New version just added externals (libs) to every addon even though default is No Externals...is having !!!Standalonelibraries causing a conflict?
Edit: Ok got rid of !!!Standalonelibraries and am using recommended settings from http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceUpdater and it's still grabbing libs for every addon even though default is No Externals.
Got the latest version off svn.wowace.com/files, and ice block / cold snap aren't firing. Sprocket animation goes off but the spell itself doesn't fire. I also have macro issues, the below macro gives a "unexpected characters after /" error (the macro works fine elsewhere, it's for the mod quanjure).
Load time and hard disk space ;). And yes, some of us play on systems with strained hard disk space, laptops especially. Every little bit less helps :). I just run a del /s Libs on my addons directory after I'm done updating addons, after that I dump !!!Libraries and I'm off. Not too hard, and worth the extra effort, if only for less of my life spent starting at status bars ;) (initial load).
Fantastic, can't wait for it to mature. Mandatory early release feature request post: an option to remove the button borders like in Bartender2, please :).
This arguement is really sidetracking the thread, but saying learn2play is pretty ignorant. Knowing exactly how fine you can ride the edge between safe and aggro is a very valuable tool, and allows players (pro and otherwise) to push their dps to the limit, which benefits the entire raid and allows for quicker progress through encounters.
Should it be Ace'd? There's a few places it might benefit. Will it? Not unless the authors do, it's simply too complex and under constant revision to be able to clone it accurately by a 3rd party.
I know this has been discussed in the past, but with the new RDX thread in the dev section, I have to ask:
Any plans to seperate aguf into ag_UnitFrames and ag_RaidFrames? The two are conceptually different, and there are benefits to having them as stand alones.
ag_UnitFrames has a few presets and probably the best bet is to make suggestions (and better yet contribute code) to that addon or to another raid frame addon of your choice. RDX is nice and all but if we can duplicate the raid frame function of it without all that extra bloat (half of which is done better by bigwigs anyway) it would be a real victory for the Ace community.
Like I mentioned in the OP, the easiest way to make this decent looking without bloating it up with textures is to simply call UI-TooltipBorder and Frame and provide the user the color/transparency sliders for frame/background. Vertical/horizontal is pretty much a must, but anything fancy beyond that is your own territory :P. Glad this has had a positive response.
I'm having the same issue. Short of removing !!Libraries I don't know what could fix this.
I"ve tried to add the latest CandyBar to the !!Libraries, I"ve tried commenting it out of the toc and adding it to the affected addons only and even as a seperate fold on it's own and nothing seems to work.
So I'm guessing that maybe an issue with Candy Bar itself?
I believe it has something to do with the way that the CandyBar lib creates it local path info for the texture graphic. All you need to do is remove the CandyBarLib directory from !!!libraries and you'll be set.
Interesting, hopefully this is fixable. Love just having !!!Libraries load everything, zone in time is so much faster.
C'Thun timers were perfect for us last night too. :) Is there any way to get a warning telling us which direction the beam is going? Not a big deal to call out /clockwise/counter-clockwise but it would be super useful as a BW call.
tekkub I'll probably do that on my copy until my guildmate has the CECB hook plugin written, but it has the same problem I'm trying to avoid: anything I do has to be replicated by 300+ active raiders and another few hundred casual raiders, so the less "extra" steps the easier it's going to be to migrate over to BW. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)
