    Is this addOn still actively supported? If so, I'd like to make a request that tooltip info also appear when viewing chat links. Other than that, love it! :)

    No. This addon is not supported. I have quit WoW once again.

    Sorry guys.

    TradeskillInfo is English only, and seeing how little time I spend with WoW nowdays I'm not going to do any translations.

    Just discovered this addon and love it, does exactly what I need, nothing more, nothing less.

    Well, *almost* what I need - there is one feature I'm missing, namely the ability to display the amount of money I have on each character. Although there may be other addons that can do this as well, CharacterInfo seems to be exactly the sort of addon where this functionality would be appropriate. So consider this a feature request :-)

    (either that or I'm completely overlooking an already existing feature...)

    Arjen

    Well, Money is one of many things that I haven't added in CharactersInfo yet. To much to do, to little time. Personaly I use FuBar_MoneyFu.

    About dependencies, does that mean we need to use both CharacterInfo and CharacterInfoStorage to get MailInfo to work ?

    Well, technicaly you only need CharacterInfoStorage for it to work. But there is not way of seeing your mails without CharacterInfo. But mail notification still works.

    And I will probably make the whole recipients drop down thing optional.

    MailInfo is an addon that helps you keep track of your mails on all your characters. It requires CharacterInfoStorage since it stores the mails you send to your other characters in there.

    It has a drop down with recipients in the send mail frame. All your characters are automaticaly added to that list (or taken from CharacterInfoStorage the first time). If you send a mail to someone they are added to the list. You can easily remove names from the list.

    It gives notification when mails you sent to your other characters are delivered.
    Tracks mails on all of your chars and warns you when mail are about to expire or be returned.
    Mails you send to your other characters are visible in CharacterInfo immidiatly, and holding the mouse over them will show you how long until they are delivered. You can also manualy request a mail delivery status.
    Right click on a mail in the inbox frame will take any item and money in the mail.
    Configuration is done with command line /MailInfo, /mi or with FuBar_CharacterInfoFu.

    I made this a seperate addon instead of putting it into CharacterInfoStorage since alot of people are using other mail sending addons.

    Alot of the functionality comes from MailTo, but the code is all new. (No copy and paste)

    Well... Damn my bad english.
    My main character knows BS and Cooking, (from the TS list of TSI). And i set TSI to show these professions for me. My alt character is Jewelcrafter, but when i switch on it TSI window still shows BS and Cooking, and if i change BS to JC, same changes apply for the main character. What i wish is split set-ups for different characters.

    Ah. My bad. The configuration for TradeskillInfoUI is stored with TradeskillInfoUI which don't have a chat command. So changing profile for TradeskillInfo will do nothing for the configuration of TradeskillInfoUI. I'll have to make a fix for that.

    There's something not right about my TSI installation. I just installed it ten minutes ago, so I know I have the most updated version. I have both TSI and TSI UI installed.

    >> When I use /TSI config, I turned off the combine cost, but it still shows in my tradeskill windows.

    >> The skill requirement numbers are all messed up. For example, my Heavy Wool Bandage lists this: 0/0/145/115.

    Everything else seems to work as advertised. :p

    The turn off of the 'combine cost' actually works. It just seems like it don't :P Let me explain. The text is added the the "Reagents:" text label, but when it is turned off nothing is updating that text label leaving it as it was when the feature was turned off. I earlier had it reset to the original text, but that prevented other addons from adding info to the text label. I'll see if I can make a better solution. But for now if you disable 'Combine Cost' and then do a ReloadUI or when you log in the next time you should not see any combine cost from TradeskillInfo.

    The skill requirement numbers are not supplied with the addon, but are learned. I haven't found a reliable source for them. (And don't come dragging with thottbot because there numbers are often way off.)

    @Zidomo & Everyone else experiencing lockup's when opening mail:

    It's actually not CharacterInfoStorage that locksup, but the WoW client.
    The problem is when there are items in the mailbox that WoW needs to query the server about (not in the local cache). It seems that calling GetInboxItem or GetInboxItemLink for an item that not yet has it's info in the local cache will lockup the WoW client (sometimes for a few seconds and sometimes forever).

    I have checked other mail mods, and they all seem to just update items from the inbox when the inbox is closed, so I guess that's they way I'm going to do it also.

    Fixes:
    Comment out
    self:RegisterEvent("MAIL_INBOX_UPDATE","OnMailUpdate");
    in CharacterInfoStorage.lua
    Or turn of mail tracking '/CI StoreMail'
    Or upgrade to rev 30390 of CharacterInfoStorage.

    Same thing, I tried it with my mage, she had relatively few items in her mailbox, no problems. Then I logged on my shaman, her mailbox is pretty full, with several pages of stuff mailed to her, and CharacterInfo causes a lockup.

    Narrowed it down to CharacterInfo, with all other addons disabled, and only CharacterInfo working, WoW locks up whenever I open my mailbox.

    Reverted to using 29811, which works perfectly.

    I saw that problem once when I logged on right after the server had been down. So I changed the scanning of the mailbox from on mail open to on mail update and mail close, and then it worked for me. But maybe I need to remove on mail update.

    You can try and comment out the line 293
    	self:RegisterEvent("MAIL_INBOX_UPDATE","OnMailUpdate");
    in CharacterInfoStorage.lua

    I'll have to do some more testing on this.

    Yeah it seems that's Blizzard's fault. Anyways ty for the fix.
    One more question, any chance that TSI set-ups will be separated for profiles? Now if i set Smithing for my main character, smithing appears for all alt characters, and if i remove it for alt it is removed for main.

    I don't understand what you mean by "i set Smithing for my main character", but all configuration is done on a per profile basis, but there is no GUI to change profile. For that you need to use the slash command /tsi profile change {char/class/realm/default}

    I'm currently looking at a different configuration GUI since it takes to long to add new things the way it's done now.

    Recipe for the
    Dark Iron Pulverizer (BS 265)
    requires Weaponsmith.
    I've fixed this for my own, but just so author and everybody know...
    P.S. Great mod, but would be greater if in recipe links were not just item names, but item links.
    Good luck.

    Thanks. I'll update Dark Iron Pulverizer.

    The reason the Recipe Link doesn't contain the item links is that it will get to many characters to insert into the chatframe in one line. (All the special characters for the link takes alot of space).

    Edit:
    Strange. Dark Iron Pulverizer is one of the old Weaponsmithing recipes. According to a post by blizzard all those should no longer require specialization. Wonder if this is a bug by blizzard.

    I thought changes to a library that broke addons using it was a bad thing, and should be released as a new a new major version.

    I guess PT3 wasn't 'done' when it was released. :(

    Time to try to figure out what I need to change to get GarbageFu working again. :(

    I found 2 typos which cause this errors:
    In line 422 and 454 you can find somethink like this:
    ... +numSkills);
    You have to change this to -numSkills.

    Takika

    Thanks.
    I'll update the SVN with this change as soon as i've verified it works.

    UpdateKnownTradeRecipes id=nil, link=nil type=nil
    UpdateKnownTradeRecipes id=nil, link=nil type=nil

    (and a lot more)

    It is spammed in my main chat window, which is very irritating because you can no longer read what was in the chat before the spam. I would be very happy if this was fixed.

    You are running an old version of TradeskillInfo. Newer versions report more information, but only one line.
