    Quote from Lindalas »

I've only used MM for one heroic SL and I didn't do any setup... just moused over in order of importance. It did seem to me that there might be a great way of marking that may or may not be supported. Does MM "remark" as I mouse over? Lets just say I have a two pull with tank and off-tank and I mouse over them in the wrong order (start with the off-tank target). I assume MM will mark the first one with Skull. Now, when I mouse over the second target (that should have the skull since it is higher priority), will MM switch the old one to X (or whatever the second tank target is)? It would be great if it did that, either automatically, or if you could just have one key to "reassign all marked targets" at the end of marking the pull.

It does that automatically. Wave your mouse (in any order) over a pack of mobs a few times and it will change marks accordingly. One swipe is usually not enough...in BT I usually have to do 3 swipes (back-forth-back) to get all mobs done properly.

    Nice addon

Any chance of getting each bar to show the name of the spell used, instead of just the spell icon?

    Something like

    Charname - spellname - time

Used this addon pre-2.4 and post 2.4....in both cases I came across a major problem : it locks out the Blizzard raid UI when in combat.

As raid leader, I am make party changes during combat (swapping SP's, shammy's, etc)...but this addon totally blanks out the default Blizzard raid UI (which is the only way to change groups when in combat). Out of combat it works fine.

    All looks good to me.

Reason why some ppl cant see the addon is indeed because its off-screen. With patch 2.2, Blizz changed the default UI size to 0.9. This means that if you didnt enable UI sclaing in video options, your UI would now look 10% bigger than before, and some stuff would get pushed off the screen.

To fix this, enable UI scaling, change it to 0.9 and then /reloadui

    (Same mob name)
This is a known problem (and you'll notice addons like Omen, et al have the same issue). It's one of the things the UnitDebuff sanity check that I'm planning is aimed to relieve a little. Blame Blizzard - currently they give no way of differentiating mobs by anything other than name, level and sex. I believe that patch 2.4 is slated to bring unique mob identifiers, which will make issues like this a thing of the past.

Yup, thats right. About damn time that Blizz brought unique mob identifiers into the game.

Had an opportunity to try it out in a raid for the first time last night, and for the most part it worked damn well.

There was one other fire mage (with scorch talent) in the raid, who did not have the mod installed, but I received their scorch updates without fail.

The only slight problem I got was when we were fighting multiple mobs with the same name. If for example, we were both scorching mob A, and halfway through I switched to Mob B, then my scorch stack would still show 5, even though Mob B was somewhere between 0-5 scorches.

There was a lot going on, and I didnt get a chance to check if this happened every time; it may have been just a once off.

Another thought... With the blacklist options, you aren't misreading and UNchecking casters who's you don't want to blacklist, are you? This would explain why you're only seeing your own scorches (although I guess if you were doing that, and unchecked yourself too, you'd blacklist yourself and see nothing).

The terminology is confusing. I may change it at a later day. Checking a player in the blacklist means you see their syncs, unchecking them means they're blacklisted, so you don't.

Aha, that explains another portion then :)

If something is ticked on the blacklist, I thought that meant it was blacklisted ;) Yup, terminology is confusing and probably needs to be changed to something else. Maybe call it allowed list or white list or something like that.

Also a bit strange that the default was that I was blacklisted myself.

I have been trying another mod out, that I found on the elitist jerks forum.

The mod can be found here: http://mist.tcc.googlepages.com/Scorch.tar.gz

Unfortuantely, I cant find the original post on EJ, where the author gives permission for anyone to d/l it)

That was me. :P Though you probably got it from these forums, I read EJ forums regularly but I don't remember to ever have posted there.

Feel free to use anything you want, but in my opinion is better to write from scratch because, code quality aside, it was coded before the API improvements in WoW 2.0 and updated once after that.

Whoops - no wonder I couldnt find the damn post on the EJ site! :)

Anyway, I am glad that you found your way to us; thanks for the repy.

I stand corrected, the scorch stack is there....

...but the reason I didnt see it is because I have reduced the width of my bars and the name of the mob was particularly long.

As such, I would suggest that you change the order from

[debuff time remaining] [mob name] [stack]

    to

[debuff time remaning] [stack] [mob name]

That way, it doesnt matter how short the bars are and how long the mob name is, you will always see the stack.

    Oh yeah, one other thing.

Anyway, you will see some pretty cool features in this mod, two of which may be worthwhile incorporating:

    1. The ability to see when anyone else in the raid is casting a scorch (i.e. it shows their casting bar when they are casting scorch)

    2. The candybar with the scorch debuff and timer actually shows how many scorch debuffs are up (i.e. between 1-5). I couldnt see this on your mod.

    Keep up the good work!

Nope, not working for me either.

Tried all the stuff above, nothing.

Tried in a party too. Nothing.

Only thing I havent tried is with another fire mage.

Great idea though, hope you can fix the non-appearance.

Edit - something a bit buggered. I blacklisted myself, and now it works fine :)
    Go figure.

posted a message on WowAceUpdater - An update tool for Windows users.
Got the same problems as others:
WowAceUpdater opens up on the task bar, and thats it. I cant see any windows, or do anything other than right click on the task bar "close" or ctrl+alt+delete and end process.

I have tried 1.9.2 and 1.9.3, both with the same result. Also tried 1.8.47 with the same result....

If I use an older version (like 1.8.47), then I get a popop message saying that a newer version is available, but its still stuck on the taskbar.

Cant remember which is the last version that worked for me.

Edit - tried 1.9.3 again, and extrated to a completely different folder, and it works fine. Go figure.
