    I am also working on something different. Its from a game called Demigod. I love the interface. A friend of mine brought it to my attention a day or two ago. I need suggestions on the target frame though. not sure I like it. the portait is too big...maybe it would look good resized, but keep the status bars the same size and length? ah yes early stages of ui developement.

    I really like this. What are you using to handle the unit frames and action bars?

    posted a message on Zuxana's Model Citizen - Model Turning
    I recently started using it as well. It does store your settings but only on a per-model basis. So after you meet that crocolisk the first time and set it the way you want it, any future crocolisks that share that model will retain the settings. There's no way to set like, custom defaults for new models you encounter. At least not that I've seen anyway!

    It's a little bit of a pain when you first start using the mod and are constantly running into new models to set, but eventually you'll have just about everything all nice.

    That screenshot should be easy to replicate too, just use a short window and zoom/pan the model up quite a bit so its focused on the face.

    I just wish I could anchor my ZMC frames to other frames...

    posted a message on Parenting daportrait to pitbull/kg doesn't work on load
    I had my frames all set up and working, using pitbull, kgpanels, and daportrait. Unfortunately when I reloaded, daportrait crashes stating it couldn't find the region it was parented to. I tried parenting the portraits to either pitbull or kgpanels, but it happens either way.

    I assume it's because daportrait is loading before pitbull/kg has created the frames its trying to be parent to.. or something like that.

    How do I fix this? I could just parent the portraits to uiparent, but then it'll be a big pain to move them if I decide to move my unit frames.. :(

    halp!

    posted a message on Jiggling a kgpanel
    I'm just starting to get my feet wet with scripting, and while I understand event based programming, I'm still a little lost when it comes to doing certain things, especially smoothly moving/resizing panels.. so...

    I'm trying to come up with a little snippet that will jiggle one of my panels when I get hit.

    Anyone mind pointing helping me get started here? :)

    I've got a UI idea in mind that requires offset health/power bars, but I'm not sure what the easiest way to do it is.

    Simply put I want to be able to offset my bars like:
    [||||||Health||||||]
    [||||Power|||||]

    I've been using pitbull for ages, but I can't make it do that. (it'd be perfect if you could set the blackspace in pitbull to be on the end of only one of the bars..)

    Can I do this with oUF? I'm not afraid to try scripting my own layout for it.. but I'd much rather be able to do this without having to. Are there any other unitframe mods that allow more freedom of positioning the bars?

    I always overlook the most simple things.... Turning on texture tiling lets me do exactly what I need :D

    Okay so I got a little ahead of myself when I posted this. I did more digging and figured out I need to use SetTexCoordModifiesRect and SetTexCoord, then I did even more digging and figured out how to use them on my panels.. or so I thought. Neither function seems to have any affect on my panel.

    What am I doing wrong? Or is that normal and I have to go about this whole thing another way? (I'd love to do this using eePanels, it makes working on the UI such a breeze)

    I've been setting up a very, very custom UI using eePanels and so far it's going awesome. But I've got some ideas in mind for a few finishing touches to bring it to life and I'm not quite sure how to do it.

    I have a programming background but I've never scripted anything in WoW before, so while I'm confident I can get going with a little help, I'm just not sure what to do on my own right now. :)

    So! Anyway! What I need to do is basically... mask a panel with another panel? Or.. a better way to say it would be resize a panel but clip the texture instead of squishing it? A simple example would be the infamous vertical 'bars' of HUD mods, where you have a panel that appears to drain/fill.

    I thought it would be a simple matter of creating an invisible dummy panel, with my texture image as its child, then by lowering the height of the parent dummy panel the texture would get clipped away. However changing the parent's height of course just changes the texture's height, squishing it down instead of clipping it away. I don't know enough about WoW scripting to know how to make it work the way I want it to...

    Sorry for being so long winded about a simple question, I've been experimenting with this all night and don't know where else to turn :)
