    posted a message on Are DogTags too difficult? Help me make it better
    I assume you're not going to use newline stuff because you want to keep statements all in one block. This is fine, but realize the main problem this creates is multiple lines and indentation make it easy to follow a logical evaluation whereas in one line it gets complicated. I think understanding the nested test conditions and evaluations is what drives most people mad when establishing new sequences, so I'd humbly suggest a color coding system to make it easier to follow than having that one line all monochrome.

    [IsUnit(player)?[IsMaxLevel?[FractionalRep:Bracket]![FractionalXP:Bracket]]:Color(FFCC00)]

    is my nested logic to determine for Cowtips showing the player tooltip if 70 show reputation else show experience points. Given the internal collapser and figuring out my brackets drove me batty trying to get it right. I think I'd have a much easier time with:

    [IsUnit(player)?[IsMaxLevel?[FractionalRep:Bracket]![FractionalXP:Bracket]]:Color(FFCC00)]

    so I could get the same information as indentation allows normal code but in one-line format and when the system goes hog wild collapsing my statements to save space or deciding it knows best what I'm thinking I could see where I need to properly assert myself to have the evaluation complete as I intended

    Could you possibly make the XP Bar and Rep Bar attachable to separate frames I have 2 chat windows on opposite sides of the screen and two bars on one side looks really offputting I would like a nice balance

    I would appreciate it =)

    Something is wonky with the placement math. I have buffs and debuffs split, both on the right side, and both set to "Right then UP." Invert debuffs is not checked, in fact its greyed out in split mode so it should not be an issue.

    The idea is that I set the offsets from the "right side" anchor so I can have both buffs and debuffs grow "Right then UP." Unfortunately, with that set, my debuffs obey the rule but my buffs decide for themselves they'd rather go "Right then DOWN."

    Where is the menu to bind things on the Shapeshift Bar in the newest Bartender3? I don't know because I am new to using and I can't find it anywhere. I want Q for bear form button and E for cat form button... where do I set this? It is possible without console cmd/scripts, right?

    Its already there. Its called Global Settings.

    In Global settings, theres an options called "Filter" which you can check which panel you DON'T want to be affected by the Global Settings. So check them all exept the panel you want to change color, change the color. Then check them all exept the others you want a certain color, change that color, etc..

    Very tedious for several dozen panels, keeping in mind which is which, hoping I don't apply the wrong color somewhere, etc. Also, every time I want to change scheme, it means repeating the filtering process 4 times for each set of panels, as opposed to a perma-bind that would involve just changing the color variable.

    You can copy-paste things from one panel to the other. Or there's this mod: http://files.wowace.com/EnhancedColourPicker/EnhancedColourPicker-r37012.1028.zip

    Thats what I do now. It is very tedious.

    FEATURE REQUEST: Definable persistent color variables

    Can you allow us a module with a small number of master colors we can define (eeColor01...04 or something) and a field for each panel under panel settings that lets us just enter the name of the color and binds that panel to that variable and reacts to its changes?

    I only use maybe 4 colors amongst my dozens of eePanels, but I reuse all of them constantly, and it'd be nice to have a central place to change a color and have all of the panels respond to it instead of going through the panel lists and pasting each new color over what was there, then repeating for the three others when I feel like a change of scheme

    Are any updates or changes needed?

    Not functionally, no, but I'd like to see a summary for resilience comparisons to know how to best spend my precious AP at a glance =)

    posted a message on ElkBuffBars v2 (finally Ace3 version)
    2 feature requests, the first I think is easier than the other

    1. You allow people to specify alternate names for effects under Settings... could you just add a flat out "Abbreviate" option that takes the first letters of the words and just displays that? Here is an example I just ripped off of DogTag library right now that I think could do the same thing with a couple changes
    local function abbreviate(text)
    local b = text:byte(1)
    if b <= 127 then
    return text:sub(1, 1)
    elseif b <= 223 then
    return text:sub(1, 2)
    elseif b <= 239 then
    return text:sub(1, 3)
    else
    return text:sub(1, 4)
    end
    end
    Modifiers.Abbreviate = {[[
    if value:find(" ") then
    value = value:gsub(" *([^ ]+) *", DogTag___abbreviate)
    end
    ]], value = "string", ret = "string", globals = "DogTag.__abbreviate"}

    2. (Harder) Alongside the "whitelist" and "graylist" options could you have an "always display" option for buffs/debuffs with a color selection unique to that class?

    There is a mod called "pDebuffList" that was created to display a handful of raid buffs when you are in a raid, but all of the listings are there no matter what. As an example window you might get:
    [DS][TC][SA][CoS][CoE][CoR][FF]

    ...which means that Thunder Clap, Sunder Armor, Faerie Fire, etc. are missing from the target, but Curse of Shadows and Curse of Elements are up. Even if nothing is up, they will all display, just in red.

    Problem is pDebuffList was created by a raider for raiders and the seven or eight "essential" debuffs are set in stone and not changing because he wants to keep it super-small and unobtrusive. I understand, but I would like to be able to set up an entirely different selection for my targets with what I find to be important to me. ElkBBs seemed like the natural choice amongst the mods I use/admire, so I thought I'd ask ;)

    Would it be possible to include a simple slider for the "Update status on shift/alt modifier key" setting? I know it would be a performance hit somewhere to reduce it but it drives my OCD tendencies nutty and the option would be nice okay? =)

    Can you specify a bit? Slider for what?

    Oh man I'm an idiot, I composed the two halves of the post 15 minutes apart and never got to the point. What I mean is a slider to adjust update speed. Mods like Skinner uses a slider to determine how fast to wait for the UI or Grid/Pitbull have a frequency setting for how fast to update.

    When you press shift/alt it takes about a quarter second? I'm guessing to clear the old DRDAMAGE values and implement the new ones. I would just like the option to set that time as low as possible so it snaps on response instead of waiting for that moment.

    posted a message on DogTag: feature request
    Mostly a petty change, but can you add an alias like "Master" or something for [IsPet?[Guild]] - the 's PET at the end? For one, figuring out that you see the owner name as the pets guild is very unintuitive to me, and second, having a direct access alias to just the name of the owner would make the value a lot easier to play around with, rather than remembering to convert the text to strip the little end part each time, &c.
