Oct 16, 2010Both are great addons and serve their purpose. Personally i prefer the out of the box configuration of Grid2 and i think it is more tailored towards power users than Grid is. If only i knew LUA id edit this myself but alas i don't. I really hope someone picks this up. Its truly a shame that no one can combine the two to make for a better addon overall.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
Mar 21, 2010Decided i would try out the newest alpha to see try the layered features but i just can't seem to get the options to load up no matter what i do. I'm befuddled as to why. point him to the API documentation.
Thank you for the nice reply unlike some others. I wasn't asking for mod support per say but to help the author of RDX out on how to access the maps or how they are drawn. Atlas is going to a similar system down the road where the maps are drawn dynamically anyways so its an overall good thing.
I pay for RDX for other reasons. Quill is a nice to have thing that comes with it.

I am a user of RDX and recently there has been a feature for it that has been released that is very cool:
Its called Quill and its essentially a whiteboard where you can dynamically write out raid strategies to your entire raid. Problem right now is that the map support for it currently only works with Atlas and i use Cartographer. I asked the author Veni about this and he had this to say:
I took a look at Cartographer and it doesn't look like it exports its map list/textures. They are held in inaccessible local variables.
I'm no Cartographer expert or anything and it's entirely possible I misunderstood the code, but I don't think I can support it unless they add an API to access their map list.
Any possibility you could help him out? I would love for these to both coexist.

Current as of the current beta build.
Any idea possibly? It loops over and over so id like to pin this down for you guys.

Dec 31, 2006Has anyone else had any problems with their Live 2.0 ACE2 addons working well but some of them breaking in the Closed Beta? I can post a long string of bugs ive found on the Closed Beta with certain addons but im not sure if would pertain correctly to current development. Its really odd to say the least.
