My original UI, about 2 years old(Pre TBC, when I quit):http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=llassaaho7wl6.jpg
My new UI, tried remaking my old one: http://img140.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot010409180523in5.jpg
Been having some problems remaking my old one. I can't get my combat log(s) like I had them(One side Outgoing Damage, one side Incoming and split up and shortened for easy reading). I also haven't been able to re-create the black borders that I put around everything. Came close with skinner, but not close enough. It was originally a small amount of code for the borders, but I completely forget how to do that.

Jan 8, 2007[BUG] I've been using Bartender3 since it first came out. I've been mostly using it for my rogue, but lately I've been playing my hunter. I've noticed that on my hunter, my FPS decreases greatly. I range from 30-40 on my Rogue, but with the same mods, only 10-14 on my Hunter.Posted in: General AddOns
I know this could be caused my conflicting mods so I did the following;
1) Played with no mods. My FPS were normal at abut 50 FPS.
2) Played with all mods BUT Bartender3. FPS was normal, 45 FPS average.
3) Played with JUST Bartender3. FPS went down to 10-14 on Average.
4) Played with all mods INCLUDING Bartender3. FPS went down to 10-14 on Average.
This led me to believe that Bartender3 is causing me to lag, most likely from the PetBar as everything else is the same. If you could check this out to see if it is actually Bartender3 that is causing that lag or tell me to do some other tests to see if it is even Bartender3 that is the culprit. Thanks. :)
Edit: My mods are all up-to-date as well including all Libraries.
Jan 8, 2007[Suggestion] Make each frame moveable. I like the look of Blizzards Default Unit Frames but I like them in the center of the screen. I could use Visor or a simlilar mod, but I'd hate to just use it for this.Posted in: Unit Frames
Jan 6, 2007Ok, clearing a few things up:Posted in: General Chat
1) His cpmputer is a desktop, I've no clue why he is using a Laptops Processor.
2) We both used the same settings in WoW, everything lowered down completely and no sound.
3) My computer is clean. I run virus/spyware programs weekly. His, though, I am not sure about.
4) I know enough about computers to keep my machine running at peek performance.
5) I can't run a Benchmark program as I am on my computer ATM.
6) I have virtually no background programs(save for the needed ones) running while playing WoW. He has quite a few.
So I checked again for the processor usage while playing WoW with his background programs and it was even lower than I first said. It fluctuates between 10 - 25% CPU usage. With that, he averages 50 FPS. On Average I get about 30 FPS...
Anyways, thanks for the help so far, when I get home I am going to try a few things. :)
Jan 6, 2007I have been noticing problems with them Processor usage of my computer while playing WoW. While it is idle, it runs at 0% usage. When I open WoW, it sky rockets to 100% usage. I decided to compare it to my Brother's computer, idle and while playing WoW. Idle, his runs at 0% as well, but while playing WoW, it only runs at about 30%. My Processor is better, and I also have more RAM(1.5 Gigs) but his graphics card is better. Here are some more details:Posted in: General Chat
Processor: Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz
RAM: 1.5 Gigs(2x512 and 2x 256)
Graphics Card: 128 MB(Drivers Updated)
Processor: Mobile AMD Athlon 1.8 Ghz
Graphics Card: 256 MB(Drivers Updated)
So my questions; Why, if my Processor is better, is WoW using 100% of my processor, yet about 30% of my brothers, with a worse processor? It also makes WoWs performance worse. This was tested without Mods just in case.
Oh, and he is also running many more background programs than I. Thankyou.

Same as my old one, just a bit cleaner with a few less mods. Same functionality though. ^_______^
Dec 21, 2006So, I got rid of Minimalist because I only used a few functions from it. Instead, I wrote a bit of code to get Chat Scrolling, Disable Fade, and Justify the chat. But there is one thing I am missing; The chat buttons being hidden. I wrote a bit of code(very simple stuff) to hide them, but it only hides them after a /reload ui. I made a macro, but it resets everytime my UI is reloaded as well. So I am trying to get it to hide the chat buttons without a /reload and without a macro. Here is the code I have for hiding them:Posted in: Addon Ideas
for i = 1, 7 do ChatFrameMenuButton:Hide() getglobal('ChatFrame'..i..'UpButton'):Hide() getglobal('ChatFrame'..i..'DownButton'):Hide() getglobal('ChatFrame'..i..'BottomButton'):Hide() end
So, how would I make it hide the chat buttons without a reload ui when I first log in? Thanks.
I had a guildie help me a little with watching for events or something, but it didn't work. I also looked at a few mods code, but couldn't figure it out.
Nov 15, 2006Ok, I must be missing something here. It seems other people have gotten this mod working, but when I enable it(With all mods on and all mods off[save for OneBag]) I get the following error:Posted in: General AddOns
Interface/Addons/OneBagSorter/OneBagSorter.lua:4: Attempt to index global 'PeriodicTableEmbed' (a nil value)
Yes, I know this is in Alpha state as well, but people seem to have it working and I'd like to take it for a test run.
Nov 10, 2006Request for AutoDismount:Posted in: General AddOns
As you have it now, it dismounts when it get's the error "You are mounted". This doesn't seem to work, maybe because I hid the errors window? Anyways, could you make it Dismount you when it sees "Show me where I can fly." or whatever it says when you talk to a flight master?
Oct 1, 2006I made a post like this a while back. In terms of pure performance, they said Bartender 2 was the most memory efficient because it doesn't create new bars, it re-uses Blizzards default bars.Posted in: AddOn HELP!
Bit again, they all perform very well. Now it is just a matter of preference for which one suites your needs.
