I don't know about those addons but a couple that I've written that use Ace 3 work fine. The modules just have to be written with Disabling/Enabling in mind.

posted a message on Some pointers for my first mod
I use Notepad++ personally for Lua. There's a Visual Studio plugin somewhere for Lua but I seem to remember not being that impressed with it. There's also http://www.wowwiki.com/Lua_editors which as a list of Lua editors.

I have over 80 ace addons, and get this error maybe once or twice in 5-6 hours of playing... there is no way in hell i can narrow it down by disabling one at a time, it would take a week solid...

Well you could try disabling half and if you still have the problem then disable half of those and so on...

also if you are running ace mods, you have the command /script where you can run command and see most of the changes live.

ie. you do "/script oUF.units.player:SetPoint("CENTER", -200, -200)", and play with it until you got what you want, then you copy paste that in ur layout.lua. instead of changing, rl, changing, rl, etc..

LOL. I can't believe I didn't think of that when I was making my layout. Thanks for the tip!!

Is there a consolidated guide somewhere describing the oUF API? I realize there are plenty of examples in this thread, but I have been looking for a post or something by Haste describing his intention on how to use the methods he has created.

I am looking for something like

    setpoint(<anchor>, <frame to anchor to>, <anchor>, <x offset>, <y offset>)

Or something along those lines. As we have to close/reopen the WoW client for every change/tweak I was hoping to have some "rules" to do as much drycoding as possible.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

For SetPoint and SetAttribute you can look on wowwiki for a description. Things like RegisterStyle etc I'm not aware of any documentation. It's pretty straightforward though. Just look at the examples and read the wowapi and you should be fine.

Sorry, a slight misinterpretation there. LunarSphere is more lack of default "sets." ^_^

It takes ALOT of time ot configure LunarSphere for any particular class. It would be nice if there were default "mage", "necro", "druid", etc sets pre-builtin based on the class your currently running.

In the latest version(just a few days old) a feature similar to this was added. You can import/export templates. I think I remember seeing that predefined templates will be coming. Not much help you now though. But it close at least. I know what you mean know btw. I haven't played with the templates yet though.

Sorry for derailing your thread. Wasn't trying to make it a LunarSphere thread :)

I can feel for you I have the same exact type of colorblindness. I would do what Tekkub suggests and talk to your raid. If they are reasonable people they will understand...if not well then maybe look for another guild that is a little more understanding?

Pitbull isn't the only mod suffering from this. There's also ag_Unitframes, LunarShpere, AutoBar, and some new SCT mod I saw, to name a few.

I can understand your problems(maybe) with Ace based addons but LunarSphere? That has to be one of the easiest addons out there to configure. Moongaze went to a lot of trouble creating a complete manual on how to use it. Something most programmers don't do(myself included).

I'm with Indy write it for yourself it's posts like that that make me not want to release anything I've written.
