Quartz (on the top, Casting shadow bolt) and Dotimer (cooldown and dot timer on the right-hand side) puts a "spark" at the point where the bar texture ends. It's easy to see where they are in casting.
Pitbull (the target unit) has no spark. This makes it harder to see at a glance where the end of the bar is. Is it possible to get one like the one showing in quartz?

Have you tried hiding tooltips while in combat?
edit: many fubar plugins have a fuction assigned to them when you left-click them.
I already have that enabled.. it's specifically the out-of-combat tooltips I want to prevent.
Or to be more specific.. I only want to see tooltips when I actively ask for tooltips.
Sep 27, 2007sorry to Necro this.. but this is kind of what I'm looking for.Posted in: Addon Ideas
I'd like to be able to setup fubar so it only shows the tooltip if I click the little taggy on fubar. The tooltip keeps layering over other things (buttons, minimap buttons) at the top of the screen making it so I have to mouse off of the tooltip and then go back.

I'm using this version.
I use Clique+Grid to heal. (described here: http://warcraft.fibergeek.com/?p=343)
I'm having a problem with the healing.. and I think it's from Grid.
I'm standing in front of Scryer Bank. I target a friendly and then mouse over -my- unit in Grid and click SHIFT+right click to cast my Flash of Light.
It casts flash of light on my target. -NOT- on me. Pre 2.2 I would have expected it to cast on me regardless of my target.
If I target an unfriendly then click for my heal, it casts my heal on me.
If I'm in a party, if I have a mob targeted then all my heals are cast on me.

Grid and GridStatusMissingBuffs has everything for druids, palas and priests to buff a group or a single member of your group/raid! No? Show what you have! You want timers? well haha!!! learn tooooooo config Grid and GridStatusMissingBuffs!!! thx
As much as I appreciate your ever-so-politely-worded suggestion, this does not fully fit my needs. So I will continue to try and find a way to integrate PallyPower and Grid.
You're welcome to not use it. Manually buff until your fingers bleed. Whatever makes you happy. -I- choose to use a mod. I get to make that choice.
Oh.. BTW, did you miss the part where pallypower allows me to assign the buffs for other pallys in the raid.. so we don't conflict and use the best blessings possible?
Sep 21, 2007Recently, in the GRID topic, they added a "GridStatusAFK" module and shortly thereafter a "GridStatusPvP" module.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
Can these modules be used to create a GridStatusPallyPowerBuffMissing Module?

GridStatusAFK would fit better with the existing naming convention for Grid status modules.
I've created the files, and tested them in game. Everything works perfectly (thanks). I created a zip file of the addon, but don't know how to SVN, so I'll just link it here (from my personal FTP):
Can GridStatusAFK be used as a template for a GridStatusPVP? Getting ganked at the door of Kara because someone showed up for the raid flagged for PVP and then got buffed is very annoying.
Sep 10, 2007I am a programmer.. but I have no experience in addon programming.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
I believe this change would require the following:
1. A Grid plugin to update Grid statuses based on the expect statuses in Pallypower.
2. An update to pally power to allow the "recast buff" that's build into the UI module to be done with Clique when clicking on a unitframe.
I think #1 should be the easier of the two.. but I think #2 would require a change in Pallypower.
That said, I don't know addon programming.. but I'd -love- to see the described functionality.

Maybe I understand you wrong - or I miss something.
The intention is to focus the target of a raid member.
And to get it by clicking the element in Grid.
What I think you mean is - click the person and click an "assist" macro button.
I use the keyboard - because I do the most things with it.
So a marco like this is not a real help - or did you mean something else?
As a parallel example: I use Grid + Clique. To heal I target the baddie we're currently killing.. then I mouse over the person needing a heal. I hold down shift and then left-click on that person in Grid to cast my Holy Light (biggest heal) on them. This does not change my target... in fact it doesn't change my focus either. It simply casts the indicated spell on the indicated unit.
I assume you could do something similar with assisting. That is, Mouse over the unit and hit the correct mouse button combination to call the assist macro.

would be great (right mouse for an example) at the moment I use:
Click (selects member) followed by the key f
Assuming what you want is "assist this person" you could probably get that functionality by using Clique and a macro.
Clique to capture the clicks and the macro to trigger the /assist.
Sep 6, 2007When the priest in the party Mind Controlled a mob it showed up as a pet. Can I prevent that? MC mobs are supposed to take damage and die.. I'm not supposed to want to heal them because they've shown up on my GRID. :)Posted in: Grid & Grid2
