    I noticed that when i updated tonight, SCT is no longer showing the name of my abilities when i heal myself. That's not cool. Has that been changed for the latest version (i'm in a raid right now and can't update), or should i consider that a feature request?

    Oh, i found options in DrDamage last night that make it update the numbers whenever you press alt, control, or shift. Since i use [modifier:alt] a lot in my macros, i can tell it to update when i press alt. Yay!

    i'll check today for events that occur during cast sequences

    Please also take a look if any events are cast when you use /cast [modifier:alt] Spell One; Spell Two; and press alt. The tooltip changes in this case, also, as i said in my last post.

    LootLink takes a lot of memory because it keeps a local database of all items you've ever seen. There are other addons that only read wow's local item cache, which means they don't spend space on a database. If memory usage is that important to you, you may have to give up having a database that's independent of the item cache.

    A /castsequence isn't the only time the spell on the bar changes; The [modifier] condition can also cause the displayed ability to change.

    Now, the tooltip DOES change if you use #showtooltip at the start of the macro, so if DrDamage is dependent on that, it's no worry. As for detecting when that happens, i don't know enough about the events to advise you on it.

    I'm rather pleased, in fact, that one of the more recent patches made it so the tooltip changes when you hold alt if you have [modifier:alt] in some of the /casts. I use it heavily (but DrDamage doesn't seem to be aware of the difference, as has been indicated).

    I'd say you probably need to update your Ace libraries. However, i really don't know how to do this if you haven't externalized them like i have. From what i understand about embedded libraries, you should only have to update one Ace addon to update the libraries.

    You may be surprised. When i tried Bongos, it decided to remap all of my keybindings to its own from the blizzard bars, so that when i disabled it, they were all gone. :P

    Ah, yes. I had that same thing. Here's what i did:

    Create a one-line macro that says, /swapactionbar 1 2
    Use BindPad to assign shift+up (or, in my case, control+C) to that macro

    I recommend you change the framestrata of your pet bar or of Quartz's main bar. Now, the details of how to do so are a little technical, so i wouldn't want to try to get someone who's not comfortable screwing around with Lua to do it, and then if you are that kind of person, you can probably already figure out how to do it.

    Personally, i have the addon LuaSlinger installed (at least, i think that's its name) and i have a script (number 3, i think) set to run on the event PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD. When i want a frame in my UI to be on a different strata, i just determine the frame's name (GetMouseFocus():GetName() and GetMouseFocus():GetParent():GetName(), just in case i'm focusing on a button that's on a larger frame) and add in there FrameName:SetFrameStrata("LOW") or whatever.

    The whole flight bar stuff works great for me, except that a couple of days ago, i was summoned during flight, but the flight bar kept ticking down for the remainder of the duration despite the flight being over.

    Now that you mention it, yes, yes i do. Disabling it makes Quartz work.

    I never knew what SupplyAndDemand was for. I suppose it was a dependency of another addon that i no longer use. Sorry if this has been posted about earlier in the thread. I only checked the last couple of pages. :( I should know better by now...

    Actually, yes, i've tried that. I exited the game, deleted all the Quartz folders, installed it again with wowaceupdater, and tried loading again. WoW still seemed to completely ignore it, other than making it show up on the addons list. I don't know if this is actually the fault of Quartz (i see nothing overtly wrong with the .toc), but it isn't happening with any other addons.

    I tried loading Quartz today, but it wouldn't load. It just wouldn't load.

    I used the wow ace updater program to install Quartz without externals (as i have all my libraries externalized). I loaded the game, opened the addons menu, ensured eCastingBar was unchecked and that Quartz was checked, and entered the game. /quartz does nothing. /dump Quartz returns nil. My casting bars are the default.

    Adding lines to output to one of the chat frames into the .lua file does nothing. It's like WoW is completely ignoring the addon after i close the addons menu. I kept waiting for myself to find some stupid thing that i've forgotten to do, but there isn't anything. It just won't load.

    The Blizzard key bindings frame lets you bind keys to the pet bar, but i am at work now and can't look up the name of the bindings for you. They're probably "special action 1" or something.
