No. Well, it was probably what Dridzt was referring to, but not what I am looking for. That option only toggles the textures that appear in the center of the screen. I am referring to the gold highlights around the ability buttons on your hotbars.

posted a message on Disabling ability highlight overlay
I had, until a few days ago, a kind of addon that disabled the glowing overlay that highlights abilities that can be used or can be used due to a buff. It wasn't technically an addon, but was actually a folder that is placed in the wow/interface directly, rather than the wow/interface/addon directory. In cleaning out some mods I deleted the folder, and unfortunately my recycle bin was full at the time, causing it to be deleted outright and I am unable to simply recover it. I first found it a few days after Cataclysm released, when many others were looking for the same thing, but I do not remember where I found it and Google-fu is failing me.

Does anyone know where I can find it again? The folder was called Spell Activation Overlay, which is presumably the official name of the effect, and the folder would overwrite the default functionality.

I prefer to disable it because I still sometimes rely on the cooldown clock timer that is shown on abilities, which is greatly obscured by the highlight overlay. I have other means, that I am more accustomed to and that are less obtrusive, of showing when important abilities are available for use.

I realize this isn't technically an addon and may not fall under this help forum, but I am not sure if there is a more appropriate forum than this.

    posted a message on ClockFu
How easy would it be to get ClockFu to work independently of FuBar?

With FuBar in update limbo I've moved on to using Bazooka, but unlike my other FuBar plugins (such as Durability and PerformanceFu) ClockFu is dependent on FuBar. Attempting to simply remove the required dependency [in what is no doubt a completely useless move] in the .toc allows ClockFu to load without throwing an error, but does not appear in Bazooka's plugin options to anchor it to the bar.

I'm aware of Broker_Clock but its configuration options seem to be extremely limited compared to ClockFu's.

Edit: Sigh, should've spent another 5 minutes looking before making a post. Broker_uClock provides a solution.

    posted a message on BigWigs
Is it possible to modify the range value for Bigwig's proximity display in specific encounters? It doesn't seem to be found under the normal config window, nor under the config for a particular encounter. Just whether the display appears at all.

The reason I ask: Saurfang's prox display was only 9 yards while his blood nova had a range of 12. Though it's since been fixed after the version I've been using (updating it today) I was wondering if there's an option somewhere to tweak it manually without having to modify the lua files or wait for an update.

Sorry if this is answered in the thread somewhere. I can't seem to find the "search in this thread" option that most BB code boards have. (May not have looked that hard either~)

posted a message on Parrot and Heals
Currently, all heals with Parrot are being reported a criticals (that is, given my configuration, they are acting according to the sticky configuration). Damage, whether incoming or outgoing, works fine, but both direct heals and HoTs are being stickied. Are others experiencing the same issue?

I'm aware that issues with Parrot should be reported using the bug ticket system, but I am looking for confirmation that this is actually an issue. Alternatively, if it is not, whether I did not test my settings strenuously enough to find out what is causing the issue.

    posted a message on Grid
Is there a way to have an indicator light up on the condition that it is not provided by me?

The situation is as follows: As a druid healer, I have indicators in one corner for only my own heals over time. I would like to have separate indicators in a different corner for heals over time cast by others. The difficulty is that this second corner lights up even if the HoT was cast by me, resulting in a bit of a sensory overload, especially when I cast Wild Growth. There doesn't seem to be an option in Grid natively for what I want to do, but perhaps there is an module addon that I am not familiar with that can accomplish this?

The idea is to be able to tell at a glance who in the raid is receiving HoTs from the other druids, reducing overhealing, rather than only marking targets I've HoT'ed recently so that I am not overwriting my own heals.

I apologize for not checking through this entire thread, but has a solution been found to the fade out being always on for certain unit tooltips?

posted a message on ag_UnitFrames Status (What's going on?)
I recently upgrade to the most recent version of ag_uf (r666 I believe), and my unit frames now seem to have their layer lower than it used to be: my HUD and my chat box cover the frames, where before the frames would cover the hud and my chat box. Is there a simple fix to this issue, or a configuration option that I missed somewhere that will allow me to set the layer of the frames?

Is there a simple way that I can reimplement the 'color names by class' feature of the older versions? In older versions i preferred to use a neutral color scheme for player health and mana, for consistency, and had only the player's names colored according to their classes.

I have an issue with Cowtip:

Units that are not 'local' (e.g. they have a location other then where I currently am) are not having their tooltips displayed. This persisted even when I attempted a 'clean' install, where I removed all my other mods and temporarily deleted my saved variables, thinking perhaps it was a conflict with settings that the updated mod was trying to import.

I don't know if cowtip can do this, but is there a way to enable buffs/debuffs on the tooltip? Some mod I used in the past used to be able to do this (probably tipbuddy); buffs would go above the tooltip and debuffs would go below.

I would like to know this myself. I use to use TinyTip, which had this functionality, but upgraded to Cowtip for a more configurable tooltip. However, I find I miss being able to scan for debuffs a lot. It helps to know who I should heal, whether they have a debuff that would not be filtered into something I can dispell.

I would suspect you have 2 versions of Threat running. Search for threat in your addons folder. Find the addon that is running an additional threat and remove that extra threat file.

Sorry about the delay in my replying. I have searched my addon folder for Threat, and the only results were its own library under omen. Additionally, some old KLH variables were (lua.bak) in my BlizzardUI_Auction of all places, but I don't think it could have any effect on Omen.

Anyone have another guess as to why people see me falling off Omen randomly?

    posted a message on Omen2
I have an intermittent issue with Omen, and I was wondering if someone might know a likely culprit.

People would comment that I suddenly drop off the meter, only to suddenly reappear again some time later (usually 30 minutes plus). This has happened on and off since I started using Omen months ago, so I do not think it is simply an issue with incompatibility between different versions of the new Omen2. There does not seem to be any consistent situation in which it occurs. I'm fairly certain it is a conflict with another mod that I run, but I cannot reliably reproduce the issue, and have far too many mods to have to disable and test individually. It does seem to often happen when fights are hectic, and I am switching targets often, but it has also happened when I've been fighting a single mob.

I think the primary culprit is ItemSync, chiefly its ability to inspect people for new items on mouseover. I vaguely recall that in order to do that it actually has to target the person for a split second, even though my actual target does not change. The other culprits might be Examiner or TinyTip for similar reasons, but again, without being able to replicate the issue reliably, I can't test them for myself.

Is anyone familiar with this issue, has had experience with it in the past, and know whether any of these ideas have merit?

posted a message on Does a mod like this exist (DKP Management)
My guild uses an auction-based zero sum DKP system. I am wondering if there any UI mods (ace or otherwise) that would allow members to bid to an officer simply using tells, and then automatically adjust the point pool of members present when the raid ends. I have looked at DKPMon for this, but the requirement that all members use Bidder in order for it to function is not acceptable (nor do I think any of the Bidder modules precisely fits our system, and I am no coder). It also, from what I can tell in game, doesn't allow for partial point credit if the individual had to leave mid-raid.

Our DKP system involves people bidding for items as you would expect. I'm primarily looking for a mod that will accept bids simply through tells and announce the highest current bid. Members should also be able to access their point totals from tells. At the end of the raid, the mod should allow partial credit values to be assigned (e.g. the master looter will mark that PersonX and PersonY will each only recieve 50% of the points spent during the raid, because X had to leave and Y replaced him), and also subtract fixed costs from members who were penalized for overbidding or being late without notice. These fixed costs would also be added to the point pool. The master looter can then tell the program to update point totals. It would be nice if this program also allows synchronization between officers, but that is not 100% necessary; if no synchronization is available, master looters should be able to update point totals manually from our website's system.

I realize this is quite a specific description of a program, and that it may simply not exist, but there are simply too many options for me to go around and try out each one to see whether they fit my guild. My thanks your time and any help you may offer on this search.
