    It's not so much that it syncs that's the problem, it's how much data it sends to do so. At least, that's what i've understood from reading all these threads about it.

    Still, if you get your combat log range up, you don't need much synching to get a good idea (within 1-2%) of how everyone is doing.

    I recommend, the next time you and some guildmates get in a group for an instance, explain that you want to test out XLoot's master loot system. Be the group leader and set the looting type to Master Looter, threshhold Uncommon. That should give you numerous opportunities within any 5-man instance to test how it works.

    If you're not absolutely sure about what might happen by the time you hit a boss, you can always turn the looting type back to whatever you normally use temporarily, until after the boss.

    I'd like to replace my buffs frame, but i'm a bit of a pansy when it comes to making radical changes to my UI, and putting Elk buff bars in the place where the regular ones are now just takes up too much vertical space. I should reconsider how i have my entire UI arranged.

    This has nothing to do with quartz; i'm just whining. :)

    It looks to my untrained eye like it's trying to load two copies of ALS. Maybe you should delete all the ALS folders in your addons folder and reinstall it from WAU.

    If your ONLY add on is Quartz, you've tried wiping the savedvariables, you've given it a fresh reinstall from files.wowace.com or the WAU, and it's still having THAT kind of error... what can we recommend? Reinstalling/repairing WoW?

    Just drag (or shift+drag if it's locked) the ability off the bar and click or right-click while your mouse is over empty space on your screen. It should get rid of the ability from the bar (although it will still be accessible via the spellbook).

    Here's just a wild thought. Try re-binding the keys and see what happens. That is, go into Key Bindings setup and re-do all the key bindings for the bars. I'm curious.

    Indeed, spell functions are not available to unsigned code, such as /scripts run in macros. I think even secure template things use an entirely different method to cast abilities conditionally.

    I believe DrDamage is having a little trouble handling the new brewfest steins. I'm at work right now, but as i recall, i get an error when i equip one or login with it equipped.

    I'll try to remember to update this later with the actual message, but i wonder if it has anything to do with the stein having no weapon type, if it doesn't.

    Make sure it's not just Weapon Speed, but your Attack Speed.

    Then again, Steady Shot has a 1.5 second cast time unless you have Haste effects, so if your attack speed is 1.8, is that because of your weapon speed being too quick (clipping autoshots and actually firing at 2.0) or beacuse of a haste effect (steady shot is sped up, no clipping)?

    Also there is a global cooldown initiated by steady shot, so there would be something additional to consider when the attack speed gets around 1.5.

    I'm not sure if it's worth trying to come up with a meaningful number for steady shot DPS. But... what can it hurt? meh.

    Ah, yes, you're looking for... blast, what's it called? I think it's the "special" action bar. Experiment with the keybindings, anyway.

    1 its ugly
    2 it is horrible for configing my bars
    3 it didn't see all the plug ins (DurabilityFu is one of many)
    4 clunky, the way it was before was simple drop downs... much easier.

    1) Your opinion is not shared by us all; i rather like the Rock configuration frame.
    2) It works as well as dropdown menus did, perhaps even better because you don't have to re-open the menu to find where you were if it closes.
    3) DurabilityFu shows up on mine. I can't speculate on why it doesn't on yours.
    4) This is a restatement of number 2.
