Hello, I started noticing that I'm getting lag spikes (~ 1 sec) when someone in the raid logs in when I'm in combat. So if someone DCs or is sitting out and logs in/out a lot, my performance suffers a bit. I'm guessing this is oRA2 doing it since it was the culprit before, and was fixed, but it seems like it's been doing it again for a few weeks at least. Thanks!
If possible could you make it so Omen ignores the threat from the Shield Orbs in the Kil'jaeden encounter? I use AoE mode since KJ himself doesn't have threat (not sure if KJ's threat is being ignored either), and it's very helpful when the reflections come up. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. Thanks!
Thanks, could you try again now? I think I nailed the issue.
I didn't notice any lag last night, then again, our raid was tight and nobody was disconnecting or logging off/on. I generally notice it more when we have more than 25 in the raid (sitting outside the instance), because they generally log off and on more than those raiding (or at least, one would hope).
If someone in the raid DCs and comes back in, I get a 3-4 second stutter. If I disable oRA it doesn't happen. I saw someone had posted about this several pages back, but I didn't see a resolution posted.
Could it be caused by these people having older versions? Our guild has to pull teeth to get people to update their mods, but I'm one of those guys who updates almost daily.
I had been getting a 'db' error, and got the similar issue with the variables not being changeable. I was able to fix it by doing the following:
- Uninstall TinyTip and TinyTipOptions, and any other TinyTip addons (or just delete those folders)
- Install TinyTip WITHOUT externals (using WowAceUpdater). Basically this just prevents the creation of the "modules" folder within /TinyTip
- Install TinyTipBasic, TinyTipOptions, TinyTipPositioning, TinyTipTargets WITH externals (using WowAceUpdater)
Until the author fixes the issue, you can use this as a work-around.
I updated my addons this evening and discovered that ABF was gone... I have no idea which addon it was tied to, but I use it in Pitbull and Quartz. I'm now using Arial Narrow until I can figure it out (seems to fit inside my minimalistic UI). Anyone have ideas? Thanks.
Edit - Now i'm not sure that ABF was even a font, but it seems like it's a layout within Pitbull. All I know is that I updated, and my fonts in Quartz and Pitbull reverted to something else. I'll try to figure it out and post in the appropriate forum.
Greetings, I've been using these addons for awhile now. Several times yesterday I noticed that Herbalism nodes were not being updated. As in, I would find a new node (Nightmare Vine), loot the node, but the minimap did not update. Has anyone experienced this, possibly anything I can do to correct the issue?
It's possible that no new nodes were recorded last night, as I only found a couple of them and I only noticed that lack of recording towards the end of the evening.
edit: I've read similar posts in this forum, there were no nodes nearby, and I will check on the 100 node limit, it's possible that there are nodes that are in the database but not displayed due to the node filters I'm using.
I'm an x-perl convert (loving PitBull) but the two things that I miss are
1) #players currently targeting my target (assisting me), on the target frame, and
2) #healers targeting me, on the player frame
Not sure if it's in a module I have disabled, or just not currently a feature due to whatever reasons (like overhead). I found it very useful for determining if our raid DPS is split, and the reason for seeing the # of healers targeting the player should be obvious :). Thanks.
Speaking of the Cooldown Monitor, I've got a small bug to report. I think I can explain how to reproduce it.
I have it enabled and scaled to 65% size. It seems if I open the oRA2 menu and mouseover the Cooldown Monitor (may have to expand the Size menu), the scale slider will be at the bottom and display 0, even though the frame is still at 65%. Now, after I open the menu in this way, if another cooldown is added to the list, the single bar for it comes up at max scale, while any pre-existing cooldown bars remain 65%. I then have to go back in, reset the scale back to 65%, and it's back to normal.
The only strange thing is, sometimes when I check the scale, it displays 65%, other times it displays 0 (I don't think there is a "%" after it). I might be wrong on the details as I haven't been using this addon very long, but the above should be mostly correct (sorry for not being the best bug reporter).
As a hunter I don't need to be able to see the raidframes all the time. With X-Perl I had the option to bind a key to toggle between showing and hiding the raidframes. I also had a keybind to switch between sorting by class and by group. Both of which are features I'm currently missing in PitBull (or is there already slash or script command to do this?).
This will toggle raid frames on and off:
/script PitBull:ChangeHidden("raid", not PitBull.db.profile.groups["raid"].hidden);
For the other keybind you mention, check these functions (in PitBull.lua):
As others have posted... please, please, make an option to disable the reagent counts for abilities that use reagents. Or at least, disable the count for anything that uses a soul shard. For warlocks, it's redundant to have this number for every spell that uses a shard...

The SVN is nice... although it does give you the feeling, especially after a patch, that addons will be updated daily. Sometimes this isn't possible or necessary. However, SVN has it's issues, and I quote from oCB.lua:
Hello Mr. Localizer / Bug fixer,
If you want to localize this add on, feel free to send me a diff/patch on <email address removed>. Don't commit however, since that puts me out of control regarding changes, and it's very common that the add on breaks with syntax errors or incorrectly added externals.
I'm very tired of thsi happening, so the consequences of this will be that I removed the add on from the SVN as people think they can tinker with everything without asking.
This is the final warning.
(This also yields for every other type of commit that effects this add on.)
The "difference" mana bar text is not quite working properly. For HP it works fine (difference does not show when zero), but for the mana bar it displays the difference even when it's at zero. Also, please add a space between the current value and the difference, so it's easier to read. I realize I can do most of this with Custom tags, but I don't believe I can change the color (maybe this is possible?)
My solution:
In ag_WatchdogCore.lua, replace line 147 with the statement for hpDiff (starts at line 197), using manaDiff. I also add a space before the red color string for each of these.
