layout and position of the elements right now, but there's no easy way to make color themes.. Even for MG2, Sairen actually directly went in and edited the core files. So what you really need is color themes that work sorta like the layout stuff does now.Posted in: Unit Frames
Aug 13, 2006_ForgeUser1194891 posted a message on Bartender2, ActionBar AddOn for Blizzards default buttonsLooking forward to using Bartender2 once it gets a little further along! Was wondering about a few things:Posted in: General AddOns
Is there going to be selfcast keys and/or an auto selfcast option?
A quick move key so you can move the buttons easily even while they're locked?
Option to hide macro and/or keybinding text? (I hate the macro text, personally...)
Option to reduce the bags to just a single bag? (For those of us who use OneBag or Bagnon, but still like having a bag icon somewhere...)
I'm assuming that since there's going to be modules, it should be possible for me to make a module in the future if I want buttons that look like, say, these:
Which is trimmed icons and a custom colored border... That a realistic assumption?
Anywho, as I said, looking forward to this!
Aug 13, 2006Another sample layout:Posted in: General AddOns
Aug 12, 2006Okay, so I'm one of the minority who has a square minimap... I like it, it's big and pretty...Posted in: FuBar AddOns
Trouble is that all these addons that use FuBarPlugin-2.0 to provide a menu are placing buttons on my poor minimap as if it's still round. Even worse, since the recent strata change, the buttons have actually all disappeared underneath my minimap.
So... Am I missing some obvious solution? I poked around, but there doesn't seem to be any way of detaching the buttons from the minimap or any other simple way of handling these buttons.
Of course, I could just install FuBar, even if I just use it as a glorified menu for my addons, but I've been resisting this because FuBar seems to mess with the positioning of various elements, even when all those functions are turned off. (I actually had to remove the original Ace version of FuBar a few weeks ago because everytime I tried to scale the minimap, I got a BSOD infinite loop error from my graphics card. I disabled all addons except FuBar, scaled the minimap and it would crash 100% of the time. Probably a quirk of my hardware/drivers, but there ya go.)
Would it be possible for FuBar to be changed so all the code that moves and restores the position of UI elements is put into its own lua file and organized so someone who is using a heavily customized UI could just delete the file if they didn't want FuBar to mess with anything? Would this even be necessary in FuBar 2.0?
Or, possibly even simpler, would it be possible to get a FuBarPlugin-2.0 that allows the buttons to either be anchored to the circle, as they are now, or freely anchored to the minimap (allowing them to be dragged around to any position you want.)
Or, and this option seems entirely possible, am I just going insane and totally missing an obvious and simple solution?
Aug 11, 2006Totally agree Vill... That's just about perfect. If it looked like that, I'd definitely be switching for both my healers and damage dealers!!Posted in: General AddOns
Aug 10, 2006How about this as a slightly modified version?Posted in: General AddOns
The numbers are the unit's current health deficit...
So Druid1 is missing 1200 health and is getting a heal. Druid2 has aggro and is only missing 100 health. Druid3 also has aggro, is getting healed, and is missing 3700 health. Druid4 is dead. You can tell by the color of the name/number the general percentage of health that's been lost, the number itself gives you a decent idea what rank of heal to use, and it has the same lovely aggro/healing blips.
Aug 9, 2006I've thrown together an idUnitFrames style layout for ag_UF, so far it looks as follows:Posted in: Unit Frames
But I had to add some code into ag_UnitClass.lua to get a WidthAdd option in the layouts. In the apply themes section, I added:
if value.WidthAdd then width = width + value.WidthAdd end
And this works fine, except that the aura icon size seems to be calculated by the width of the unitframe... Which means if you use WidthAdd to increase the width of the unitframe (like, say, when enabling the mana bar), the buffs stay small. Conversely, when you disable the mana bar, the unitframe shrinks in width, but the buffs stay large. You end up having to do a reloadui in order to get them to re-size properly. Any possibility of getting an official and properly working WidthAdd theme command?
I'd like to provide the idUF layout to help increase the number of available themes, but it doesn't make much sense to do that if I'm relying on a custom hack to make it work right.
(I'd also love to see a theme command for setting the width of an object to a percentage of the unitframe itself... So the XP bar could be 100% width and would be wider if the mana bar was enabled, thinner if it wasn't.)
Aug 6, 2006Well, recently tested in a raid against the four elemental packs in MC. Got choppy framerate while I was targetting any of the mobs (the only agUF frames being used were the player, target, and targetoftarget, I had the raid frames set to hide.) Funny thing was, if I unselected my target and just had no target, the choppiness went away. If I then selected one of the mobs again, the choppiness would come back.Posted in: Unit Frames
I also have MobHealth3 going... So I figure it's probably either MH3 or agUF, since they're the only thing involved with the target and targetoftarget frames.
Also, this problem only seemed to be an issue for those four packs and it actually wasn't as bad on the first few we fought. It wasn't until we started clearing them later on that the choppiness became very pronounced.
Hope this wasn't too vague to help!
Edit: Also, I have the combat text display turned off.
Aug 5, 2006I just used the latest checkout in a world dragon raid... Worked like an absolute charm, save once it spit out some stuff about the number of people in the raid not matching the roster or something along those lines. (Was kind of hard to catch.)Posted in: General AddOns
