It isn't the script's fault.. the slowness you are experiencing is the fault of SVN.
Nothing you can really do about it, except dont use an SVN updater..
I didn't think it was using SVN as the repository. It appears to be pulling the files the same way WoWAceUpdater does, via the XML file's information. I'm working my way through the script now trying to find the slow down, but unfortunately files.wowace.com is down at the moment, so can't make any progress at all.
Jan 20, 2008_ForgeUser1190262 posted a message on wowace.py - lightweight, cross-platform addon updaterI just moved from Windows to a Mac full time yesterday, and picked up your script. It's great other than one weird problem. It's SUPER slow for some reason. This is on Mac OS X 10.5.1 with Python 2.5.1, and it takes for freaking ever to finish, but it does exactly what I want (no externals, as all the other ones that run on Mac want to stick externals in the mods). Great mod, works awesome, just wondering if anyone has a clue why it would run so slow on a Mac, or how I could debug it.Posted in: Updaters
Thanks in advance..
Nov 7, 2007Quick Question, I just started using Bartender3 a few days ago, and I just had the weirdest thing happen while I was playing my priest. When I died and gained Spirit of Redemption my action bar 1 disappeared. As soon as I fully died 15 seconds later, it went back to normal, but during Spirit of Redemption I was unable to cast any heals as I had lost my bar.Posted in: General AddOns
I checked the stances available for action bar 1, and there's only Shadow form, no Spirit of Redemption form. So I have no idea how to fix this, and I've tried searching in here, but didn't find any ideas.
Is this something that's only happening to me, or is it happening to others as well?
Oct 1, 2007And now for some reason, it won't stay hidden. I go into the Rock Config and tell it to hide the minimap button, and it goes away. I /logout and relogin and boom it's back. Something went wrong.Posted in: Rock

I'm having an issue with the xloot frame since the patch, I've tried deleting the xloot saved variables and removing and re-installing xloot itself. The frame behind the items is oddly wide, like 3 times the width of the items I'm looting. I've mucked with the scale settings a bit, this did affect it, but the frame width seemed to change inversely with the height. To get it scaled to where the frame matched the loot items it became frikkin huge, at a more normal size it was 1/3 of my screen wide, any smaller and it kept extending off. I'll try and screenshot it later if I can.
I'm having this same issue, the width is proper, just the height is like 6x bigger than it needs to be.
Update: What it appears is that no matter where I set my cursor, the bottom of the window always goes to the same point at the bottom of my screen (just above the 2nd set of action bars). So if I loot at the very top of my screen, than I get a very long window, if I loot near the bottom, I get a very short window.
Update 2: This appears to be a bug with my layout-cache.txt. I was looking in there, and I noticed there was a XLootFrame in the layout-cache.txt, and it's Anchor was set to BOTTOM not CENTER like it was on characters it was working on. So I simply deleted this out and let it recreate it and it's working fine now. I'm sure there's a way to fix this so that people don't have to go edit their layout-cache.txt files.
Sep 17, 2007An additional note, this is being caused by mods that still use Lib Jostle 2.0. I found that I had FuBar_LocationFu installed and that it was still using the old Jostle Lib. So I disabled the old Jostle Lib and Fubar_LocationFu and it's working fine. So the bug isn't in Jostle 3.0, but rather that the two aren't playing nicely together.Posted in: FuBar AddOns
What's weird is I don't understand why FuBar_LocationFu is messing with Jostle for in the first place. :-)
Sep 17, 2007Yeah a couple problems.Posted in: FuBar AddOns
1. I use the blizzard stand mini-map, and when I have auto-adjust frames enabled it's at the top of the screen (underneath my fubar), and if I toggle off auto-adjust frames it actually moves further up off the screen. I can post screen shots if it's helpful.
2. Please give us a way to get rid of the minimap icon, I can't for the life of me find a way to turn it off.
Sep 1, 2007I think it would be helpful if the profile was not character based, but default like most Ace addon's (all characters share a single profile unless you choose otherwise). I have a lot of characters, and I have to choose the default profile for each one of them. I realize this only has to be done once, but I have found it much easier to just modify the RegisterDB line each time I download a new copy of Omen versus actually selecting this. :-)Posted in: Raid AddOns
Jul 11, 2007Please give us a way to donate and get rid of these ads. I have never even considered another updater until today, but at the moment I'm not sure what other choice I have. Yes the servers cost money, yes you shouldn't have to support it all yourself, but doing it in the way you have chosen? I can't think of a more effective way to drive your users away than this.Posted in: Updaters
Anyway, let me know when I can donate and get an ad free version, otherwise, it was fun while it lasted.

ClosetGnome?: Toggle showing/hiding helms and backs with alt+click when creating or updating sets. Not thoroughly tested yet.
ClosetGnome is beta. It reminds you *every login*. Don't come bitching, please -- provide me solutions instead.
I'd prefer a simple toggle to disable the helm/cloak show/hide stuff. Allowing me to turn it off and be done with it would make me happy. ClosetGnome is wonderful as an equipment switching mod, but I really don't want it to start doing things outside of it's scope, which for me include overriding my visual settings.
Yeah, I'd like to have an option to disable this feature. I was only able to get it to work properly by actually editing the save files, as it kept screwing stuff up in the config file when I would set 2 of my sets to show the helm, and hide the cloak, and than my 3rd set I set to hide helm and show the cloak. I ended up with some kind of 1 -- False, stuff in my configuration file. I ended up reverting to the revision before this just so I could live with a single consistant approach.
Also I have noticed this bug for a long time. I have a set named Mount that the is setup for my riding crop. But for some reason it's not available in the drop down, so I can't edit it. It is in the remove menu, so I can remove it and re-add it, just weird that I can't edit it.
Apr 3, 2007I've got a quick question. I just started playing my mage again, and he is spec'd frost so he has the ability to summon a water elemental. The problem is I have FuBar installed with only a bar on top. I have the option to auto-adjust the frames turned on. I have the blizzard built in second row of bars on the bottom, and on the right hand side enabled. Whenever I summon my elemental in combat, the pet bar is on top of the second blizzard bars (see screenshot at http://aycu07.webshots.com/image/11526/2000466381467307568_rs.jpg where you can see the pet bars over the second row). If I disable the auto-adjust frames it works fine. Any ideas on how I might fix this?Posted in: FuBar AddOns
Mar 15, 2007I'm not sure if anyone is updating this mod, but I have been trying for a day now to track down the source of WoW blowing up when I logout on my MacBook Pro and I have actually found it to be Fubar_SWStats2Fu. Now it doesn't do this if you have the default settings, but if you set it to Auto Nuke your data on logout, it blows up. Evidently despite there being no "written" rule by Blizzard about how much you can do on the logout event, nuking the data is too much. It causes WoW to blow up with a data access violation. I found a pretty easy work around to this problem.Posted in: FuBar AddOns
Right now upon logout it set's a variable to TRUE saying "yeah I nuked the data on logout" and than nukes the data. On login it resets that variable back to FALSE.
I just moved the actual NUKE functionality up to the point where on login if the variable is TRUE than set it to false and nuke than, versus doing the nuke at logout. So in essence it's a nuke on next login now versus a nuke on logout. Same functionality, just no blowing up WoW.
Now I note that the PC version of WoW doesn't blow up with this on, only my MacBook Pro does. Weird, but whatever, probably cleaner to do it at login anyway.
Just curious if anyone else has seen a problem like this before.

Sure its possible. What did you have in mind?
Yeah, RP server, lol. There used to be a mod that let me type something like /language gnomish or /language common to switch between them. None of these mods have been updated for 2.0 it seems, so something along those lines would be handy.
