    Ya I would also recomend a split. A raid unit frame type addon perhapd wiht MT, MTT frames etc and then a CTRA assistant that worked in conjunction with the extra features of CTRA.

    There is really no reason for everyone in a raid to use the same raid addon any more. Everything you need is avaible through blizz events and functions. I recently dropped from a raid group that was doing MC etc because they had a requirement to use an addon called RDX. IMHO RDX was getting more ppl killed than it helped due to the bloat and lagginess it caused. Buts a different topic.

    I thinkthe issue is there is probably no way to find what each pet is trained in except the current pet. An addon would have to learn and keep track of that info over time as you use the pets and train them. I might be able to be done like the bank addons where you need to go to the bank first to initialize the list of stuff in the bank. You would need to summon each pet to initialize the list of what each pet knows.

    One cavet to price is created items water/food have no sell value but are generaly better then their vender versions that do have a coin value. Also some quest rewards might fall into this catagory or other loot items.

    Rowne you mentioned not wanting to do the UI stuff. If you want to work togther on this I'm game. I wouldn't say I'm very good with UI stuff but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

    If anyone has any great ideas on how to a nice UI config for this would look please post them. Draw em with text/paint or crayon I don't care.

    The other thing I don't like is how it handles use of lower level items. FYI I love autobar and won't play without it or an Ace replacemnt it's one of my must haves. Back to the issue. Auto bar has an internal lise lets just look at water. There is water1, water2, water3.... Let say you have water3 and water2 in your backpack then you can left click on the autobar icon to dring water3 or right click to drink water2. But what if you are out of water2 and only have water3 and water1. There is no way in autobar to dring water1. You have to go into your backpack. INMHO the right clilcking should downgrade use not by one item in the internal list but by 1 leve lof what you have on hand.

    Ya I got ya sorry about that. Let me finish up the aceunitframes I'm working on.

    I'm basicly taking aceperl.ul/xml and splitting it off into its own addon to funtion as a framework for creating unitframes. AceUnitFrames.xml will have all the pieces needed to create any unit frame you wish all as virtual frames. AcePerl and a new unit frame I'm working on will both server as examples on how to use the framework to create unit frame addons. You will still need to do some coding in lua and xml but the work required to make a unit frame add will be somewhere in the order of 1/10 or less of what it takes to create one from scratch.

    Bascily all you'll need to do is create the pieces of the unit frame and set thier size/location etc. This is done in the xml file using the virtual templates I provide so 90% of the work there is done for you. Then in the LUA you register the pieces of the frames you are creating with the framework and it takes over from their keeping everyhting up to date for you. Any pieces of you don't want don't create. IE if you don't want player portraits then skip them and the framework won't even register the the events needed to maintain them

    Note to anyone thinking why an I working on this instead of finihing up AcePerl. This is part of finishing up aceperl. This is alowing me to make another pass though all the main code and clean it up fixing bugs and making it even more effient as I go.

    British ya but you want thigs as you asked for and ohters other ways. There is no single one way. Thus everything ends up in options.

    shaolin113 have you tired the latest version. There is now a ui config to set things up making it much easier to use.

    I'd guess the afk timeout works off of a simple timer on hardware events. There is no way in an addon to produce a hardware event thus no way to avoid being timed out.

    Ya I understand but that ui and flexabiltiy comes at a very high cost in mem footprint in game and high mem usage = lower fps. In a perfect world my personaly ui would look exactly as I wanted without needing an UI optiont to configure it. No UI can do that for more than 1 person though thus options and configs are added but those come at a cost.

    I agree Devla I'll grab my addons where I can find then but curse has good so far now that they are banning ppl from downloaded for don't nothing but atempting to download a single addon in a day. Heck I got banned and I havn't downloaded an addon from them in weeks but one appernt double click on the download link and wham I'm banned.

    AP look and feel is pretty well finalized. Ya some more tweaks will happen and lots of bug fixes but I doubt I'll be making any major changes to the look/feel anymore.

    As for docs. Ya That will be required before anyone else will be able to make use of the unit frame engine. I'm not saying you can start makeing your own frames based on the engine yet just giving you something to look over to get a feel for what it will take.

    British to answer you question my plan as Sykokaj c/p my other post in is to seperate the unitframe updating engine if you will off to it's own addon. You can look at my current code and just look over say the AcePerlPlayer.xml and AcePerlPlayer.lua files. Those 2 files have no events registered. All the due is setup the look of the frames and add their compenents to a list in AcePerl.lua to maintain from that point on. AcePerlPlayer.lua also has all the options to change the look/feal of the playerframe so things like scaling, formats turing parts on/off (portrait) etc are all in aceperlplayer while keeping the hp/mana/xp bars up to date are all done by AcePerl.lua. Its a split between look/feel and functiion. This should make it much easier for other authors to make their own unitframes. I'm really looking foward to see what other will come up with once I get things split off.
