    @ Funky
    - I'm not sure how it works yet, but can't you make the blocks size automatically to fit the text with some predefined margin?

@ whoever is doing the ranged/melee stats
I know I can change it in myself, but it would be nice to get speed with two decimals.

I had auto-sizing in the melee/ranged stats, but it was removed when Funky added the mousewheel sizing (which I much prefer). I don't think auto-sizing is really going to help anything, because you won't be doing anything with the few pixels of space that change based on AP/crit/haste/etc. changes. If you show/hide different stats, you can take the time to resize the block appropriately.

Re: speed with two decimals. Yes, I can change that when I get the time to do so (hopefully tonight).

Coordinate block isnt keeping at 0 decimals, whenever i load into the game it has 1 decimal.

And is there word on getting the extra 0 cut off of the clock block?

I'll look at the Coordinate block. It seemed to be working for me, but I may have missed setting the precision based on profile when it initially loads.

I have an idea about removing the zero in the clock block (it annoys me, too), but I need to find out if it will work. Lua uses the strftime function in C to format times, and the possible format codes depend on the version of the C library that's included. I think the relevant codes are %k and %l to return the hour in 12 or 24 hour mode without the leading zero.

I think this was discussed earlier but am too lazy to go back and find it ... would you consider making the blocks sticky so that it would be quick to align them to one another?

This is not going in the Stat Blocks core, according to Funky, but there is potential for a mod to be able to do this. I'm personally interested in it, but I haven't had the time to implement anything or look into available libraries yet.

Just an opinion... but shards are much more of a reagent than an ammo. You may not necessarily purchase them from a vendor, but they are an inherient requirement for certain spells. Just as the stone for summoning an Infernal. (bah I forget their name right now).

but as ya know we all have opinions....

Love the work you have done.

As a warlock myself, my opinion would be that shards = ammo for warlocks. Heck, my preference would be to just have a StatBlocks_Shards, but the overhead of including ammo is so minimal, I'm not going to worry about it. Hunters depend on ammo for all their "spells" (until the legendary bow), so by your logic, ammo is technically a reagent.

Paradigmlie, there is a Coordinates block. As far as text outline and shadow...I dunno how to do that yet! I'm considering a Mail block...but I haven't figured out exactly what to put in it.

not sure exactly whenit popped up but got an error from DPS block:

AceLocale-3.0: StatBlocks_DPS: Missing entry for 'Include Pet':
    StatBlocks_DPS\StatBlocks_DPS.lua:108: in main chunk

     ---

Fixed. I have my svn stuff in a separate place...just didn't get the locale/enUS.lua file copied right.

Thank you for adding the % option, but it seems to be showing only the added Crit % instead of the total crit %. ie 203 crit rating = 9.20% instead of 28.19% total crit. Any chance that be looked into?

    Thx so much.

Fixed in both melee and ranged blocks. Most blocks saw some update/optimization today. I'm still working on the Tracker block, it's proving to be a tad more challenging.

I've updated the MeleeStats block to have a percentage option. I also removed the space between the label and the value in the interest of saving space. With decent color selection, it's still very readable. Also, for dual-wielders, the MH/OH display was shortened to "MH:1.0/1.0" instead of "MH: 1.0 OH: 1.0." The block will also auto-size based on the length of the text displayed. No point in a huge block with only 1-2 stats, and if I used percentage mode, it grew beyond the initial sizing! Similar updates to RangedStats are en route, just need the time to implement.

Also, the DPS block now includes an option to add your pet's damage to yours.

I love how minimalist these mods are! a great switch from SLCore. But one thing that SLCore has that this doesn't is a tracking "block." Is a popup menu from an icon just too bulky for this mod set? i can see how it would be, considering everything is just text.

Sounds like a good block, I'll be working on that one. Probably the logic used here will help with the Friends and Guild blocks.

Was trying out Meleestats, but decided to modify a bit. Dont know if you are going to make the change anyway Silverstorm, but I find GetCombatRatingBonus() and GetCritChance() is more informative. Using that on GetCombatRatingBonus() on hit and haste, and GetCritChance() obviously on crit chance ;) , and using %.2f for all three. Maybe an option in configuration to choose this would be optimal.

Anyways good work, thrilled with the StatBlocks mods :D

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I do want to offer the choice between the rating and the percentage, just hadn't gotten to that yet. I'll move it up the list on my priorities since it's been requested. The toggle will apply to all three ratings at the same time.

    @Silverstorm

Any word on when MeleeStats will be available?

I just uploaded it to the SVN, so it should be available in 20 minutes or so.

    New blocks:
    - Bags
    - Coordinates
    - DPS
    - Honor
    - MeleeStats
    - RangedStats

Any feedback is appreciated. If you have feature requests, keep in mind the simple nature of StatBlocks.

an idea to add some sort of master frame so you could use statblocks like fubar with swapping them on one bar if you have that one installed or use them as seperate blocks.

Hakker, I've thought about this. Right now, I'm gonna leave it as an idea, but in the future, it's possible that you'll see something because I do think that would be cool.

posted a message on Threat meter that actually works?
    Blacksen,

The new version was absolutely necessary, given the combat log rewrite done in 2.4. The old parsing will not work (and Blizzard even said that). Everyone else is experiencing the same issues you and your guild are (I'm posting while we all relog after crashing out on Shade).

The new version will be vastly superior, but it is not possible to have things perfect on initial release. There is no way to test things under the stress that a 25-man raid provides.

Any mods obtained from files.wowace.com or through the WowAceUpdater are in Beta, and are subject to change at any time.

In the meantime, enjoy WoW the way it originally was, before Kenco began KTM. :D

Instead of all the loadable addons and such, why not just create an addon with the ability to create custom blocks? For example, you click the 'New block' button, and thus you have a new block of which you can select the premade options (Money, XP, FPS), and then perhaps other blocks of which you can create your self using different libraries (ie. Dogtag).

It is certainly possible to do this. However, the idea behind StatBlocks is to be very small and very simple. If someone wants to write a SB module that works that way, they're free to do so. Imagine all the different functionality that would have to be coded to allow something like this. It would no longer be small or simple.

So far, the only module I can see having a need for multiple blocks is the DogTag one. The others are simple displays.

Will this work for hunters ranged AP/crit/haste?

also is there an easy way of copying a layout from one char to another? I am really enjoying this addon, thanks!

It will not work for ranged weapons. The API call I'm using takes a parameter indicating the stat I want, and there are different numbers to pass in based on melee or ranged. It should not be hard to make a RangedStats version...but I doubt my level 1 hunter is sufficient for testing it!

I haven't looked into copying a profile from one char to another. The intent of StatBlocks is to be so simple it isn't really needed, unlike unit frames or action bar mods, which get quite complex.

I must be missing something, but I cannot find the Wiki page for this or a download...

Looks great, hope to find it somewhere soon...

There is no wiki page for StatBlocks yet. Downloads can be found at files.wowace.com

Also, Honor module is written, mostly untested at this point, though. Once I have SVN access, it'll be available.

OK, base of MeleeStats is written, still waiting on SVN access. It needs some testing, and a couple config options that I want to add.

Currently shows AP, Hit Rating, Crit Rating, Haste Rating, MH/OH speed (or 2H speed).

I want to add options for showing Percentage instead of rating, and also to show/hide each rating. Weapon speed will have an option for 1 or 2 decimal places. Also planning on color options for the stat names and stat values (all names same, all values same for now).

OK, looking back through this thread, I see the following blocks requested, but I don't know what you want in them:
    • Friends - Do you just want a list?
    • Guild - Do you just want a list?
    • Armor - Do you want to see how much armor you have? Do you want an estimate of the mob you're attacking?
    • Bags - written, waiting on SVN access
    • Mail - Notification of new mail? Count of message in Mailbox? Count of items in Mailbox?
    • Minimap Buttons - understand...not sure how to do that right now
    • DPS - Yeah, this would be a nice one...I'll see what's available here.
    • Coordinates - written, waiting on SVN access
    • Honor - Pretty good idea of what people are wanting here, thanks for the info!
    • Melee Stats - I'll check out the Caster/Healer Stats and see what I can do.

Keep in mind the intent of StatBlocks to be very lightweight. I don't intend to make huge or fancy blocks, just simple ones that get the job done.

posted a message on MagicMarker - Raid Icon Marking made simple
    Neo,

I noticed a bug in our BT raid the other night. The UnitClass() call in ScanGroupMembers() would return nil for one of our druids, but worked fine for everyone else. I changed the GetRaidRosterInfo() call to the following, and it worked fine:

    (Line 157 in r63790) name, _, _, _, _, class = GetRaidRosterInfo(id)

For whatever reason, it just never worked for that particular druid.
