I was not complaining...."or maybe I just do not understand how it works.". I am just trying to figure out how to use this tool better. When one is use to seeing things one way and then something does it entirely differently it can be a little hard to picture the thought process and advantages of those changes.

I certainly agree that there are toooooooo many things vying for my screen space. I had noted that even when the bars are visible ZOMG has a nice small foot print. So the idea is one moves the cursor over the button to see what buffs are up? Or maybe as I am using it now a sound goes off & I just click the button until all the due buffs are back up. I guess that moving the cursor to the button when the "alarm" sounds does provide the full information. As I understand it now, the bright bars are more visible so I know what needs to be refreshed. I guess I have been running to the button and clicking it so fast that I have not seen the bars up long enough to actually see what information is there.

I love this Interface enhancer but there are a few things I can not figure out, or maybe I just do not understand how it works.

    1) The bars that have my timers only show up when I move my cursor over them. Is there some way to make them display all the time. I can not seem to figure it out. All I get is the basic button until I move my cursor over the button.

    2) The type on the bars is quite dark and I have trouble reading it. Is there a way to change the type color to something that shows up better?

If I could just figure those two things out I would be a happy camper.

It is probably just me or the other addons I am using but I can not seem to figure out how to get this addon working. Is there some sort of use instructions somewhere. I get a configuration screen but I can not seem to get it to do anything. I am not getting a bar anywhere that I see, do I need to drop some Blessings in first? Last time I brought it up I had wisdom blessings everywhere and could not figure out how to load anything else. I still had no bar.

Thanks for any guidance anyone may have to offer.

posted a message on AutoBar by Toadkiller (official thread)
If I am reading the end of this post correctly. AutoBar has not seen an update for a while but still seems to work with on single bar of one row of buttons? I am returning to the game after a long lay off and attempting to get a good functional UI for my stable of old & new characters. I have been trying to get multiple columns of buttons working. I also set up some "Catagories" which I have not been able to get to work. At first glance I thought I could set up multiple bars with this addon but I think it is more a single bar?

I have a young Pally who is my favorite character at the moment, lv 22. I have been trying to get AutoBar and ElkBuffbars both working. I am also about to give PallyPower another try. Anyone have any idea about synergy between these addons?

posted a message on ElkBuffBars v2 (finally Ace3 version)
I just loaded ElkBuffBars using WowMatrix ( on my Mac) yesterday and like it a great deal. I suspect that I have the old version though. If I download the Ace version from here and manually trash the old version, replacing it with the new one, does anyone know if I anyone has experienced a problem with saved files from the old version?

Does anyone know if there are any conflicts between this and PallyPower, AutoBar or any of the timer addons like OmniCC, NECB or ClassTimers? I have returned to the game after a long lay off and trying to build a good set of addons for my stable of old & new characters.

I have a young Pally that I am enjoying very much, lv22 and I believe I will need help keeping up with Blessings, Auras and all the other buffs out there.

posted a message on Cartographer_stats error
    On my Mac I get:
Interface\addons\Cartographer-Cleanup\Cleanup.lua:89:Can not find a library instance of Babble-Zone-2.2.

I believe I was getting a similar error at start up without Cleanup. I dumped my entire UI, removed all addons, deleted all my character and realm level saved variables. I started from scratch with all new addons and still got this error at start up. No I did not do all this just to try to fix Cartographer. I just started playing the game again a few weeks ago and had been trying a great many addons & wanted a fresh start.

Great Map program! Do you offer a new user tutoring program, hehe.

I think I will give LS a rest and spend a little time configuring AutoBar. I am not getting much from LS at the moment, like you say I think the main thing that would help would be the HOT buttons for some potions, scrolls etc.. I like the round scheme but I can not seem to figure out how to get good use from it.

I am liking MetaHUD a great deal. I am kinda like you, I do not need all the info. it provides. I do not have time to read the stats and plan to see if I can disable them. The bars I like though, I am using the Lizard texture which I think makes the bars easier to read. The bars may not be as sexy as the ArchHUD ones but they seem to me to be much more functional. I changed a color or two and set one side to be all my character and the other to be my opponent. My brain was having trouble with both health bars next to each other although I may ultimately end up with that set up once I figure out a color scheme that clears up the function of each bar at a glance. I will see if I can find IceHUD here too.

Interesting I thought that the auto clicking buttons thing with Decursive got the nurf stick. My Priest use to use it a great deal along with click heal buttons. Guess I will have to check it out. I have one or more addons giving or offering buff/debuff help/information. It gets hard to figure out what is doing what after a while. Decursive, if it works like it use to, should handle all my priests needs. I guess my Shaman's totems and my Pally's auras... might be another story.

The problem I had with Autobar was the one you seem to have with LunarSphere. It seemed to big and I could not figure out how to change its shape and scale it down. Maybe I need to give it another look.

I used MetaHUD for a good while last night an liked it better than ArcHUD too. The ArcHUD bars got very thin and hard to read at the bottom making me constantly double check it against the bars on the Unit frames when things got dicy. Seemed to defeat the whole purpose of the HUD, but I liked most of it. There may be a way to thicken the bars up that I just did not try. MetaHud has a very convenient, complete gui. Never ran across IceHUD in my searches. I will do a search later and see if I can find it.

    Hi again Pusikas,

I have run the path with Action Bars. Use to use Discord Action Bars way back when. Switched to Bongos when many of the others were lost due to the Blizzard changes. Tried Bartender, Trinity Bars and several others. I am more and more about ease of use and I find Bongos to be very easy to use.

Along the lines of what I believe Autobar does, I have been playing with the Sphere family of round mega functional buttons. Since Spheres seems to be dead on the vine here at Ace I picked up what some people here have switched to LunarSphere (Beta). I am playing with it now trying to figure out how to use it. It seems like a very powerful way to dare I say "automate", ohhhhh no here comes the Blizzard nurf stick....! If I understand the direction of LunarSphere it may replace all/most of my Bongos buttons and give me the functionality of autobar in a single addon. Maybe I am just tired of squares and rectangles and up for something round.

I use to have a HUD that I made myself using several of the old Discord offerings and I have been experimenting with a few of the current customizable (gui) HUDs out there. Started with a older version of Drathals work then found ArcHUD and Meta Hud.

I think I am getting there, my screen is starting to feel homey.

Thanks for that input. I am all over Visual Heal. I even like the name.

Back in my earlier life I used a click heal program I think it was called "Click to Heal" which I think was lost in the big interface revisions before BC. Very small compact UI's that I found very easy to use. This go round I downloaded a ton of things to try and I am slowly getting rid of everything I do not think I have to have. I have been very happy with Bongos, does auto bar replace it? I downloaded Auto Bar and looked at it but could not figure out how/if I could group my buttons in a shape other than the long straight line it came in?

I should say that I use a Nostromo n52 key pad, 3 rows, 5/5/4 buttons. I tried using the regular key board when I started back playing but it was severely cramping my style. I typically arrange my buttons in groups of 12- 5/5/2 to match the Nostromo. The two extra buttons are jump and toggle world map. The main 12 switch to 24 more hot keys using a shift combo and a ctrl combo, giving me 36 hot keys, more than I seem to be able to remember.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I am going to check them out now.

Well I took a long rest from WOW, just revived my old account (post Burning Crusade). I have a 60 priest that I just started getting ready. I am trying out a great many user addons. I like the Ace offerings and I have been trying to use them as much as possible. It seems to me that there is cross over in some of the addons that is not always clear from descriptions. I actually quit when Blizzard made major changes to the UI just before BC came out, destroying hours and hours and hours I spent learning and setting up Discord and other UI tools. I am hoping to find a simpler way to set up and maintain UI's for my diverse list of characters. I hope Ace is going to be my major tool.

I am happy with Bongos for my bars. I have been trying out Pit Bull and the ag_UnitFrames. I have a healer addon HealBot that I like, but it is non Ace and I am not sure if it is designed such that it will work with the Ace Unit frames? I worked with PitBull for a good while but it just seems to be a little hard for me to figure out. ag-UnitFrame looks like it might provide simple player and target frames and maybe some compact raid frames. So far it looks like HealBot is great for healing a party but not a complete raid tool? Is there a better/equal (to HealBot) Ace solution to healing? I have not done a great deal of raiding and may not but I would like to be prepared.

I searched here and the Ace addons. I am playing around withAutoBar, BunchofBars, ClicktoCast, Darkness, Mend Watch, Sacred Buff, auf_Banzai...I just might benefit from a guiding hand in wading through all of these offerings. Characters I have: Pumpt 60 Dwarf Priest, Naturum 51 NightElf Druid, Poof 43 Gnome Mage, Steelthy 38 Dwarf Rogue and Shamonu a new lv 28 Draenei Shaman.
