Haha, well like the first screen says its only a rough draft. My plan is to have the action bars on the left and right sides go invisible once setup and remain that way unless I need to adjust it. Those abilities with a long CD, e.g. my trinket macros and IB, will go on a much smaller bar probably directly below my own unit frame. The chat box I intend to move to the top left of the screen since when its all said and done I won't have anything else up in that corner. The rough draft blocks are much bigger than what they will be when my UI is done. I wasn't trying to be artistically accurate when making the rough draft as my goal had been simply to make a screenshot with a basic layout of what I had in mind. I have so much on my bars cause I have nothing else to put there lol. I really don't like opening up panels to get access to professions and the like if I can avoid it. You may not think a mage has a huge range of abilities to use but you would be surprised. I use many of the abilities on those action bars quite often pending on the situation. The only ability that could possibly come off is Mana Shield as it is a terrible ability, but I'd rather have it up there and not need it than need it and it not be there.

As to the pitbull party frames, thats a bummer if I can't truly break each one down into seperate people. I guess I'll just have to follow your suggestion and have it occupy my Grids location in the middle when I am not in a raid or I am in a 5 man raid aka 5s arena. Btw, that brings up another question. Is it possible to configure pitbull to show my party frames when I am in party and 5 man raid but vanish when I am in 6 man or larger raid?

I think this is the right place this goes. I have decided to make myself a UI. I have been using the default Blizz UI scaled down and with a few enhancements for ages and I am tired of it.

The first step to actually building my UI after backing up my WTF and Addons folders was open WoW with a blank WTF folder and a blank Addons folder and let the game generate new ones. I then setup the default in game settings like video, sound, key bindings, and default UI options to pretty much what I had before. I then exited the game and installed Pitbull 3.0 to the Addons folder and reloaded entered the game on my main.

All was going alright until I decided to start working on my party frames. I am looking for a way to break apart each person in the party frame so I can move them seperatly. This is sorta what I have in mind for my UI:

I want my UF in the middle above Grid/Omen/Recount area and then break down my party with 2 on one side and 2 on the other scalled down small.

Here is another screenshot of the UI I am changing from but with out the rough draft overlay of what I want to do to it:

I didn't say the addon itself had any executable files in it. I am expressing concern that possibly someone may have gotten to WoW Ace and may be using ya'll to spread said trojans around. Also if you click my link and scroll to the top, in the last part of Deadlights post he mentions that he gets all his mods from wowace.com. He never said he got them from UICentral (I know of the crap they did) or any other mod site.

A friend of mine, Deadlight, on my old server, Dentarg, was doing a virus scan with McAfee and found 3 files came up marked as viruses in his xperl folder. He said he got all his mods from here at WoWAce. He was contacted shortly later that he was being hacked and was able to log in with his wife's account and watch helplessly as hackers cleaned out his toon, the guild bank (guild is 7/9 BT and he was Co-GM), and transfered his druid off the server. He was able to do password recovery and lock out the hacker, but not before the damage was done. I wanted to post this here to let the modding community here know that someone(s) may have managed to figure out a way to compromise the downloads from WoW Ace and would like to make sure the community can take appropriate action to safegaurd the mods that can be found here. I am requesting my friend post what files McAfee tagged specifically to help.

Edit: here is the thread from the Dentarg server forums where Deadlight posted the news of the hack:

    posted a message on Omen2
Made a post a few days ago about what issues I had seen and tried to summarize what others were saying. Wanted to follow up and say its going alot better now. By and large people are no longer DCing while running Omen2. Also noticed Omen is now properly tracking the agro dumps on Zul'jin. Unfortunatly Omen2 doesn't seem to be always tracking peoples threat that well. Many times during Zul'jin we had people pull during the fight, who according to Omen, were not even close to passing the tank on agro. The auto collapse feature also still isn't working as it will often stay extended but blank once my target dies.

After reading the above poster, or in some cases trying to decipher what some people belive is english, and after my guilds own disasterous experience with Omen2 in Hyjal last night I feel these are the top problems.

1: AOE mode and Healer mode are crashing and/or lagging people significantly. I myself had my computer come to a near halt when I went to AOE mode (I play a mage and as such was looking foward to that feature.)

2: Even in single target mode people were still crashing. We wiped once on Anetheron when Omen2 kicked 70% of our ranged DPS offline middle of DPSing an infernal. At that point the raid leader ordered everyone to log out and disable Omen2. Rest of the night went fine with no more crashes or people lagging up beyond the norm.

3: Not so much of a glitch, the lack of your own agro being singled out as a red bar did make tracking ones own threat more difficult.

4: When I enabled the auto collapse so it would shrink to occupy less space between fights and/or targets, it very often would go back to its default size and "hang up" until a new target was selected for it to track.

5: Lack of a FuBar hook or a minimap icon for convient access to both the addon and its config menus. At this time I keep having to use slash commands to access Omen. Edit: After updating to Fubar 3.0 and associated updates, the hook is working again. Fubar just wasn't updated at the time I got the new Omen.

6: Not so much an issue at the moment in my opinion, but has seen concern expressed by the above posters, the cosmetic appearence of the new Omen and the options to adjust and change it leave something to be desired.I'd say this has been fixed.

Don't know if this helps put a priority on issues with Omen at the moment or not. Patch day is always hell day on addons and their programmers. I did my best to try and list the issues affecting the new Omen starting with top priority and working my way down. :P

This is an update on my original post. We (my guild) downloaded the newer version of Omen2 for our raid last night. Single target threat now works great and everyone was most pleased with the greater functionality working in the cosmetic options. I didn't play around nor test the AOE section as I didn't want to risk getting DC'd or my machine suddenly lagging up again. The auto-collapse feature still isn't working. Sometimes it collapses it down to a space saving one line, but most of the time it doesn't. I also ran Magisters Terrace and Zul'Aman last night as well. Saw no issues with Omen in MT and ZA went fine until we got to Zul'Jin. Omen2 is not seeing the agro reset every 20% when he changes phases. Just as we got the boss I had an error log pop up with threatlib 2.0.

    Summary:

1: Auto collapse still not functional.

2: Omen2 not seeing the agro reset on Zul'Jin every 20%.
