Hmm.. in theory, it's quite easy to create a frame for whatever unitid you want, just use the metro-driven variant of aUFunit.

    /aguf addframe unitid? :P

www.wowinterface.com. When we have a verified working version, we upload it there under beta / finished mods.

Some commits on agUF[TBC] broke the addon, so I have two versions of the addon: latest revision for testing and coding and a working version when I do instances.

We do appreciate power users who tries the latest svn's and report bugs, but please beware that everything there is pre-release quality.

fyi, parserlib works in tbc. Some strings are missing, but that's it.

As sctd works fine for most stuff, yea.

But as parsing events is one of the most CPU heavy function, it should be done in a better way than loop through table and try them.

Statistical and syntactical analysis should improve efficientcy:
    - What's the chance that CHAT_MSG_COMBAT_PARTY_HITS matches COMBATHITOTHEROTHER ("%s hits %s for %d."). Use this data to reorder matching attempts.
    - What are the keywords in a pattern? Are they unique for an event?

A log parser should minimize the amout of
    - String.find's, without plain=true parameter.
    - String.find's with plain=true. It's 10x faster than patterns, but still very slow compared to normal arithmetic.

(I'm off to porting any casting bar to WoW 2.0... default ui bar is bugged, it doesn't adjust time when you get hit while casting :/)

    Yup working nicely, thanks ag

I tried with no success to get mEnemyCastbar working with the lastest agUF. However I spent about 10 minutes before I gave up :p

Yeah, Andreas renamed the frames from aUF.units[unitid] to aUF.units["aUF" .. unitid] :P

It's updated now, try the version a02.

SVN v14714 seems to be working well, except that health/mana is not updating on Player and Target frames consistently

Can't reproduce with r14755... Try updating, Andreas did a major reengineering of the frames for WoW 2.0 raid compatibility.

    [edit]

Definately can reproduce with r14755 ^^

The whole handling thing seems broken. /rl in combat = not working unitframes, also breaks on zoning...

    [edit #2]

Committed an emergency patch which stops UpdateAll from unregistering events.

That method is bound to some event handlers directly, but without load = true flag, it unregisters all events on the current frame. Needs to trace the flow, but this can't wait - I reloaded my UI every few minutes in HFC because of stuck frames, this issue is a show stopper.

I love your unitframes Andreasg. I've used Mini-group and I loved toes as well. However, I am having a problem with AG_Unitframes playing a druid. When I shapeshift into bear form it brings up my rage. But when I shift back into caster it takes a good 10 seconds before showing my mana again. I've tried deleteing my WTF folder, changing the layout of the frames, that bar style, and blah blah but nothing sees to make my mana appear instantly. As for cat form i'm not sure about energy, I havn't gotten a chance to test that out yet. But i'm sure it will do the same thing. I'm not sure if anyone else has posted about this. I looked around a bit and saw nothing. Hopefully you can help me out with this, thanks!

Comfirmed bug. Bar color won't change until the first mana update. But the fix isn't trivial, either polling or listening on a new event (PLAYER_AURAS_CHANGED with arg1-9 = nil) won't be implemented (yet) on the trunk to minimize the amout of (back-)porting required with the TBC branch.

I've committed the step size patch from TBC branch, no more fiddling with 139/141% scales.

I'd suggest you to wait with converting, Sprocket requires a major rewrite. It uses ItemClasses to execute actions, and that isn't possible in BC.

Any eta for a release and any thought on beta compatibility? It would be a shame it BC totally broke it, as it requires a strange way of grouping the unitframes.

I'm working to make the layout module as TBC compatible as I can without having access to beta.

    Take a look at http://wdn.wowinterface.com/compare/2006022/beta, especially the files SecureTemplates.xml, SecureTemplates.lua, SecureStateHeader.lua and UnitWatch.lua.

We've changed agUF to use the SecureUnitButtonTemplate and RegisterUnitWatch/UnregisterUnitWatch (check TBC branch on svn for logs and diffs), but we're still figuring out how to support party enter/leaves while in combat (no secure template for that) and SecureRaidGroupHeaderTemplate for in raids, but we've been tipped that the last one may be rewritten for easier usage.

posted a message on Ace2 ParserLib thoughts
I would if I had the time for it. While ParserLib / MCombatParser does a decent job, I think it's way better to build search tables dynamically, which saves us from updating the lists (80%+ of the code) everytime something changes. But as GlobalStrings is quite large, we'll need a pretty efficient algorithm to searth through it, O(n) or better preferred.

Since enemy casting bars are now a fundamental part of the game, I spent some time to get that hacked into agUF. Result is on http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5488.html

An image of the casting bar:

For now, it has 0 configuration options, just unzip and run. It tries to match the frame width (not quite accurate) and texture of agUF.

Ack, need to edit first post to point to a more recent version.

If you use svn, checkout http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/branches/ag_UnitFrames/TBC/ag_UnitFrames/

    Otherwise, get it from http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5468-ag_UnitFrames.html

Miles, what happens if a party member leaves in combat? Does it hide his frame correctly or do you use alpha for that too? :S

I think you might have to use the secure party header. Oh man, sucks so much I can't help out :P

Hmm... that's a good question. It's 100% alpha now, I'll update it to alpha if self.unit == target or targettarget, and plain old hide/show for other frames.

@Bartender - Yay! I'll try it when I get home, no WoW for me atm, I'm on remote desktop :P
