Something else just happened, i was in alterac valley, about to finish, recieve an invite for warsong and arathi, i hide the join window, but after the 100 sec timer it still autojoin me in warsong, and a few second after in arathi, and then a few more seconds after kick me from arathi back to IF with deserter ? :)
Scary isn't it !
The Hide button is part of the default UI and is completely separate from Automaton's implementation. You are STILL IN the queue when you hide the popup box, Automaton does not even acknowledge that box's existence. Note that without Automaton enabled, even if you hide the box you can still join the battleground from the minimap button, this is for the same reason. In order to keep from joining, you need to explicitly remove yourself from the queue: right click on the minimap battleground icon and choose "Leave Queue"
I will agree this is a bit confusing, and some adjustments need to be made to correct it. These are the sorts of things I don't really think about because I've been using it for myself for probably a year, it's only having actual users that makes me see things from another perspective :p Bear with me, I'll work something out.

Just tested the latest svn version and the autojoin battleground queue is deaddly, it will autojoin no matter if you're already inside another battleground or not, could you make it to only autojoin when not inside another battleground, also do not autojoin when people are in instances, or do not autojoin if already grouped, this can be deadly if you're in a pve raid and forget to leave queue, or just did just alt-tab for a second.
exept this, the best automation mod out there.
Automation can be pretty tricky to choose what is best for the user. There are always special cases to consider. Generally my advice is to be aware that when it says it's going to try to automate something, it assumes you know best and you really mean it. However, I do agree more options that allow users to customize these special cases is a good idea.
I've got some tweaking to do with settings such as this that I'll try to work the kinks out of by the end of the week. Another thing it currently does a bit wrong is with AutoRez: the feature starts out as on, but does not default to persist. So after installing, if you don't mess with the options it should accept the first rez you receive and then turn itself off, which is a little confusing.
Nov 7, 2006Updated to 1.1.0, added most of the functionality requested thus far. Also modularized, so it's a simple matter to remove a feature you don't need completely or to add new functionality. Take a look at the wiki page for the new options.Posted in: General AddOns

i removed durability fu but can we have a display like it was for durability?
The intent of Automaton is to automate, not provide information. So in your case I would recommend you keep using DurabilityFu -- If you prefer Automaton's auto-repair functionality over DurabilityFu (and, to be honest I don't know the differences since I don't use it), you could just disable the feature in DurabilityFu and use it only for display, and continue using Automaton for auto-repairing.

Could you please include an automatic /who on persons inviting you to a group, but not in guild or on friends list?
Other auto-accept mods have this and it is a really nice feature :)
I hadn't seen or thought about this idea, I really like it. I'll add it to my todo list.

Auto tracking, track the same thing as you were tracking before you died.
I would assume tracking, find herbs/minerals, etc require hardware events to activate, meaning this could not be automated. I'll double check though.
In other news, I've been doing a lot with Automaton internally. I use my own SVN for development and only commit to wowace's when it's a version I'm ready to release, or critical bug fixes. I've gotten autosell, autojoinbg, and autorelease all working, and added a great many quests to autogossip's data. I've also restructured a bit and the next version I put up will be modularized.
I wanted to get it uploaded tonight, but it may have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday.
Thanks for the feedback, it's greatly appreciated!

Auto accept summons from raid/party ? :)
Also for the autorepair, possibly an option to repair inventory? If it doesn't already, I didn't think so from a glance at the coding:)
AutoRepair should be repairing both worn and inventory items -- RepairAllItems() used to only repair those you were wearing, but it appears somewhere along the lines they changed it to repair everything.
As for summons, I'm not sure on those. I'll personally often wait until I've finished buying reagents or something before accepting the summon. Automatic/immediate accept would keep me from getting last-minute things done before accepting. I'll think on how best to add this though.

autorez? autorelease? autoaccept raid invites? autoaccepttrade? autoacceptBGque? just some ides if they haven't been said already.
All of these are in already, or planned.

Not that they would be used too terribly often, but autodecline guild invites and party invites would help make it complete. :) Maybe let them only autodecline if the person offering isn't in your friends list, or guild list for the second option.
I had considered this. It seems as though an autodecline party could cause frustrations--for example, sometimes as you enter an area someone's already fighting a quest mob you want, and you have to quickly attempt to get an invite before it dies. In this case it's just something you have to remember to turn off, and if you don't they'll probably think "well screw this guy, asking for an invite and immediately declining. what a jerk." I'll give it some thought though.
An auto-decline for guild invites does definitely seem like something that would be handy though. Especially on the test realms.
Nov 3, 2006I'll add some comments in the DefaultData file explaining how to add your own for now. I've been thinking down the road I may add some method of viewing and manipulating the data set from within the game as well.Posted in: General AddOns
In the meantime, if there are any suggestions for what quests should be added, please by all means post them here. I only recently reactivated and I'm sure there are all kinds of repeatable quests that should be included, or that I simply never made use of so never thought to add :P
Nov 2, 2006Automaton Wiki Page -- Should give you the basic idea of Automaton, please have a look to see current features and future plans.Posted in: General AddOns
Please note that yes, I am aware of many addons which provide much of the functionality of Automaton: AutoTurnin, Denial2, FuBar_DurabilityFu, etc... The goal of Automaton is not to compete or rip off these features, but to expand on and bring them together, such that Automaton can be a central source for Automation needs. Along these lines: yes, all of this code is mine and was not 'stolen,' nor were the ideas borrowed from these other sources. I've had a version of this locally for over eight months now.
Automaton is very much a work in progress: There are some things I'd like to refactor, expand upon, and flesh out, as well as additional features I'd like to provide. However, in its current state Automaton is both functional and useful--so I thought I'd release it and start getting comments.
