Jan 17, 2008It doesn't seem to be working? I set my stack threshhold to 8, and loot 15 items, and all 15 items get displayed. Am I doing something wrong, or is this indeed a bug? Any help would be appreciated!Posted in: General AddOns
Jan 9, 2008Yeah I know about the RegisterAllEvents, I was just being lazy and looking for something already made :-)Posted in: Lua Code Discussion
As for Kyubi, I downloaded it before I even made this post and tried it out, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make the damned thing work. I opened the LUA and found out the slash command, typing it though yielded the invalid command error, so i realized it was a Load On Demand addon... How do I load a LoD addon? I tried /ace list, and it's there, and says its (LOD), but it doesn't have (disabled), so I was really confused!
Where can I get the most recent version? The one I had was from WAU, and was like 5 months old I think?
Jan 9, 2008What mod, if any, will simply track all events that get called for me... and perhaps said event's args? I'm creating an addon and I need to watch for a certain event, but I don't know what event is actually being fired in response to certain actions I make. Surely there's a mod out there that does this? I tried Expo, but it seems like I'll need to know the event name ahead of time in order to track it via Expo.Posted in: Lua Code Discussion
Thanks in advance!
Jan 6, 2008In most language's regular expressions I can do:Posted in: Lua Code Discussion
"Whatever (?:hits|crits) Whatever"
to match either:
Whatever hits Whatever
Whatever crits Whatever
and NOT actually capture the "hits" or "crits", due to the ?: telling the group to be a non-capture group... but for some reason I can't figure out how to do this in LUA.
edit: Oh I realize I can do:
Whatever [hcr]+its Whatever
But that seems like a really half-assed way of doing it :P
Dec 12, 2007I want my health bars to not fade to red while the target dies... for some reason even though I have the bar set to "Color by Class" it still colors by life.Posted in: Unit Frames
How do I disable whatever feature is making my bars change color as the life drops?
Nov 30, 2007Is there a mod that anyone knows of that will show a timer for Sap even without the sapped mob being my target? I realize ClassTimer, Quartz, etc will work but all of those mods only show the timer if the sapped mob is my current Target.Posted in: General AddOns
Nov 26, 2007My BoP macro looks like this:Posted in: Unit Frames
#showtooltip Blessing of Protection /cast [target=mouseover, exists] Blessing of Protection; [target=target] Blessing of Protection
I can mouseover an actual player on the screen and it works fine, but I cannot use it by mousing over a player's respective unit frame.. it simply does nothing, no UI error or anything. Any ideas why? I use the same macro for my heals, and they all work fine.

Do you not have the Health deficit turned on?
Grid -> Frame -> Center Text (or Center Text 2) -> Select Health deficit
This is an example with the Health threshold set to 100 and with the Health deficit set to Center Text 2:
I understand exactly what you mean and I'm aware that I can set the deficit to 99 or 100 and it will show me the amount of lost health all of the time. However, what I'd like to be able to do in a future update of this addon is set the number to ONLY show if the player in question has lost enough health to equal the average amount of my heal. This way, as soon as I see a number pop up on grid I can immediately heal that person and know that I'm not wasting any mana, or very little mana at least. I'm simply requesting the option to use absolute values instead of percentages.
Thanks in advance!

Quote from Malaphus »Could I request an absolute value feature be added? I like people to be topped off in a raid, but often I consider 85% of a warrior much different than 85% of a mage.
This already exists, basically.
Grid -> Status -> Health -> Health deficit -> Health threshold -> Set the thresold to something like 99 or 100.
Now, as soon as someone takes even a small amount of damage you'll see the amount missing.
Right but see, If my heal hits for an average of 1200, I'd want to know when someone has lost only 1200 hp. I can't do this however because 99% to a warrior is much different than 99% to a mage. Know what I mean?

is there a possibility (code changing is also ok) to set a value for minimum health deficit text, e.g. if a raidmember has a health deficit of more than 1.5k, grid will start showing the text
You can set the threshold based on health % but not absolute values.
