The aura code is really killing this unitframe mod for me. The interface lag introduced when I enable the display of debuffs on an enemy target ( which in a raid, can end up being quite a few debuffs) is really, really unworkable. While enabling debuff filtering resolves the stuttering it's not really a great solution because I can't see if a mob has sunders up, or curse of tongues, etc...
I very much agree with this. I had to disable the aura module because there were so many display bugs... I really love pitbull but how do you play w/out buff/debuff info?
Bumping for same thing.. performance is BAD with debuffs not filtered on targets.. and filtering them is hurting me in raids, this is a very serious performance issue for which mention has been made dozens of times by folks on this forum. Do we have any idea in the slightest how this can be resolved? Conflict with other mods perhaps?
I know i've posted on it a few times, and I've watched entire threads develop on this topic - seriously, can we hammer this one out once and for all? Perhaps we should begin compiling a list of UI mods ran by everyone with this issue and hunt for conflicts? Every so often, one person comes around and says they have no problem at all with auras/debuffs on target unit and such.. what makes them different from me? I can surely say its not the performance of my PC which I'd say is fairly high end (E6700 / 4gb ram / 8800GTX). Please?

Silvio, it's impossible. Feel free to thank Blizzard.
I point this specific problem out because its a problem that i never had with Tinytip. Why do I only experience it with CowTip?
EDIT: If this has something to do with custom tooltip on World Object only, I'd almost rather just disable custom tooltips on World Objects. As I said, never had this problem with TinyTip which I've been running forever.
Jul 21, 2007BUG:Posted in: General AddOns
I just switched to CowTip today and havent read all 16 pages, so I apologize in advance if this bug has already been reported.
I have Fade enabled with the fade set to Immediate for all 4 frame types (seems that if the Fade feature is disabled entirely, it simply disables the fade controls, yet fades anyway which is undesirable).
The problem lies with targetting World Objects (such as a Brazier). When Fade is set to instant, the tooltip still sticks to your cursor for several seconds after you mouse away from the object, then abruptly disappears. With fade enabled the behavior is the same, it just simply has a smooth fade to it. I think the intention was for it to work like the rest, disappearing immediately after mousing off of the object (which is what I would like it to do).

As Pitbul is now, try enabling debuff filtering. The problem has something to do with the way pitbul displays debuffs, the more debuffs the target has the more stuttering you get in the unitframes (and your UI in general).
I haven't tried debuff filtering, but i have been raiding (and stuttering) with Pitbull for over a month now in hopes that it would eventually end. The stuttering isnt game-breaking for me, but I believe it would be if I didnt recently build a brand new machine - although I am convinced it may be affecting my dps somewhat as melee. I only use Pitbull for Player, Target, ToT, Focus, and 5man party frames (disabled in raid).
My concern with debuff filtering on target is that I assume it would filter out Polymorph, or Hunters Mark for example (hunters kiting Hyjal trash) or any number of other debuffs which I may be keeping an eye out for. It's pretty self serving to turn off all debuffs but your own, especially when key information may need to be obtained (mob not having specific debuffs for example).
I really wish the stuttering would stop :( I love this mod and can't see myself using any other unitframes so I'm continuing to use it in hopes that it will eventually be fixed.
Jun 26, 2007My apologies for not being as clear. Say I have a stack of 20 items, but i want the items taking up 1 single per slot. Its rather tedious to hold shift, click the item, press OK, find an empty space in my bags, drag and click it, and rinse/repeat.Posted in: Addon Ideas
I split up Mark of the Illidari to mail out to members at the end of every raid week - i'd like to be able to break the stack into 20 singles (assuming I have 20 slots) so its easier to mail them off 1 at a time to each guild member based on how we distribute marks.
Jun 26, 2007Is there anything out there which will split a stack of items into a specified quantity? (or even splitting a stack into singles is fine) - I'd swear there were multiple mods out there which did this before, but I can't seem to find a single one now.. I could be hallucinating.Posted in: Addon Ideas

Last night was my first attempt at replacing aguf with pitbull and the only problem I'm having is a lot of 'hiccups' in raid. When people leave/join, die, zone in/out it's particularly noticeable (bigger hiccup), but other wise I see a hiccup every 3-5 sec lasting a little under a second. Unless someone has a direct recommendation I'll start disabling addons tonight and see if I can narrow this down a little.
Same here - performance has dropped significantly as of recent. I didnt notice these problems when I first began using pitbull. All things said, its possible its not pitbull, but its the only really "new" mod i'm running that gets updated frequently. I only use pitbull for Player, Target, Focus, ToT, and ToToT frames.

not sure what this "Quickslots" feature is doing exactly, but it sounds a bit like the thing "SwapMagic" is doing. when you hold down alt, you get a little menu showing you all items in your inventory you can equip in that slot.
Precisely what I was looking for - with this, ItemRack is now obsolete for me :) Thank you sir !
May 4, 2007I apologize in advance if this question was asked before..Posted in: General AddOns
Is there any chance for support of a "Quickslots" type feature, as seen in ItemRack and Outfitter when mousing over equipment slots in the character panel? If not, is there an Ace2'd mod available with that functionality?
May 3, 2007_ForgeUser1189312 posted a message on PitBull - How do I show Buffs, then Debuffs underneath? This is the same reason my raid leader uninstalled Pitbull after trying it, wanted debuffs and buffs on top but on separate lines.Posted in: Unit Frames
Nov 22, 2006After months of successful Loatheb kills using this addon, I wiped my raid on Loatheb this past week using the latest version, after we spent hours farming a Hakkar heart, Ony head, DM buffs, etc :(Posted in: Raid AddOns
Can anyone confirm the latest working version, and is it compatible with the most recent BigWigs?
