I need to understand the request fully. Is this just a matter of turning on mouselook when the button is held down and turning off mouselook when it is released? In that case it is very easy to do. I will check in a version with that feature so you can test if that's good enough. (Wether or not it's enough, I think it will be useful on its own to have this.)

Yeah :), I was gonna tweak it myself last night, but didn't have time before the raid ;).

Basically being able to change my POV while hovering over the grid frames, rather than having to move my mouse off, hold down a key, change POV, then move back again.

//edit just tested it now, it works just like right clicking, however it does not work when I mouse over another frame, which is kinda the point :P

a "momentary" button that I hold down for a pointer (assigned to my mouse thumb button) and let go of to return to mouselook. The momentary button is the most used feature of my addon,

I was just gonna post here and ask for that :p, I turned off all the other stuff, but to be able to change my pov while having my mouse over my grid frames would be great ;), I'm a healer, and moving my mouse off grid frames, holding down a mouse key, then moving the window, takes a lot longer than just being able to do it from the grid frame.

    I can't fix it if I can't reproduce it.

Can you put some debug code in to enable with /grid debug <module> maybe?

rev r63494, with a 10man party turning off and on 40 yard range shows everyone perfectly, except 2 people which it shows out of range, even when they are in range.

There's still some serious issues with these changes :/

Still having range issues with r63494.

I got alpha set to 40 yards, I got 40 yards enabled. It shows properly faded for one group for me atm, and not for any of the other groups, even if they are on different continents.

//edit, tried it with bottomleft indicator now, it defenatly only updates for group 1, and not my group 2 and 3 (note that I'm in group 2)

//edit 2, worked now, enabling it didn't work, doing /grid suspend on and off didn't work, but relogging seems to have done something.

@neuron: The likely main cause is that some recounts in your raid have sync turned on. This causes very high network traffic and I strongly advice that everybody in raid turns it off unless you absolutely need it. The sync situation will get much better for 2.4.

Will it cause lag if someone else in the raid has it on, and I dont?

I probably did turn that on myself though, I have a habbit of opening options and pulling all the levers :P, you might wanna put a warning on that option or something ;)

    Thanks for the help.

Has anyone had problems with lag/delays when using recount? Spamming lifeblooms I usually have 4 global cooldowns to work with, Last night raiding I had 2-3, disabled recount and had 4 again. Now a friend of mine suggested I disable recount, but it doesn't make much sense to me that it would cause this problem (and it could have been a coincidence that things improved). I had 70ms and no fps problems before and after disabling recount, so that's not it, and the change between 3 and 4 gcd's was very noticable.

    Status->Out of Range->Color

If you have any other status modifiers active for frame alpha, you'll have to tweak those too.

duh, so logical when I think about it ;), thanks.

is there any way to set the % of the frame alpha? I find it a bit tricky to tell the difference between someone who's in range and someone who's not in range.

Hey neuron, long time no see! Have you had a chance to get another WoW-capable computer up and running yet? If so, I was wondering what you think of the changes to nQuestLog. I've been trying to add a few features here and there without breaking anything (I'm not always successful), and it's been fun learning Lua in the process. When I first started using nQuestLog in May of this year, I knew from the start that it was the ideal questing addon for me, and we all appreciate the work you put into creating this awesome addon. :D

Looks great :), I haven't used it much, just installed it and I've only done daily quests after that. Playing very very casually atm though, I might start coding on it a bit whenever I need to level to 80 ;)

I have a question for everyone. Do you actually use nQuestLog without the Coloring module enabled? I can't imagine anyone doing this, as it looks terrible (in my opinion) with no color at all. I'm considering making this a part of the core, rather than a module, as it just seems pointless to have it in module form. Thoughts?

I only wrote that as a module because I planned on reimplementing it with a cleaner api, but ended up semi rewriting it in the original module instead :p. I seriously doubt you'll find anyone missing the option to disable that.

P.S. While I do have access to SVN, I decided not to check in any changes. I didn't know if you (Neuron) like other people checking stuff in. I also haven't done it before here, so I didn't want to experiment on your add-on.

Feel free to commit it to the svn, and that counts for anyone else doing changes as well (aslong as they are a bit tested of course).

Unfortunatly I've lost pretty much all my hardware, and due to that I'm not playing wow (and posting here wasn't really a priority :p ). So anyone that wants to pickup development feel free to do so :)

I haven't used the history for awhile, but I thought you could set a loot quality threshold?

You can, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the history.
