I've had a problem for a while, basically whenever I pull up the main map (hit 'M') and right click to zoom out it zooms right back in. Sometime it gives me a few seconds to click on another zone, but then it will just zoom back in to the zone I'm in. Make setting way points annoying at best, makes trying to find where the scourge is invading maddening.
As I said, this problem started a while ago and mostly I've just lived with it, figuring I'd get around to tracking it down sometime. When it started I was using Cartographer, I ended up switching to Mapster because I originally thought it was Cart that was causing it. I've also gone from Chinchilla to Squeenix and back, made no difference. Everything map related, and most of my other mods, have changed since this started, thanks to 3.0, and still it continues to plague me. It's worse in some areas -- Ata'mal Terrace, for instance, is horrible, but things get better if I fly off a little ways -- and seems to be related to something happening around me, but I'm not sure exactly what.
Oh, and I've changed video cards (ATI9550 to ATI3650), albeit not because of this, and added memory, and still it persists.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what might be causing this or where it would be best to start looking next, I'd be very appreciative.

It's really this feature that keeps me with Pitbull, being able to see a rough (and generally quite accurate) estimate of how much someone will be healed while casting helps tons with "calibrating" heals (albeit this will be less important in LK with the untimely death of downranking) and deciding what to prioritize next. While Visual Heal provides this functionality in its own bars, having it in the unit frames themselves means you don't have shift your eyes off the unit frames whilst healing and that, at least for me, makes for a slightly faster response time.
Anyway, I guess my question is are there any plans to add Visual Heal-style realtime healing estimates to X-Perl unit frames?

My assumption about PW:F and PoF was in error, I checked on my priestess and both cast just fine on the island -- sorry about that. AB/AI seem to be the only buffs effected, which makes me think it must be a bug.
That aside, your fix so SSR won't pester me about AI whilst on the island seems to work just great, thank you very much for your efforts!

However (and you just knew there was a 'however', didn't you?), I do have a very minor issue. On the Isle of Quel'Danas there is a Naaru who gives a buff called K'iru's Song of Victory that gives a zone-wide health and mana boost. My problem is that this buff overrides Arcane Intellect/Arcane Brilliance and makes them uncastable -- I assume it does the same for priest health buffs, but I haven't taken my priestess their since that %@*@%( Naaru showed up.
The problem, as I'm sure you can guess, is that whilst on the island SSR keeps insisting that AI/AB is missing and, since it can't cast AI it won't ever cast any of the other buffs (molten armor, dampen magic) that run out. I can, of course, just remove AI from SSR's list of buffs, but I'm always worried I'll forget to turn it back on later.
I realize this is a pretty trivial matter, but would it be possible for SSR to recognize this Naaru's buff as overriding AI/AB (and, presumably, PW:F/PoF, I can test those if needed to see if my assumption is correct) so that it won't see those buffs as missing when they're uncastable?
edit: I should mention that this buff does not interfere with MotW/GotW or any other druid or warlock buff I generally use.
Jul 29, 2008I've been having a problem lately whereby if I join a group while in battle or someone joins a group I'm in while I'm in battle my unit frames become, well, 'messed up'. By 'messed up' I mean that there will be no unit frame for the person that joined (or was in the group that I joined) and there will be a kind of "ghost" frame where my target frame is. This ghost frame doesn't interfere with the target frame, except that it changes the colour of target frame bars.Posted in: Unit Frames
I've been avoiding the problem as much as possible by not accepting joins until I'm out of battle and they whole thing is fixed if I do a /reloadui or port/portal/hearth, but it is an annoyance, albeit a minor one, and I'd appreciate it if anyone had any clues as to what might be causing this.
