I had the raid frames misrepresent players today. There was a similar error a while back.
By misrepresent I mean the name on the frame does not represent the target you get when you click the frame. Sometimes the class color is wrong for the particular name, and sometimes the power bars are confused. (energy bars on priests)
I believe the target and party frame was always correct. Just the raid frames had this problem.
Reloading the UI did not fix the issue. I also tried disabling the raid frames and re-enabling them within pitbull. I believe this initially fixed it, but they gradually changed and began to show the wrong frames over time.
I think the raids fixed themselves somehow when I released spirit for the first time. Up until that point I had always rezed with a soulstone (healer). Maybe the zone change in ghost form triggered the correct settings.
Sorry I can't be more specific. I'll tell you if it happens again.
I have the latest rev 38036. While I don't notice the lag when someone joins or leaves or gets moved in a group as much, I have been noticing a significant amount of lag when entering and leaving combat. It causes a severe stutter. About a 1-2s delay on my machine. My machine's no slouch either. At the moment it's consuming 5.16MB of addon memory.
I don't use bar fader and I've tried disabling auras and agro. It seems like all raid frames has had this problem at one point. I remember CTRaid having it years ago and AG more recently.
This has been lingering now for months and confirmed by multiple people. Some say it's just the auras module but when disabled, the problem is better, not gone. Is there any plan to fix or should we just write off Pitbull as a raid addon?
What else can we do to help gather information on this problem?
I did some testing tonight and disabled every addon except pitbull and it still happens. I even tried disabling some modules lie aura and banzai and stuff but it still happens. 25 people in the raid at the time.
I just started using Hotman and I can't seem to get the bars to change texture. I can change every other aspect (size, fade, etc) but when I change the texture, nothing happens. I can change textures on any other Ace2 candybar addon.
Pitbull is still "hiccuping" or causing a slight studder of lag when in a raid and either someone joins the raid, moves groups or changes groups. It's been raised a few times by several people but we still don't seem to have a resolution.
I remember this starting up around the time the fix for the sorting and naming artifact in a raid was introduced with the following changes:

PitBull - when the group updates, delay the :UpdateAll by a frame

PitBull - run :UpdateAll when the party/raid changes
If I disable raid frames and still use other pitbull frames (player, target, etc) and go back to ag_unitframes the problem goes away.
Raid frames are the last thing that are still unusable and would love to help get this resolved. Is there any other information we can provide to help with a fix?
mar:
I had the same problem until I figured it was my graphic card.
I'm playing with the nvidia 158.22 beta driver (8800GTX) from their official website, however they still seem to be bugged.
In order to stop those hiccups, I actually need to play a movie (ffdshow codec) while i'm playing on WoW.
Hope it may have helped you.
Huh? Do you need to keep it going while playing or? Sounds weird;p And what is this ffdshow codec?
I'm currently using ForceWave 93.81.. and I have a GF 7900GTX.
That indeed sounds crazy. I'm also running a 8800 card and getting the hiccups when the raid changes. I don't see how it's related to the card as I wasn't getting this symptom before the following raid changes:

Moxie, alright, sorting now puts all castable buffs/debuffs first.
Still isn't working with build r35392. With a large number of buffs, and fewer max buffs with sort and filtering on, I don't see some of my class buffs.
Here is an example the priest in the raid frame is the one targeted. Notice that you don't see the spirit buff on the raid frame. If you increase the max buffs to 8 you see it.

Could it possibly be caused by the frame delay?

I've had this for a while but it seemed to start when the updateall was added to raid frames to get rid of the name and sorting artifacts.
