Ok, i've cooked up a way to do that, for now only in Custom Format, but i suppose that works. Its not fully implemented yet, but here is what you would use:
[combat]show;fade
Show Bar in combat, otherwise fade
So what i've done is replaced the blizzard handler with my own that knows "show", "hide", and "fade". I'll have to think about how the options will work, i'll explain that once i'm done.
Awesome, Nevcairiel. Thanks so much for working on this option. :)
This will make it possible to set dual hide/show conditions, right?
Like hide OOC unless holding a specific key, or hide IC unless holding a key/possessing something?
On a sidenote on hide/show, will there ever be a possibility with "soft" fade in/out?
I'd really like to see an option to have the bars hidden until mouseover OR combat. That is, when I'm in combat, they automatically show. When I mouseover the bar it also shows, no matter when.
Another poster suggested earlier in the thread to have the bars hidden until a target is selected -- useful for range checking spells -- which is also a great idea. Again, that in combination with hide until mouseover would be good for me.
There is only an option to do a Search for bankitems.
You dont get the content of your bank in a window.
I get all my characters listed with menu items for different bank categories (bank trade goods, bank other, bank quest, etc.). Have you visited the bank with your alts?
You could always roll a hunter and use hunter's mark. :P
Sorry, I don't know of any add-ons that can do this but always thought a directional indicator would be nice. In DAoC, I used to use /face but there's nothing like that in WoW that I know of. I don't play a hunter exclusively so I do miss not having a way to mark targets sometimes.
Autobar doesn't support cyCircled anymore but ButtonFacade instead. It also plays well with Bartender 4 which also supports ButtonFacade. Both support Keybound so it's all very easy to set up.
I actually want to do something about the hide/fade system, but currently its a time issue. I also have some other plans for WotLK, so we'll see how that turns out when i've the time. :)
Is there anyway you could allow [Show on Mouseover and Show in Combat] to work at the same time? To be fair, when I asked for the feature some months back, this is how I envisioned it would work. Bar appears when I mouseover it or I go in combat. Actually, if the fade out option would just fade in when I entered combat, that would work, too. Right now, I'm stuck with either no bars until I go into combat. Or no bars until I mouseover them. I don't use the mouse for buttons during combat (but would like to see the bar then) but would use it outside of combat to move/check buttons, etc. (but would want to hide them again when I was done).
Any chance this could be added? I'd like to have my bars hidden until I mouseover them or until I'm in combat. Per a few posts above, I'd be happy with them appearing with a target selected instead.
Loving Bartender4, thank you for the continued support.
An option to "Show in Combat" that also supports "Show in Combat or Target Selected" would be very welcome. Hiding bars when I'm not in combat is great, but at the same time I need to see bars when targeting mobs (while out of combat) to see if I'm in range.
