    BigWigs has been giving me the following error:
    LibDBIcon-1.0\LibDBIcon-1.0.lua:39: LibDBIcon-1.0 requires LibDataBroker-1.1.
    That library is indeed included with the addon, so it should be able to find it. I found that in order to fix my problem, I had to edit the addon's BigWigs.toc file to explicitly tell it to load that library first.

    You cannot configure the standard range check plugin.

    A friend and I have heavily modified that plugin to include configuration via Blizzards built-in AddOn setup tab (accessed via the Interface options). I've attached it to this post if you're interested in using it. Keep in mind it is not compatible with the other plugin and you must disable or remove it.

    *adds another hammer to his toolbox*

    Sometimes the largest challenge is finding the right tool to use from the toolbox. I know I have a lot to learn, so ty for pointing it out. I got to learn quite a few things while swinging my simple sledgehammer around trying to implement this feature to see if it was even worth mentioning. :)

    LOL, I had just done a compare to see how it was done before I read your post =P

    I was originally going to change the font size of the shadow so that it would have a black border surrounding the text rather than merely a shadow. I gave up on it after reading about how each font/size combination eats up memory (not to mention tricky to line up right) and instead settled for just an offset to create the shadowed effect. I'm happy to see that such an effect is a standard feature set and not something as complicated as I made it out to be. =)

    Heya,

    I was wondering if we could get a text shadow put in for the warning messages on the screen to improve readability against an arbitrarily colored background (similar to what SCT does).

    I tried my hand at modifying BigWigs to include this feature and I'm happy with the results so far. You are more than welcome to use any of the changes I made in order to incorporate this feature if you are interested.

    I've attached a zip file containing the BigWigs\Plugin\Messages.lua file I modified in addition to the original file (revision 92607) so you can easily compare and see what was changed. The 3 changes were the addition of a local var, creating a near duplicate text frame behind the original one, and output to the new frame just before the normal one.

    posted a message on Translation "Enabled" does not exist.
    For those getting this error with their Cartographer, it's really an error in the following 3 sub-addons: Cartographer_Cleanup, Cartographer_Icons, and Cartographer_Stats.

    Change the following two lines from

    name = AceLibrary("AceLocale-2.2"):new("Cartographer")["Enabled"],
    desc = AceLibrary("AceLocale-2.2"):new("Cartographer")["Suspend/resume this module."],

    to

    name = Cartographer.L["Enabled"],
    desc = Cartographer.L["Suspend/resume this module."],

    in their main lua files (Cleanup.lua about line 90, addon.lua about line 70, and Cartographer_Stats.lua about line 274, respectively) and the error should go away.

    EDIT: I don't use all the Cartographer addons, so there may be others affected I'm not aware of.

    Although I do not see Sanity2 anywhere on the main site, it is in the files area. http://www.wowace.com/files/Sanity2/

    I just wanted to let someone know that I modified this AddOn so that it can be run at the same time as vBagon Addon (it wouldn't keep track of bank items with vBagon loaded).

    I also modified it so that the cache contains a lot more item information so that our guild website can parse the resulting file for use as a Guild Bank. These modifications neither help nor hurt Sanity2 as a WoW Addon, it just means a bit more memory used and larger cache file.
