while its impossible to say 100%, we're doing a lot more on the curse side of things. Manually checking all files and projects and we're keeping the same security measures on the wowace side of things.
I hope so because that's one of my biggest fears. Way to many people are getting their accounts hijacked over here in Europe because of dodgy adverts and links.
All I want is to update my addons, I don't want a whole load of hidden stuff on my machine. I'm very careful about what software I install and for some reason instinct tells me to be wary of Curse because they seem to be in it purely for the money whereas WoWAce were in it for the development side. I absolutely love the addons that have come from wowace but if it comes down to it I can do without rather than use Curse to be truly honest.
Thanks for the headsup Seerah. Wowinterface are usually spot on but their file server was directly accessed. Nasty that. :( Imagine if they got access to wowace files, eek doesn't bare thinking of.
Gotta agree there. Not to keen on wowui just lately though. It's a bit cheeky unless they asked permission. Personally I don't like going to wowui anymore. Last time I did I got a nasty keylogger from their mod downloading client and it wasn't an easy one to get rid of either, my avast checker didn't catch it and fortunately for me I realised immediately something was wrong because my addons were restting all the time and my pc was acting slow the moment I installed it. Just so happened to be the onlinegames keylogger. I installed Kapersky and it got rid of it thank goodness, so I would have to warn anyone thinking of using this uiworldofwar client, check it thoroughly first.
Getting this error if I try to open the bag frame with one of the extra bags:
[2007/11/16 04:57:40-9-x1]: Interface\FrameXML\ContainerFrame.lua:617: attempt to index a nil value:
<in C code>: in function `ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter'
Combuctor\item.lua:253: in function <Interface\AddOns\Combuctor\item.lua:236>
---
and I get huge icons that sometimes won't go away until I reload the ui.
Have you tried checking for a virus? It's just there's a certain keylogger going around that causes havoc with the addons folder. I can't remember exactly what it's called but it has onlinegames in the virus name and logs your wow key. It also makes your wow forget addon settings. Any wierdness just lately and that's the first thing I'd be looking for. Keylogging peeps are getting dead crafty.
so 2.2 sale pending messages, can we get some sort of filter for this or do i have to use the check boxs?
what a ridiculous thing to do really, was there a lot of spam or something trying to take the form of auction sales?
According to Euro GM's, they've done it to allow for better logging to see where mail is coming from and going to. To take out those gold sellers and farmers and account thieves.
I'm getting the 'uknown' thing in my log also. Not just hunters though, rogues and paladins etc. I notice it's right after I either log in or zone or sometimes it just happens without doing either. I'm not getting any errors with any mods and have reinstalled them all incase. Most strange. I'm also using SimpleCombatLog. Maybe some change Blizzard has done in the patch as it was fine beforehand.
Here's a screenshot with the combat log on the right and the unknown message.
When you click the bars and they go red, it disables them so they don't show. Just click them again and they go green to enable them. Very handy I find it.
I've had a problem now and then with resizing but a simple /resetui has always fixed it. I don't use Arkinventory though. I use baggins.
Doesn't work for me either and I just downloaded it from the wowace downloader. If it workse with Acolyte 1 installed then maybe it's one of the libraries.
Here is the error message I get on login.
