    I'm having a bit of an issue with KgPanels and Quartz. Whenever I parent a panel to the player cast bar (QuartzCastBar) and then reload my UI or log out, the panel no longer shows with the casting bar. I'm not sure if this is an issue with KgPanels or Quartz, it's only started happening within the last month despite working fine for some time. Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks.

    Edit: Figured out what was causing the panel to disappear. If I set the width/height to be percentage based it would cause the panel to disappear on UI reload or relogging. Using a fixed pixel width/height has seemed to keep the panel thus far.

    I had this same problem when 2.4 hit with eePanels, but I was using absolute values (not percentages). So I eventually gave up and just had the panels for the cast bar always showing. :(

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but this wouldn't work properly. How can you tell it was your own Corruption that faded from the mob, and not mine? Without scanning the mob using UnitDebuff() or something along those lines, you'd be removing bars erroneously, wouldn't you? What am I missing?

    Can you describe in a bit more detail the configuration you're using in GP please? Did you have two or more of the supported mana potions in your bags? I ran SSC last night no problems, having GP warn me all the way. I think I need more information from you. :)

    Unfortunately, I stuffed up a bit with the initialization of the saved variables. Thanks to a kind person named Rakkarage over at WoWInterface, we finally managed to get the problem reproduced on my computer. It is solved and available in the latest GP (r73439 or higher). I'm sorry for the time you've lost because of the problem.

    This is certainly a possibility. Hmmm, just had a look at the code though, and this request will be a little tougher to get going, if you want to know about CC effects put on the mob by other players in your group. This is mainly because of the way the WoW API works - I only get 'time remaining' information about debuffs on mobs when you (the player) are the one who cast the debuff (or in this case, the CC effect).

    So for me to alert when the CC effect falls off, and you didn't cast it, then it's a bit of work. Now that's not to say I can't or won't do it, but please don't hold your breath. I'll be sure to make a note of your feature request, and get to it as soon as my WoW and real-life schedule allows.

    Thinking about it though, this might be achieved by another method (sorry, I'm thinking as I type). Leave it with me. You may have it soon, or maybe not. Depends if the combat log works the way I expect. Stay tuned.

    EDIT: Just generated some test combat logs - yes, this will be fairly straight forward to do, but it will be a new alert type, probably called "CC Expiry (Target)" and "CC Expiry (Focus)", just so those who prefer the 'show-and-hold' method can keep it, and you can have expiry-only. I will try to get this done in the next few days.

    Make sure you're using r73187 or better (or just grab the latest to be sure) and try again. There was a bug I've recently fixed that was very very similar to the one you've posted the log for (and thank you for doing that). If it still fails, I'll get a warrior friend of mine to test it out for me.

    EDIT: My bad - the problem you're seeing would need you to reset the profile to fix it, or you can get r73314 (or higher) from WowAce shortly.

    Funnily enough, I'm a warlock too. :) I don't seem to be having any problems with the MobDebuffs showing when they should. I'll be sure to get any problems I find fixed straight away of course, since they're my bread-and-butter DPS. :) If you can give me any way to reliably reproduce the problem, that would speed things up quite considerably.

    As Digmouse points out, this is already available. Not through ButtonFacade or cyCircled, since well, ButtonFacade doesn't work on the frame types GP uses and both of them have skins designed to work with buttons that are 32x32 mostly (some scaling of action bar buttons doesn't harm the look too much either), but GP is designed for big, bold, in-your-face images that when you apply a button skin to them, doesn't look good at all.

    Hmmmm... dangerous territory there. :) You should never ever refresh a damage-debuff before it has expired, which is why you have early warnings available so you can tell it's coming up, but not to refresh it just yet. Having said that, the Mob Debuffs feature doesn't producr early warnings yet, so I'll make sure I add that feature in soon. There's no *real* harm refreshing your CoT/S/E/W early though. I'll think long and hard about this feature, since poorly configured, someone could lower their DPS with it. :( I'm just a little bit afraid of putting a big fat image icon the screen that says "Refresh UA NOW!" when it hasn't fallen off yet. :)

    Hello everyone,

    Ghost: Pulse is a WoW addon that flashes images on your screen to alert you to important events. Some of the things it can tell you about are...

    • A spell/ability comes off cooldown.
    • A pet's spell/ability comes off cooldown.
    • A trinket, potion or other item comes off cooldown.
    • A buff is applied to you, or fades.
    • A debuff is applied to you, or fades.
    • Your target or focus is crowd controlled.
    • A debuff you have cast on a mob expires.
    • You successfully cast a spell.
    • A spell is resisted, or the spell target is immune.
    • You've lost enough mana that a potion would be a good idea now.
    • You're a warlock and Life Tap/Dark Pact is a good thing to use right now.
    • Your enemy (target or focus) begins a spell cast.
    • You or a member of your group is debuffed with a magic, curse, disease or poison effect.


    After finally figuring it out, I've released Ghost: Pulse onto the SVN, so I'll be spending a lot of time here listening to what everyone has to say, taking suggestions and seeing where they lead and hopefully getting onto the bug reports ASAP.

    So, let any questions/queries/suggestions/bug reports begin. :)
