posted a message on Wiki guidelines for addon posting?
So... there's these "User:AuthorName" type pages and stuff.
Is there some kind of thing that should be done for wikis like
    "Addon:myAddon"?

I'm kind of worried to think about the kind of raid leader that concerns himself with
Dead main tank? Not sure whether healers or the random number generator are to blame?
    kind of crap.

But then, I think that the "Who the hell looted the coin" kinds of addons are a bit scary, also.

Regarding this rdx crap... WTB viable economic model.

It's all LUA, right? One person buys it, then allows it to be disseminated, and *bam* his income flow is dead.

He'd be better off using website advertising, and just not hosting the file on Curse/WoWI/etc.

Want this Ace'd? Make it availible, and eventualy someone will look at it, and do it. Plus, it'll even be compatible with rdx.

So... I was looking through the API, and trying to figure stuff out... like what is in Metrognome that's not in AceEvent.
As I've mentioned, I'm not so grate and dis reedin stuf; would someone please help me understand what the difference between the two is? Specifically, why use Metrognome over AceEvent?

Go to 599 and change the 3 to a 2 so that the line reads
        for loop = 1,2 do

Alternately, wait for me to commit the changes to the SVN.

Thanks. (though please read at the very very top of the thread where I ask you to submit bugs to the WoWinterface portal. I don't do well with reading forum threads.)

Successfully debugged out everything through an MC run tonight.
Thanks to SGA MC Orange on Perenolde (specifically Santiago, Janina, and Crius)
Um... So, yeah... fixed. If you get errors now, it's ckk's fault.

    1.6b is out.

There should be no bugs in this, only incorrect timers (which I'm working to iron out tonight.)

If you want to submit a bug or feature request, please use my portal at WoWInterface. If you submit a bug, please make sure it is a meaningful report, or I will close it without looking into it.

THIS VERSION IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SnaFu 1.3!!!
(it'll work fine with anything before 1.3, though)
Initial implementation of cooldown broadcasting. If other people in the group have SnaFu,
you should get the cooldown remaining on their soulstone. This will only work if they have
a soulstone (of any kind) conjured.
It should be forward compatible with any future datastrings I decide to create.
Increased spam to 4 times per minute. Get ready with that chat throttling! Yeehaw!

The comms in 1.3 were there for me to learn on (and before I'd decided how to transmit two numbers at the same time.)

    1.3 22Aug06
Initial implementation of time broadcasting. If other people in the raid have SnaFu, you
should get the duration on their soulstones. The spam event is thrown every 30 seconds
so it shouldn't eat too much bandwidth.
TODO: Spam all known stone times. (first I want to test with just personal stones.)
    Fixed numerous missing commas.

I have confirmed that communcation and timer sync'ing works while in a party, so it should work in a raid with no problems. (I plan to test it more this Saturday in MC, assuming they cooperate and help me test it.)

Once I figure out how to query timers on items in someone's backpack, I'll use that info to spam other SnaFu users with cooldowns on Soulstones.

Get your paladins to run SnaFu, and that should fix that. =p

The problem is that there is no way for you to query the paladin's buff timers. CTRA does this by sending and catching spam. Since everyone runs CTRA, they pick that info up.

I am (currently) reluctant to hook in to that info at this time because it means I need to figure out how to parse that info out.
An alternative would be to listen to spell casts, and look for soulstones, but that's too much processing.

(Have I mentioned that I wrote this for my paladin, not my warlock?)

There is a chat manager addon whose name eludes me that has this feature.

Struggle with Curse's search, and you might find it. (I'll look for it later.)

There's also a button addon that has Secret of Mana type windows with all the spirals and spinnings.

Your choices vary from the in-game sounds, to a very high pitched "fatality" or being told that your soul is to be swallowed by a very cranky demonic mother.

If you have alternate suggestions, post sounds files for me to review.

Alternately, I could toss in a text command to let people specify it themselves... hrm...

    edit:

    1.2 22Aug06
Set an option to toggle the audio cues.
If you want to edit what in-game sounds are used, you can edit that in the save file.

(haven't tested it (for obvious reasons (points at date and time)) but it should work. I'll mess with it more later.)

Optimized population of roster. Shouldn't really make a big difference unless
you're in a group with tons of pets, but still... I may code shit, but at
    least it's efficient shit.

Also, keep in mind this important message.
