A little addon I tossed together to suit my particular playing needs. It's a self-cast mod but with a difference. It can be set to self-cast only when you are solo and in combat, and/or you can set it to self-cast on a double-tap (hit the same spell twice).
Available on SVN: http://www.wowace.com/files/index.php?path=SoloCast/

Oct 3, 2006Really nice HUD, Iceroth. I love the customization features. Now, what would be the possibility of getting my health and mana bars on one side and my target's on the other? That might be tough to add as a togglable feature, but could you give me some pointers on how I might mod it?Posted in: Unit Frames
Oct 3, 2006Posted in: Unit FramesQuote from Jayblah »I'm not Iceroth, but I hope to God his answer is "no." I can appreciate the beauty of that HUD as much as the next guy, but its a clear case of aesthetics taking place over functionality.
Please, just no.
I could see this actually being easier to read than many HUDs because of the wider top. As mana/health drop, the color not only disappears but also gets more narrow. It would provide a sort of countdown effect. However, this is too much artwork (though beautiful) for me.
I like the looks of IceHUD. I'll try it next time I play. I've been using ArcHUD, and I love its features, but it is hard for me to read. The arcs look great, but I think IceHUD's wide, slanted bars might be easier for me to watch.
Oct 2, 2006Awesome, PProvost. Works very slick. I had one error, which may be a problem with the addon's zip file, but otherwise it seemed to update everything beautifully.Posted in: Updaters

Sep 25, 2006Zeraph, Ace2 makes hooking simple. Look for the AceHook documentation from the API Documentation link at the left. It's a simple matter of, likely in your OnEnable, add this:Posted in: General Chat
Then in your addon you'll have a SomeFunction method that will (most likely) call the hook:
function MyAddOn:SomeFunction(<arg_list>) <execute code here> self.hooks.SomeFunction(<arg_list>) <and/or execute code here> end
I'm going from memory on syntax. Hopefully no typos above. :)
Sep 25, 2006Sorry about that, txamethyst. I forgot to include AceHook-2.0 in my Libs folder. My guess as to why it breaks on some characters is probably because you have different profiles loading or not loading various addons. When Coins works, that's probably because another addon was loading AceHook-2.0 and "fixing" Coins.Posted in: General AddOns
Hopefully it works now. Let me know otherwise.
Sep 25, 2006Hey, Grayhoof, just a follow-up to one of my earlier posts. The low-mana/low-health messages work fine. I'm just a tard. I didn't realize that VitalWatch was adding messages to my overhead. Sorry. *sheepish*Posted in: General AddOns
Sep 17, 2006_ForgeUser1187417 posted a message on Interest poll for supporting wowace's own svn server among other things. From my understanding, the server the SVN is on is not a good one for it. That's why the recent talks of locking it down to devs only. With the server solution Kaelten is suggesting, the SVN might be able to stay open. So that'd be one good reason for the move.Posted in: General Chat
I'll certainly be able to contribute, Kael.
Sep 15, 2006Fixed the /coins cashfmt display and trimmed down those lengthy usage messages. Just cosmetic changes, nothing excited.Posted in: General AddOns
For developers who may be interested, I implemented :CreateGetFunc() and :CreateSetFunc() methods to replace all those :IsXXX and :ToggleXXX methods I had. Looks cleaner, I think.
