DPS numbers for Arcane Blast, however, seem to remain unchanged. It still seems to look like the screenshot. DPS for Arcane Blast seems to be "Avg Total" divided by a consistent 2.5 seconds instead of the actual, fluctuating cast time.

Hmm, now I see, it's not detected because it's counted as a debuff. Will fix it for the next version. I guess third time's the charm (hopefully).

I'm posting to confirm that your Arcane Blast fix works perfectly. Sorry I'm late to reply. I've been using the corrected version for quite some time. But I wanted to offer a screenshot of corrected Arcane Blast DPS. Very cool. Thanks again. Gagorian is a rock star!

New version should have working arcane potency, arcane blast and the paladin talent illumination. Please verify that they work as they should.

I'm happy to report that mage talent Arcane Potency is detected and considered in my DrDamage numbers. Thanks for the fix.

I'm willing to run a development DrDamage with debug and/or logging statements in it, if that would help. Thanks.

When mage talent "Arcane Potency" is active, my crit chance on my character sheet goes up 30%. But DrDamage is not aware of this change in crit. Here's a screenshot.

Is it possible to make the DrDamage numbers react on-the-fly to this improvement in crit rate -- just like the character sheet?

    Thanks.

I have new Arcane Blast screenshots that may be more helpful.

It looks like the mana cost and cast times are indeed on the tooltip. DPM correctly changes as mana cost changes. But DPS doesn't change as cast time changes.

Regarding the specific screenshot, instead of DPS values of 544, 544, 544, 544. It would be nice if DrDamage instead reported DPS numbers 544, 627, 743, 907.

DPM numbers should change as long as the standard UI displays the increase in mana cost. I can add the DPS increase based on current debuffs on the target. The reason it wasn't added is that it would show the spell DPS only situationally. It's hard to estimate what the true impact of the debuff is in general because the player might not stack it up always to full.

So is your suggestion only to add the situational DPS display (amount of debuffs that are currently stacked)?

If I understand your question correctly, then yes.

I don't expect DrDamge to report a single, average DPS number based on how I tend to use Arcane Blast over time. I don't expect DrDamge to report history. I want to know the DPS of the next cast based on my current state.

I'm hoping that the DPS value reported for Arcane Blast will change on-the-fly as the debuff is stacked. If I cast Arcane Blast once, DPS on the tool tip and action bar should go up on-the-fly to reflect the current, potential DPS of the next cast. When the debuff fades, the DPS would go back down on-the-fly.

Do I make sense? Is that consistent with the design goals of DrDamage?

Arcane Blast is a new mage spell. Each cast of Arcane Blast applies a self-debuff that decreases cast time while increasing mana usage of subsequent casts (stacks up to 3 times).

Here's a screenshot of each of the debuffs. wowwiki reports on actual versus reported effects of the Arcane Blast debuff.

Anyway, I don't believe DrDamage is giving consideration for the Arcane Blast debuff. My hope is that the DPS and DPM numbers would change based on the presence and stacking of the debuff. From what I can tell, DrDamage is not doing this.

    Thanks.

Molten armor was unintentionally left out of the TBC updates, thanks for pointing that out! I've added it to the latest version.

Molten Armor works well for me in the latest version. Thanks for the quick fix.

I think I figured out why the mage talent Incinerate isn't being detected properly. Unlike the on-line talent calculator which calls it "Incinerate", the name of the talent in-game is now "Incineration". Here's a screenshot.

I have an additional question. Many of the Outland zones have a zone buff -- e.g. 5% extra damage. It looks like DrDamage is reporting 5.2% extra damage. With all other things being equal, here's a reference shot of me starting with 1.03% damage. Stepping from the city into the zone produces 1.082% damage. Am I reading this properly?

    Thanks.

I'm a new DrDamage user. I love it. Well done.

I have two issues. I'm a mage. I have the English client. For reference I have a screenshot. (The actionbar is currently showing "DPS".)

    1. The Molten Armor self buff should give a +3% chance to crit to all spells. This is shown on the character sheet, but not on the DrDamage tooltips.

    2. The mage talent Incinerate 2/2 should show an additional 4% chance to crit for Fire Blast and Scorch spells. This isn't reflected on the DrDamage tooltips.

If perhaps I've configured it wrong, please let me know. Thanks.
