I want my fubar right click menu back! I am deleting this damn rocklib crap off my machine now, because I didnt ask for it and I dont give a damn what addon requires it. I cannot BELIEVE that ANYONE would just up and hook the right click menu for fubar and force rockconfig to open.. AT LEAST give ME the option to open the config!

That was the creator of FuBar that did that, when he ported FuBar to Rock. Makes sense to me.

You can always revert back to the Ace2 version of FuBar. But you're going to be stuck for updated in the future if you decide to stick with it.

Ya, this is what I did. I went through the file indexes and downloaded the old versions of fubar, pitbull, parrot, and cowtip. I also finally got rid of cartographer (sadly it just wasn't what it used to be). Mostly I did this because the new releases of these files still have a lot of bugs/issues and I don't want to guinea pig them atm.

If you want release versions, get them from WoWInterface.com, Curse.com or UI.WorldofWar.net.

While generally I think is a very solid piece of advice, there are unfortunately a large number of addon authors who do not post release-quality versions to release sites with any regularity, if ever. On WoWInterface, PitBull has never been released, and Cartographer and FuBar haven't been updated since the 15th of March. So telling people who are unhappy with beta PitBull versions on Wowace to download from WoWInterface or similar is simply ridiculous. I think that authors should both post release-quality versions to release sites, and either post backwards-incompatible updates with a new name, or make sure that such updates have been extensively tested not only with WoW, but with WAU and similar. So while I think the poster you're responding to was out of line with his language and tone, I agree with the general idea of his post.

    On another note...

I'd also like to see an alternate configuration interface. I love Dewdrop, other than its propensity for closing itself... it's clean, intuitive, and handles both long lists and deeply nested option sets gracefully. Waterfall, on the other hand, is none of these things, and I'm a bit sad to see that in the conversion to Rock, the dropdown menu interface was dropped. :(

I second this notion, you can't even find ckknight addons at wowinterface for the most part. The only thing that bothers me about this particular update is that it covers all the ck mods at once. I've been updating with wowaceupdater for quite a while now and this is the first time I've ever had the horrifying feeling of opening my wow to a whole bunch of error messages and slow load. But I quickly went back to the old versions. It looks to me like the really easy fix to this would be to revamp the way aceupdater works. For example, with authors like ck going to new code like Rock, and Ace 3 also on the horizon, they might need to have a new category in the ace updater to warn people if they want to avoid a particular code.

Is there a way to zoom the portraits in or out. Obviously in the options there is currently only two selects of full body or the default headshot. I'd like to zoom the headshot out a little further than it currently is set at.

    Thanks.

While this update was pretty frustrating (I went back to older versions), you seriously need to take a chillpill. The authors of these mods provide you with a free service in their spare time. I do tend to agree that it would be nice if they were listed in the updater as Pitbull 1.0 then Pitbull 2.0. Would make it easier for us dumb folk to avoid problems.

Question, is there a way to zoom a head portrait out so it shows more of the head?

For heaven's sakes people, read. :P I gave a link to the last version of PitBull pre-rock.

I figured out how to go through the index and find the old versions of Pitbull, Parrot, Cowtip. and Fubar. Back to no bugs, yay! Wish there was a way to keep hardcore BETAS off the wowace updater but I suppose everythings a beta around these parts.

Aside from the loading errors, I'm so used to the dewdrop configuration I don't know if I'll update these for a while.

Ok, I made the mistake of updating this addon without making a backup. It's fubared my UI atm. I deleted the new pitbull and downloaded the old and installed it but I still have this rock addon. I don't see it in the addon listing to turn off or delete. How do I get rid of it?

posted a message on Request: Shadow Priest Vampiric Touch mod
    Hello,

Recently after two long years of heal botting I finally got to start using my dmg gear in a pve environment. Primarilly this is because of the debuff increases and my ability as a 10/0/41 shadow priest to nuke the living day lights out of everything (45% aggro reduction base), apply my dmg buff increases, and regen 5% of my dmg to mana for the entire party.

I'm looking for someone to create a simple combat log parser mod to recognize, record, and add messages like "You gain 26 mana from your Vampiric Touch."

I'm currently using a mod called spellwatch to keep VT up at all times but theres always that 1/2 second to 1 second period where I'm recasting as the last one expires that a SWP tick goes off.

Basically I'm looking for the ability to track how much dmg to mana was lost during a fight.

I'm sure some would also request a Vampiric Embrace tracker (healing from VE), but mainly I'm just interested in the Vampiric Touch mana regen.

    Thanks for your time.
