Nov 6, 2006I have coded in Alert functionality in my copy of oCD, and since I have seen that there are more people that have requested it I was wondering what to do to share it? Post a patch file somewhere or make a branch?Posted in: General AddOns
Alert is given as a movable/lockable text frame in the middle of the screen. How long the message is displayed is also configurable. What spells alerts are given for are configurable. Actually you need to tell it every spell you want an alert for, extact spelling is required. Everything is done without use of OnUpdate, so it should place nice and clean.
New commandline commands added:
/ocd alert lock
/ocd alert add <spellname>
/ocd alert remove <spellname>
/ocd alert list
/ocd alert time <time>

I think this mainly depends on CPU power and i doubt that WoW makes good use of dual core.
Good luck ;)
There is currently a bug in WoW that limits the fps to max 64 fps with a dual core cpu. But I could live with 64 fps :)
