No offense, but for that combat text font, you should be hurt - severely. How on earth do you see anything on your monitor, make your actionbar buttons smaller, for the love of god. Just wait til Phanx gets her eyes on your ui >.<
No offense, but standardfonts are just sooo boring. at least to me. i want to feel the action when im in a fight and this font translates it perfectly. its not always about keeping the overview (which i still have with this UI btw) or so, for me its just about fun and this font is more fun to me than the regular fonts which are in included in msbt. You dont have to feel or like it, but that doesnt mean that your choice is better. Whats there to see in this game anyways? the trees? attacking nuclear radiated squirrels? ;)
if god loves me he will also love me with big action buttons i guess.
Jul 17, 2008Yesterday i was about to revamp my UI. I?m a big fan of Unitframe Customization and a lot of pitbull layouts i used were based on stuff from the "post cool pitbull layouts here!" thread in the Unitframes forum. Yesterday i wanted to try some layouts i havent tried before but, like many of you know and experienced firsthand by trying them, many layouts in this thread do not work anymore without tweaking them. I know we cant force everybody to update their work and edit their posts. So I think a forum might not be the right way to publish those kind of layouts because you cant tag them as not working if they are outdated plus they wont be updated if somebody isnt on the forums anymore (or even then some people choose to not update them, which is ok too). Another thing is that youd have the layout on top and you dont have to scroll through the whole page and find it between all the supportquestions.Posted in: General Chat
People who are new to the site wont notice that theyre not working anymore until they reach the last pages of the thread. Most people wont even read the last pages and just post "HALP!11LAYYYOUTZZ NO WERKING!!!11" even if it has already been posted in the thread what you have to change to make the layout work again. But I also wont blame anybody who is not willing to read 31 pages. So i thought it might be a good idea to start a blog about Unitframe Customization where each layout gets its own post, its own discussion and the blogger (yeah thats me i guess) can react when someone discovers that a layout doesnt work anymore and could tag it with "doesnt work anymore, looking for code adjustment". What do you think of this idea?
I have another Question, regarding copyrights on wowace. If I take a layout code from this page, would it be legal to publish it other websites, like e.g. my blog (off course with credits to the creator of the layout)?
So please dont get me wrong, i dont want this thread to die or so, because its the greatest thing ever, but i think it would be great if those great layouts from those great creators (i really mean this, you guys rock) would be presented in a more appealing way which would make it easier for people to find and use them.
