It seems that ArkInventory and the rpgo GuildProfiler don't play nice together, with them both loaded, GuildProfiler doesnt register the guild bank opening event and never scans the guild bank. If I disable Ark GP functions correctly.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

No there isn't atm. Can you give me an example of why you would want to? Currently you can create a custom event with the names of all tracked instance bosses for boss attempts or a custom event with any name you want.
We use several pre-made events such as;
On-time Bonus 5 DKP
Raid Signup Bonus 1 DKP
Gruul and Mag Bonus 5 DKP
Some of the generic bouses are instance specific but many are the same every raid, what I'd like to be able to do is from the raid tracker screen simply click on one of the premade bonuses and have it added to the current open raid.
We could use the "NEW" event but it is a little problematic for two reasons;
1. It hasn't been added as an event to all instances, IE when we're in SSC there is no NEW event in the event selector.
2. By using the new event the person import the raid to EQDKP must make sure he gets the event speeling correct or a new event is added to EQDKP instead of reusing the pre-created event.
It's really a minor thing but it seems from the raid tracker screen you are allowed to delete events from a closed raid but not add them. Is there a reason for this?
Apr 9, 2008Found a strange bug, but was able to recreate it twice (on the same raid)Posted in: General AddOns
I had a closed raid containing multiple events.
When doing the cleanup before exporting I deleted a single even that had no loot assigned to it.
immediately all items from ALL of the events in the raid were deleted and the spent DKP restored according to the message output.
I crashed wow to prevent saving the file, and went back and tried deleteing a different non-loot event with the same results, all items for the raid were removed.
Two more questions about events.
1. The raid tracker has an event view that lists events i've created in EQDKP, They don't show up anywhere else in MorgDKP though, is there anyway to apply those events to an open raid?
2. Is there anyway to add an item or event to a closed raid?
Apr 7, 2008#1 May have found a bug with MorgBid when using the bidwar option, with two players, the first and second bids seem to work OK, when the first player that bid attempts to rebid i get the following error.Posted in: General AddOns
[2008/04/07 13:31:49-104-x6]: MorgBid-3.6\MorgBid.lua:279: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'overbid' (a nil value)
I have tried setting the overbid value to both 0 (what i need) and any other value and both produce the same error.
#2 Is it possible to set a minimum bid with the bidwar option? We are using minimum bids with our system and being able to preset the starting bid to take the loot would be ideal.

I switched over from the more Generic DKPmon and Bid addons to MorgDKP, but there is one feature from DKPmon that i really miss from that app. The DKPInfo.lua file is kind of problematic when using tools like UniUploader, it continually gets over written by the newer file you provide in the archive, and if i accidentally start a raid without first replacing that file, it corrupts the data pretty badly preventing an export.
DKPmon got around this by creating the check for a file called custom.lua which if present would be used instead of DKPinfo.lua, that way whenever a new version of MorgDKP was released it would not overwrite the custom.lua file as it is not present in the archive.
Obviously the DKP Export file for the MorgDKP eqdkp plugin would also have to be changed to auto-magically write to the custom.lua file.
Is this a change that could be made?
Nov 12, 2007Posted in: General AddOnsThe dkpmon_epgpcsv export module is not putting in the commas and quotes when you do an export. This causes an error when you attempt to import your edited database. Please fix this.
No probem I should be able to fix this, this week.
There are two seperate pools tracked in the system, one for Class specific tier loot and one for Hybrid loot. The way the system is currently setup all points earned are added to both pools, then the priority is based on dividing the earned points by the loot points for each specific pool. giving you a seperate priority value for each pool.I spent yesterday trying out the standard epgp plugin and ran across this thread. Do you have to use more than one pool to use discord epgp? The pool is the persons ep right? I'm not sure why you would need more than one pool
Also I saw something mentioned in another thread that if you set the gp to a minimum value you can balance the system better between new raiders and the old raiders. Is there a way to do that?
I addressed that issue by allowing EP and GP to decay at seperate rates, which I think is a more valid solution IMO. we also use a 3 raid minimum to be able to bid on loot. I will look into adding a base GP value if people would really like to see it.
Is there a way to subrtract EP if you want to penalize someone?
Not yet i need to add this ability.
I noticed there are points in there for some items. Will it calculate points for items not already in the example.lua and if no how can we get something that will calculate this on the fly?
There is a setting in the options to allow item adding, be sure to set the correct level of items you want the mod to detect and add to the DB.
Oct 21, 2007Getting the following error when trying to bcast my points DB,Posted in: General AddOns
terface\AddOns\beql\Libs\AceComm-2.0\AceComm-2.0.lua line 3156:
prefix + text length cannot exceed 254 bytes
I saw a post refernecing this from the begginning of the year with no actual resolution. Any thoughts on how to debug this?

OK then I'm assuming your using only a single pool setup, to be honest the bulk of my testing was done using the dual pool option. I'll spend a little time testing everything while using only a single pool or multiple non "dual" pools.

I think I may need a command from Bidder to DKPmon. I'm try to create display for a "detailed" DKP browswer window (this is really to support EPGP but my be useful for any system). Basically I'm looking for a command that when requested by bidder sends a output similar to "PDB" but provide the following info... <name>|<class>|<pool 1 points earned>|<pool 1 points spent>|<pool 2 points earned>|<pool 2 points spent>.
The other command I'd like to implement allows the syncing of the specific mod settings in the database, I'm storing quite a bit of info under the specifics of my modname, loot added, boss farm status and other mod specific settings. I'd like to be able to sync that info to other DKPmon users. It seems that this might also need a "command" and I'm not sure if addons really have the ability to add new DKPmon commands.

Feel free to take a look at DKPmon_DiscordEPGP (You may notice a lot of familiar code) The auto-timed feature seems to work pretty will as long as it doesn't try to fire before DKPmon is ready.

Checked the "cleaned up" code and found that the DKP leader icon change wasn't happening after a reloadUI event (this may have something to do with my mod but I'm not positive). When i perform a reloadUI I get the the message "DKP leader has been changed to Vlorn" (me) with no icon change.
If i add back in the following code it seems to catch it and reflect the icon change.
function DKPmon:ReceiveLeaderClaim(sender) --self:Print("Got claim leader from "..sender) self.lastLeaderClaim = GetTime() if sender ~= self.leadername then self.leadername = sender DKPmon:Print("DKP leader has been changed to "..sender) DKPmon:SetIcon("Interface\\AddOns\\DKPmon\\DKPmon_leader.tga") self:UpdateDisplay() end if sender ~= UnitName("player") then self:SetLeader(false) DKPmon:SetIcon("Interface\\Addons\\DKPmon\\DKPmon_icon.tga") self:UpdateDisplay() end return true end
The more I test with it the more I think it's related to some code I'm using from the BossAuction mod that calls that function without calling the setLeader function. So it's probably borked in both addons.
Oct 3, 2007The initial modules have been completed and uploaded to the SVNPosted in: General AddOns
DiscordEPGP is an addin module for DKPmon and Bidder that provides very customizable support for the EPGP Loot system.
This module supports the following features:
- Award EP for Boss kills from a pre-generated list
- Automatically creates timed EP awards on entering named instances
- Notifies you if you have pending EP awards when you're out of combat
- Trys to automatically master-loot when you target/mouseover a boss in your list
- Supports pre-defined EP awards (IE Boss Attempts, Ontime Bonus, etc)
- Provides a method for officers to add a custom EP awards
- Bosskill detection with EP awarding and "farmstatus" recording for bosses. This allows bonus EP to be automatically earned when downing a new boss, and records in the DB when a boss should be considered on farm status.
- Every item is a fixed point cost ("GP"), as dictated by a database of items.
- Supports "dual pool" operation allowing the mod to track EPGP for two seperate pools within a single system. The primary purpose for this is to seperate Tier specific loot from general boss loot. The system calculates EP earned in two related pools, while GP is applied only to a specific pool. When a user queries for his current priority, the values for both pools are returned. Gear is assigned its GP value and correct pool via the custom.lua file.
- Supports separate decay values for EP and GP, this allows the users to decay both EP anf GP at separate rates, improving the customablity of the system and eliminating the need to start players at a base GP value above 1.
- Instance detection with auto logging functions (autostarts a new log when entering a named instance)
To use the addon, download the following projects from SVN:
Tailor DKPmon_DiscordEPGP/custom.lua to your guild's EPGP system, an example.lua file is provided with all instances and loot values populated.
Remember all bidders are required to have the original Bidder as well as Bidder_DiscordEPGP for the system to work correctly
Feel free to respond with any bugs found with this system or suggestions for improvement.
Future enhancements should include;
- A way to sync mod settings between players to ensure consistency
- A more detailed DKP display with both EP and GP displayed as well as sorting
- Class restrictions on bidding
I've also customized the original DKPmon_CSV addon to become, DKPmon_EPGPCSV(available on the SVN). This addon allows for the users to import and export to the points database for the EPGP system. The real difference between this and the original version is that EPGPCVS supports the import/export of both points earned (EP) and points spent (GP). It should work crrectly for ANY EPGP type system including the original by Xerophyte.
This mod is mostly reworked bits of code from other's DKP Mods for the DKPmon
framework. Many thanks to all those that have provided the core pieces required to
complete this work. Some but not all are;
Xerophyte's Original EPGP addon
Javek's BossAuction Addon
Eraslin for the core DKPmon addon
Oct 3, 2007Thanks for the help with this, as it turns out it was a simple as part of my addon trying to run before the core addon was ready, inserting a simple delay currently always firing( i'd like to hook it to something unique to a reloadui event) fixed the problem.Posted in: Lua Code Discussion
Oct 3, 2007The raid leader change concerns me a bit, as it seems to happen frequently if people join the raid or I reload my UI.Posted in: General AddOns
Would it be possible to setup a priority system to determine the actual raid leader? IE the default priority in the for somebody running the addon could be 5(lowest), then manually change either through the app or via the custom.lua file my priority to a 1 and the backup RL to a value of 2. That way we could control who is the DKP raid leader in any given instance. It would also enable me to easier complete another part of my addon which is the ability to sync DKPmon settings between users running the addon, I'd like to set it up such that I'm the master and people could only sync thier settings from me.
