AcePerfMeter no bug reports or issues in a long time now in either
AceSwiftShift one bug report in last month and its been fixed along with a major improvment
AceHeal again no major issues in a long time and just received a new config panel that I belive is working fine now (ya it has a few bugs the first cut but hey that life)
AcePerl while not done is getting pretty solid at this point with a full config frame and all unit frames in place now. Just need to iron out some of the smaller issues and put a bow on it.
That's 2 small mods one med and 2 large mods in what about 2 months since I start with this?
Nov 9, 2005Just as an FYI as my next major step to AcePerl, which might satsify some of the minigroup fans. I'm going to take the core or aceperl out and make it it's own addon. It will basicly be a unitframe maintainer. Then I or others can build seperate addones that focus on look/feel of the UI and register their component bars to the AceUnitFrames to maintain the bars. For example if you look at the current code AcePerl.xml provides some basic xml vitural frames, AcePerl.lua dues al the maintenance of the statusbars etc but creates none of them. AcePerl XYZ make all the real frames but do no on going maintence. AcePerlPlaye for example creates the playerframe and adds its varius components to a table in AcePerl leaving AcePerl to maintain things. This means the only module with and significant events registered is AcePerl currently AcePlayer for example has no event registered.Posted in: Addon Ideas
That being said and once done my next thing is to take on Industrials table/grid unit frame idea. Basicly he laid out a grid of 4 columns bu 2 rows. The first column consisted of palyer, pet, target, targettarget. The second row the 4 party members. Attached to the bottom an xp bar. My plain is to tweak that a bit by shrinking any player/party member with a pet's frame down to 2/3 normal and use the 1/3 saved for the pet. This allows for party pets to be shown without expanding the total size and frees one space up on the 1st row. For that space I plan on placing in either a targetstargetstarget frame OR a Mouseover frame. I havn't seen ANY mod take an real advantage of the mouseover unit. Basicly as you mouse over players, mobs or enemies you'll get a full unit frame for whoever you are moused over. Not really sure how usefull it will be but I'm goint to try it anyway. For buffs I'l have a single buff far above the first row. In from the left will be the player buffs. Target buffs/debuffs in from the right and when you mouse over any unit frame the target buffs on the left will switch to the buffs for whoever you mouse over. Thus solving the problem of showing 192 possible buffs on screen. The whole thing will dock eithe to the top, button or be free floating.

Nov 4, 2005I've had an idea for something of a cross between hitmod and SCT. If I ever get a chance to work on it. The basic idea is to side by side transparent windows. One shows damage/heals to you and one your target. Color coded etc. Bascily SCT moved into chat frames thus eliminating all the on_updates SCT uses and providing the ablity to scroll back though the recent combat spam.Posted in: Addon Ideas

You want global setting for all chars no matter what server use
/ace profile default aceclock
You want setting per class use
/ace profile class aceclock
You want per char use
/ace profile char aceclock
Sorry but no further profile setting will be added to my version of the clock anyway.

IE do for each of your chars "/ace profile char aceclock" this will change ace clock to save its setting per char/server. Then each char can have a different offset.Posted in: Addon Ideas

For me the unit frames server 2 purposes. I need longer term info and short term info. IMHO I need 2 types of unit frames. One that shows me just about everything so I can keep a monitor on the less frequently changing info IE buffs. and one that shows me the critical need to know right now info. For example I'm not going to be casting buffs in the middle of the fight so those can be sidelined from the imediat need to know (second type). But once the action is over I need to catch up on any buffing that dropped mid fight.
This is why for me my aceperl frames have 2 displays. There are the more standard frames showing buffs etc and then the combat HUD for the 2nd type. Thus no buffs on the HUD only health/mana/combat spam/combo points (for rogues) etc. For me it works VERY well and I'm quite happy with it.
Oh and I must have click cast healing on any unit frames cause I'm too lazy to do it any other way.
Oct 25, 2005When I broke the 50mb barrior and had to increase the mem to 60 I decided it was time to start over. Since then I've installed almost exclusivly Ace addons with a few exceptions and am down to around 20mb. Ya I'm missing a few things but overall game play is so much nicer with reloads when zones happening in a fraction of the previous time.Posted in: Addon Ideas

SCT I've used for a long time but I'm hopeing to eleminate the need for it with som of the other things I'm working on.
Comparing items would be great but eqipcompare broke last version and I havn't looked for /found an updated version yet. I'm kind of hoping the ace version will be available soon.
Don't need cooldowncound with ABInfo.
I don't do enough acution stuff to need auctionit.
