    sounds like you want Scribe:

    http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6674-CartographerScribe.html

Interesting. I'll have to check it out.

But what I really want is for it simply to be included with Cartographer. In Cart, I can mouseover some areas, and it'll give me that area's name at the top of the World Map window, but others it will not. There doesn't seem to be any reason for what is included and what's not.

In MetaMap, every area was listed when you moused over it. If it's an area you can "discover" and gain XP for, it's included. This simply doesn't seem to be the case with Cartographer.

[EDIT] I just saw this thread: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=4762.0, and that may be case for me. I'll check to see if the map is locked for me, and that may be reason I'm not seeing sub-zone info.

Tried this out. And it is not the problem. Cartographer simply seems to not have all sub-zones identified.

I use LocationFu. However, it only tells me the sub-zone I'm currently in.

What I want is when I look at the map, I can mouse over the map to identify every sub-zone there. That way when I am told in a quest to go to the "Abandoned Armory" in Nagrand (for example), I can actually find it on the map. Such functionality was present in MetaMap.

Currently, there are only about half of the sub-zones of any particular map labeled in Cartographer, unless there is a feature I'm missing (and I'm using every Cart module available).

    Does that explanation make sense?

[EDIT] I just saw this thread: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=4762.0, and that may be case for me. I'll check to see if the map is locked for me, and that may be reason I'm not seeing sub-zone info.

Where did you get Cartographer from ? It seems the latest version available on WowInterface is anterorior to LoD module support.

I always get all my Ace add-ons from the WoWAce Beta Files directory.

I've been using Cartographer for quite a while now, and I do love it.

However one thing it seems to be lacking compared to MetaMap is more area names being included with the maps. In MetaMap, you could mouse over any area of a map, and it would always tell you what the area is. With Cartographer, much of these areas are missing from both the labels on the map itself and the mouse-over info. As such, if a quest tells you to go to "X" local, you may not be able to determine where that is without hunting on your own or looking online.

[EDIT] Just to ad a bit more info: I'm talking about each area being a place that you gain experience from discovering, and that an add-on like FuBar_LocatinFu tells you you're in. WoW Allakhazam has a good display of each area (sub-zone) in a zone on it's maps, such as:

I need to test this a bit more tonight, but I noticed recently that my quest givers didn't seem to be getting tracked in Cartographer. I checked the Cartographer menu, and didn't see "Quests" at all.

Loading ACP, I found that Cartographer_Quests was listed as "Load on Demand", but hadn't loaded when I talked with quest givers.

posted a message on ItemBonusFu - Issues
A few issues I have noticed of late with FuBar_ItemBonusFu:

    1. Despite using different FuBar profiles for my characters, the stats I decide to track with ItemBonusFu are always carried across all characters.

For example; with my Rogue I like to track AGI and STR. However, if I logon with my Mage, and change the tracked stats to Spellpower and +Frost Damage, when I return to my Rogue it will be tracking Spellpower and +Frost Damage.

    2. I've noticed a discrepancy between the Spellpower that ItemBonusFu reports my mage as having, and that which is reported on the Character Pane. ItemBonusFu is showing about 30-60 less Spellpower than reported on my Character Pane and G15 LCD.

I have yet to manually calculate my Spellpower to see which is wrong.

has when a enemycastbar like eCastingbar ?

When I used to use eCastingBar, I don't remember it ever continuing for more than a fraction of a second after a spell got interrupted or I canceled it. With CBRipoff, it always continues through (at least until I start to cast something else, or the casting time ends).

posted a message on PerformanceFu Request
OK, I was just perusing the WoW UI forum, when I came across the "Upcoming 2.1.0 changes" thread (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=63167579&sid=1). In it, I noticed that Blizzard will be adding features to 2.1.0 that will allow you to track add-on memory usage on a per-add-on basis.

I'd like to request that PerformanceFu take advantage of these new features (when implemented), with the ability to pull up a listing of all add-ons and their individual memory usage.

Just a heads up, really. Thanks!

Could we get a Wiki page posted with details of nQuestLog (as well as maybe a few screenshots)?

I'm interested in it, but I've been using EQL for a very long time.

posted a message on Cartographer Vendors
    Quote from AstroCat »

Ok, when I have vendors enabled nothing happens. No error, no mark on the map, nothing. It is as if it wasn't there at all.
If I hit rebuild, I get all the vendors all over the place, but still if I delete one and then talk to the vendor again it is not added at all.
It is listed and enabled in the cartographer module list.

I noticed this last night as well, using r26783. I was bouncing all over Outland talking to vendors and trainers. None of them appeared on my map, despite having Cartographer_Vendors and Cartographer_Trainers turned on.

posted a message on ACP Error
Yep. Seemed to work fine last night using the r27219. Thanks!

    Two Requests:
    1. Could you make the actual frame and corresponding text smaller? I run my UI at 70% scale, and ACP looks quite huge when I open it up. Maybe just make it scale along with the UI.

    2. I used to use CS_AddOnOrganizer. One of the small yet useful features it had was the ability to edit an existing set. With ACP, you seem to have to save a set you've modified with the exact same name in order to overwrite it. Maybe make a dropdown in the save name dialog, so you can simply select an existing set name to overwrite, if you don't want to save a new set.

    Keep up the great work!

Can glowcap locations be added as treasure?

    that would be nice.

and then, we could turn them off if we need to :)

I too would like to see this.

    Take your time though.

*Note: I couldn't find an official thread for ACP.

I downloaded this Aced version of MCP the other day. It seems nice and works well, except when I try to load a saved profile. When I do so, I get the following error (as recorded by BugSack):

ability to add in cords ie 45,47 and plot a point on the map ... so you get cords off the site and go ingame and just press a button for a box to come up or somthing and you enter in 45,47 and it places a note on the map and makes the waypoints come up to it :)

You can already do that. Right-click anywhere one the map. Choose "Create Note". Type in the coordinates you want. Click "OK".
